People can be lots of things. It is unfair to label feminists as man haters. It shows a fundamental misunderstanding of the definition of equality. Feminism isn't an emotional, hate driven movement. I am a feminist, and I love my male partner. He is given certain privileges and so am I. A privilege is an unearned benefit given to various groups of people based on their appearence or social status. I think privileges are unfair regardless of they are beneficial to some, that benefit will always p…

First women aren't a minority. Second, I disagree with your statement. It shows little understanding of how social structures work.

I quoted from wikipedia.

Yes. Who are these "feminists" who say such objectionable things? Are we considering the Real Housewives to be feminists? The popular media? There is rarely anything ever in popular media that has anything even remotely to do with the actual feminist movement.

Those aren't feminists. No feminist I've known or have ever known used men to advance themselves in anyway. These people are liars or are mislabled.

Yeah I have no idea what kind of crazy definition they use. The popular definition has nothing to do with the actual feminist movement. I've never seen reconciliation between the ideas of what MRM thinks feminism is and what it actually is.

I have repeatedly asked this forum to give examples of this hypocrisy you speak of. No one has ever provided a response. I ask of you, please support this claim. Find me an example please.

Also, many members of MRM don't understand what feminism is...A feminist is "an advocate or supporter of the rights and equality of women." -wiki

What are these feminist groups you speak of? We must not run in the same circles.

I am a feminist, and I subscribe to mens rights in recognition of the prejudice and unfairness that is imposed on men in western society. Gender roles unfairly categorize and stigmatize all sorts of things that aren't good for anyone. I believe men and boys should grow up to have the same freedoms as women, especially with regards to the respect they deserve as well as their pursuit in happiness. How ya like them apples? I fight for the rights of men and boys, as I fight for the rights all of cr…

These are the posts that I signed up to be part of this subreddit for. Thank you! All the feminist bashing that we see to often gets old and childish. I've been thinking about unsubscribing because I really don't know if a lot of the users on here are really interested in equality or if they are just wanting to feel feminist hate, but thank you for renewing my interest in the spirit of this forum. Edit: typo.

As far as I know, most self-respecting feminists aren't part of typical engagement ring market. There is a difference between mainstream women, feminists, and women who are mainstream feminists who identify as feminists but don't know what "feminist" means. Many men and women, who are unfamiliar with what feminism actually is, are intimidated by feminists maybe uninformed as to their dating habits.

Circumcision for babies and children sucks regardless of gender. If you want to be circumcised! Fine! Get a tattoo while you are at it, when you're an adult. Child abuse is child abuse.

Okay fine, no one can take off-the-cuff remarks, I get it. I'll just let you guys take yourselves really seriously.

Wtf? I was commenting on the contents of the article, because I thought giving women parking spaces was really stupid, lame, and generally offensive to men and women. Way to troll and judge. Jerk.

Feminism is about women being free to not only be treated a certain (equal) way, but to recognize the unequal aspects of our current paradigm, (safety of movement, workplace pay, portrayal in media, etc.) Feminism isn't just about justifying getting primo lifeboat real estate and then never saying thanks. (No denying there may have been people who did that, as feminist are people who may or may not be terrible as some people are.) And it's not about having you pick up the tab every time and expe…
