I am also personally saving myself for marriage, but I live in a somewhat conservative country so I do not have any of the social pressures that you are experiencing now. But to those who ask, this is how I explain my choice: Oxytocin is a hormone that makes us bond, increases empathy and trust, and is released by physical touch. Receiving a hug from someone gives you fuzzy feelings because of this hormone. To grasp how powerful it can be, we look at mothers. The surge of oxytocin while giving b…

I met my captain at the gym. I was minding my own business when I saw him from periphery watching me squat. I looked directly at him after the set, expecting him to look away. Instead, he unapologetically smiled and greeted me with a compliment on my form. We've frequently crossed paths at the gym and worked out together a few times after that before he asked me out.

What you are feeling right now is normal. You lost a part of yourself when the relationship ended. Allow yourself to feel the pain and when you are ready, let it go. In the mean time, surround yourself with people who understand you. Find your support group. It may be lonely now but it will pass, I promise you.

It's only been two months. If you think that's not enough time yet to mourn for your 5 year relationship, then take more time. You'll get back to your old self once you're ready. Throwing yourself into rebounds won't satisfy you. it might make you more down, even.

This is totaly fine in my opinion. Some women do prefer this approach as well. I guess you just posted on the wrong sub. As the name implies, this sub aims to seduce women, and not to befriend them. I can sense from your post that you are quite an old fashioned guy who like to do things traditionally. Slow paced. It could work. But you have to find a girl who shares your dating view. Also, don't forget that the objective of dating is not just to have sex with someone, but it is also done to get …

Doing an activity together is, in my opinion, a better date option than just going out for dinner. Hit the gym and grab some post workout meal with that lady. The exercise endorphin rush will also help in your favor.

I met him at the gym. I know I want somebody who loves himself enough to take care of his body, so I started working out and made an effort to take care of mine as well. We hit it off immediately.

I can attest to this. The strongest guy at my gym is a 41 year old gent who has the physique most guys in their 20's and 30's could only dream about. I see women half his age ogle at him and checks him out. Lifting really does wonders. Never skip your workout, guys.

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. You attract beta males because you give off signs that you are in for serious lasting relationship, you look for beta male qualities and are attracted to them, so of course, you attract them in return. About your situation now, the way I see it, you have to know and be certain first of what you want in your man. Do you want an alpha or a beta male? Cause it seems like you have an amazing guy and you know it but still you are not content. Why is that? Y…

I don't know if it will help you but writing my thoughts and feelings on paper like I'm talking to my boyfriend helps me a lot in dealing with these things. I know its hard to be away from your guy specially if you live together but I this is an opportunity to know yourself more, be more mature, more independent. I hope you use the time well. Best of luck! He'll be back soon enough.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
