2	How to do the very basics? Unfortunately I don't have any friends to do things with, and I'm not sure how to make them. I can talk to people well and stuff, but then they just leave. I basically don't know how to friend-close guys. Also broke. I can try joining clubs and stuff to do this, but it'd be nice to have friends. Any advice on how to make friends? 1	How to do the very basics? apply systematic desensitization to approaching women. Is there any way to do this? I think I'm at the point where I can pretty much start a platonic conversation with a random woman (assuming there's a bit of a reason), but the whole flirting thing is the wall (expressing myself as a sexual person who is interested in her). I just feel terrified that if I start talking to a girl in a bookstore or something and put that out there, she's going to reject me badly, thinking "omg wtf is this creeper doing." Everyone is talking about these high energy approaches ("just pick her up and swing her around, be exciting") and it's tough to get to that energy level. 1	How to do the very basics? I'm already past 6. I can go to a bar and strike up a conversation with the person next to me (only if male). I can talk to strangers on the street, but only in friendly ways.
