In reporting for these conflicts adult males are presumed combatants. I’m not saying that’s right but it’s difficult to distinguish between a civilian and a combatant in these situations. The (wrong) expectation is that adult men are soldiers.

It is an important distinction “woman and children” means civilian non-combatants. Which is of course only true because men are conscripted/pressured into combat roles. I’ve used women/children deaths in analysis work to estimate civilian deaths.

There have been cases where courts forced a sperm donor to pay child support, but also cases where the courts denied the request. Generally the courts care most about 'someone' providing for the child, regardless of any contracts/agreements/rapes/thefts etc. Their biggest concern is finding someone to pay for the child, the easiest person to pin this on is the biological father.

I heard many restaurants don't have toothpicks out of fear that someone will hurt themselves and sue them there may have been a few restaurants that stopped serving toothpicks for this reason, but I still find them very frequently.

At least it seems like she is going to get her due Those allegations were later proved to be false. I hope they tack on false accusation claims (or whatever the legal terms are), there needs to be stiffer punishments for these sorts of things. Those accusations have the power to ruin lives and should be punished accordingly.
