You have a lot of options at 28; socially, professionally; somehow I think the bigger issue is you finding out about her infidelity; that's what needs to be addressed first...there's a Netflix movie with a similar theme: An Interview With God; yeah, sounds all religious and stuff, but it isn't a bad movie, you might consider checking it out.

In my free time I literally devoured every book I could find on finance, economics, banking, trading, etc; so when I hit pretty big in the markets (and it was all my gain since I didn't have to share it anymore) that was my comeback; also landed a really good govt.job overseas with all expenses paid (rent, utilities, etc.); stayed 8 years and made it all back and then some; traveled Europe, joined a local 8-ball league and a Texas Hold Em' poker group; great German beer (bier) gardens and access…

Then you have to start paying taxes as a Single filer again; at same time you're also paying to maintain two separate households...like, what kind of life are you going to have. Find some happiness in other stuff, maybe? Golf, hunting, fishing, NFL football, reading books, whatever; maybe yo…

a.) wait until you're at least in 30s, try to marry a mature person; at least "ready" for marriage b.) don't marry into a family that doesn't have a pot to piss in, in the 1st place

I think a lot of marriages end up like this; I've never had success with "marriage therapy"; I'd consider these aspects: 47 is still fairly young, but your 60s are not far off, and that's typically when health starts to go south; do you want to marry again or face being alone in those years, is one question to ask yourself; your spouse sounds like a good person, even if you're no longer in love with her; I'm sure she would stick by your side if/when you need someone; what makes you think you'd f…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
