Nothing worse than a Gingrich.

Everything that you are going through is an understandable response to something incomprehensible. The advice here is on point: Find a grief counselor ASAP to help you through this. Full disclosure, I'm a psychotherapist and grief counselor and worked in hospice/pediatric hospice and palliative care. I've seen more than my fair share of children die and it's the worst thing that you will ever face. Now it's your job to honor your son's memory and get the help that you need. We don't get through …

There are some great responses on here already, so I’ll chime in with one that I haven’t seen yet. Think about what didn’t work in your relationship. When we perseverate on the good times we feel ok in the moment and worse in the long run. Focus on what didn’t work. It will make you more sad for a while, but that grief will help you get past this. Your mind will want to go back to what you are missing. Don’t do it. You are your mind’s master, not the other way around.

I perked up with curiosity about your concern regarding antipsychotics too, knowing that many of them are simply sleep medication or useful for anxiety. That's not something that is necessarily a red flag depending on it's use. Also, brilliant exposition on hypergamy.

Anger is a good topic for a post although there are pieces here which aren't on target. Anger is only the beginning of movement toward action. Freud wrote that depression is anger turned inward. Well, for non-biologically based depressions, there is a basis for this. However, anger is all about me. My pain. My struggle. My suffering. And it would be dangerous to put that anger into ourselves, shrug our shoulders, and mope into a life of complacency. No, we need to understand our anger and use it…

That was some ancient legal throwdown right there.

Thank you for clarifying r/nicemod. I posed the question in an attempt to better understand and to be able to take appropriate action. I'm grateful that I live in New England, where many people participate in local government and take it quite seriously. It saddened me to read the twitter post, since who among us would want to be represented by someone who would post something like this, and I'm glad that action is being taken. And thanks for being a mod. Tis often a thankless job.

Why was the personal information omitted? Isn't that needed?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
