CICO does not explain what is happening on the metabolic level and it does nothing for the poor souls who gain weight so easily. This is totally wrong. People handle modern day junk food/carbohydrate loads differently based on a number of genetic factors relating to insulin response. Our modern diet is very carb rich and some folks just cant handle that as well as others. Theres a reason some skinny people can shovel junk food in their faces all day long and not gain a pound, its called genetics.
