My husband What is his height?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/23 05:39 PM

Your original comment was incorrect. You said that most people are above average height, which is false. The correct thing to say is that most people are average or above average height.
/r/AllPillDebate03/07/23 02:28 AM

Meaning most men are average height, or taller. Okay? You could also say that most men are average height, or shorter.

it doesn't have the same sexual impact Height is absolutely needed for sexual attraction.
/r/AllPillDebate03/07/23 02:05 AM

If you’re above average height which is most people This is a completely contradictory statement. Average is literally the mean. 50% of people are below average, 50% of people are above average. How the fuck can "most people" be above average height?

you're clearly on a warpath. Yes. Ironically, what led to this was people telling me to go outside, see the real world, and stop taking things on social media seriously, because the internet apparently blows things out of proportion. When I do go outside – and it doesn't matter where, literally anywhere (uni campus, part-time job, shopping mall, outdoor festivals, grocery store, entertainment district downtown, doctor's office, the DMV, etc.) – in around 80% of the straight couples I see, the ma…

25% Which is still a pretty high amount. It's a higher than the percentage of men above 6 feet tall.

So basically a 5'7" guy will have to compensate a lot for his lack of height by being "ambitious" and having actually "interesting" hobbies and such while a 6'0" will guy still do just as well dating without having as much ambition and crap

So you've decided that you're never going to get a date after never having spoken to a girl. I literally never said this. You're making completely random shit up just to attack me. presumably plenty of guys who are not celibate are also not tall. ...I mean, yeah, it doesn't take Sherlock to find out that there are still short men getting laid, married, having children and being otherwise successful in romantic/sexual relationships. The point is that short men are just a lot less likely to do the…

...what the hell are you even on about? The average height of married men being 2 inches taller than the average height of men overall does not mean that only 30% of men are getting married. It means that men of below-average height are not getting married as much as men of above-average height. I am guessing you’ve never taken a statistics class. Lmao after that pathetic comment I doubt you have either.

Pretty audacious of you to assume I've ever been rejected by a woman in my life. News flash: I haven't, because I've never even asked a girl out in my life. But this post isn't about me. You're wrong. There are tons of studies and polls out there showing that most women do only date men of above-average height. How am I wrong, exactly? Go ahead and resort to another ad hominem if you can't come up with something that disproves the evidence.

Explain that to all the people who uphold the double standard of objectification / sexualization of men in pop culture, then. As well as the people who think male harassment is virtually non-existent. Also, I never excused it. It's a shallow and pathetic preference regardless of which gender has it. Crazy how adamant you are to defend people eliminating someone as a potential date solely because of an unreasonable height requirement.

It's because overall women are, by and large, far more picky/shallow when it comes to height preferences than men are.
/r/ExRedPill13/06/23 05:58 AM

u/Melvin-Melon lmao, are you seriously denying that most people agree it's shallow af to solely date tall guys?
/r/ExRedPill13/06/23 05:48 AM

No, I don't get to decide, but there are certain preferences that most people would consider to be shallow and having a ridiculous "tall guys only" preference is one of them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

it's perfectly reasonable for a woman to say "he just has to be a bit taller than me" depending on the height, it's pretty unreasonable for a woman to say "he needs to be at least 8 inches taller than me" no offence but the latter is shallow as fuck lol

"all things being equal" 6' is better than 5'7" in other words, if you're a shorter-than-average guy you're screwed.

It's not the same elsewhere. There is evidence suggesting that height requirements are fairly universal and common among women of all countries and cultures, not just the US. Speaking anecdotally based on what I've seen, European and East Asian women in particular tend to be quite vocal about preferring taller guys.

i mean, if you wanna discredit this for looking too old then you can go to literally any recent TikTok video where someone walks around a public place and asks random women what height they prefer in a guy

You do realize that preference =/= dealbreaker though, right? There's a massive difference between a woman who says "I'd like it if he were tall" and a woman who says "I would never date a short man"

More than 60% of men become fathers Sure, but the average height of men who do become fathers is around 2 inches taller than the average height of men overall. It's a pretty well-studied fact that most women do not date short men.

That's not the point. There will be guys under 6' who are considered "hot", yes, but most women only date guys above 6'.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
