Nice perspective! I remember a quote from Van Wilder that reminds me of this: "Don't take life too seriously, or you won't make it out alive."

Keep improving yourself physically, mentally, and socially. So keep lifting to become buff as hell, keep studying and learning for your own sake, and improve your social skills. This means talking to your friends, other students, strangers, girls, etc. I recommend cold approaches too because it helps you realize there's nothing to fear.

Solid advice. I won't repeat this situation again.

It wasn't weeks of effort. I texted her once a week to see if she was available, and when she said no, I dropped it from there and went on with my life. I disagree with your judgement of the situation, but I agree with your advice. Won't make a repeat of this situation.

Sorry to hear you think it's cringy, but your advice is solid. I won't make this mistake again.

That's what I did, just a bit longer. I was giving some leeway in case she was actually busy. Now that I have a feel for when to next, I'll be better prepared in the future.

I recently did this where after I had been asking this girl if she's available on the weekend for the past 4 weeks or so, I finally asked her again and if she even had any idea of when she'd be available. She said "no," and that was when I told her off and deleted her from my contacts. What a waste of time. Good thing I had been busying myself and bettering myself that whole time instead of focusing on her.

I totally understand why a man wouldn't and shouldn't get married, but I'm young and at least have some time to think about it. My goal IS to get married, but I acknowledge the issues and whatnot that go along with it. I don't need to worry about it right now obviously, but at least I'll have both sides of the marriage coin to think about later. Who knows what happens.

Yeah, for sure. That's a good way of looking at it.

I feel you. I often erase what I write to try to condense it all without losing its original meaning.

F***ing dammit, this is EXACTLY what I've known and been thinking to myself about. I feel that getting over rejection and girls in general is the one big thing that could help me out as a person. I'd be the person I want to be rather than simply wishing for something to change. So thank you good sir. You've inspired me to act upon this initiative. I hope to God I do the walking and not just the talking as I write this. I'd be a pussy and think less of myself even further. That's no way to live.

Wow, that's rough. Yeah, don't take that kind of advice from women for sure.

I completely agree with the pullup bar. It's helped me get even more ripped than what I was at from doing purely push-ups, aside from whatever manual labor I might've done from time to time. Now I've got an above-average foundation to work upon when I do weights at school.

That's what I mean't by short term, so we agree.

I wouldn't worry about this. Her bailing on you for actually expressing what you want from her is only her problem, not yours. If what you wanted was a short-term relationship with her, then sure, you could've kept it to yourself and went along with her. So for me it depends on what you were trying to go for.

For me, porn and masturbation was a harmful addiction that I needed to cut out of my life. I didn't even know of NoFap back then, but I followed my gut and here I am. Mostly in control of my dick and don't think of porn and masturbation all the time. Huge difference for me.

I agree with going out more. I've seen personal improvement for myself, and it's pretty fun!

I can relate to the part about being invisible by standing around during conversations. I've been trying to improve upon this by joining in on the sort of conversations that I'd previously just listen to.

I apply this naturally because I'm a busy guy. I'd totally text her because I'd make some time, but from my experience as both the aggregator and receiver of too many texts (on separate occasions), I've realized that less texts is better as a personal truth. I'll see how this goes for a girl whom I recently met and won't see for another two weeks. We really don't know anything about each other, so I'm counting on the the element of mystery to make our first date that much better.

Hmmm, yeah. I was there last year, and it wasn't a good time for myself. I've grown up from that, but I still have oneitis tendencies. I'd say in a positive manner though, because I want to remain loyal, but I do keep everything I know at the back of my mind. I need to keep my frame and composure as someone who's dependable and not get taken advantage of at the same time. I'm relatively inexperienced, but I've been good at it lately and will keep improving.

If this is true, alongside the fact that you're 14, then I'm mighty impressed.

This is definitely one area where I need improvement. In part of building and maintaining my frame, I'm lacking in this area at times. I've gotten better from before, but I still need to lock it down to when I mean it.

I strongly agree. Facing your fears, like approaching women, is only beneficial because you grow from each experience. Facing your fears with a successful outcome gives off a sort of "high" in which you feel amazing, so you definitely get a reward from learning and persevering.

I suppose I should comment on the NoFap part. Yes, it's an extreme act of self control, but it eventually becomes part of you and you become the master of your dick --- to an extent. As for my hormones possibly exploding violently, I don't think that happens to me personally. In fact, I'm less horny than my friend who isn't on NoFap. Otherwise, I always forget I'm on NoFap and just live my life as it is. I'm not superman as a result of it, but at least I'm not hindered by an addiction to that do…

If anything, I think it goes along with the Red Pill because of the DGAF mentality. And if it's working for you, then just as with approaching a girl, DGAF what others think of it. Obviously it's working for you in a real way than just being something you read online, so capitalize on it.

I disagree with you saying we're all perfect the way we are. What I think back on of my first rejection is that it gave me the opportunity to realize that the weak link in ANY relationship I would have is ME. I realized how big of an autistic doofus I was, and so now I'm trying to better myself and be normal. And would'ya know it, I managed to pick up a girl before the end of that school year. But I'm sure you knew that when you wrote that. Just wanted to put my 2 cents in. However, I agree with…
