That's not even a response...

The black dude in the denim jacket literally argued against that. He talks about how sexual performance and things like dancing a certain way or expressing feelings are negative consequences of men adhering to gender roles. The asian dude in the top right talked about how dating expectations have negative financial consequences that cost him more than 150 dollars per date. The guy in the pink shirt talked about how expectations of masculinity coupled with adolescent angst caused him to behave vi…

Is there a study showing us that white people are graded more harshly than their racial counterparts? If anything it is asians that typically receive the hard end of the deal.

Yea but that's because men, for the most part, prefer having women who are shorter than them due to aesthetics.

Well it is a reaction to the historically dominant trends. Oversaturation now is meant to balance out the decades of previous trends that existed. Also you are viewing this as a binary. Simply focusing on this body type now does not mean that all other body types are inappropriate or negative.

The phrase itself is fine. The problem is a lack of discussions surrounding the counterpart: toxic femininity. From a linguistic perspective: nothing suggests that the term automatically means men are responsible for creating the phenomenon.

That's not a problem with the term itself but more a problem with underlying attributions of who is responsible for said phenomenon.

But how is that editing out a "pro masculine" sentiment. What you say in the comment that you linked and what is being discussed here are two different arguments. One argument is a conflation of pragmatic standards with idealistic ones while the other argument is a criticism of straight up censorship.

Well the whole premise of the video is that there is a crisis of masculinity. If you study more about modern developmental and social psychology, this is 100 percent the case. And plus isnt the whole point of this sub itself to discuss contexts where men are subjugated or unfairly having their problems ignored? Women are experiencing a little bit of that power men have had for centuries. Wtf? So two things. Objectively, in a historical sense, men did have more rights than women all the way up un…

Can you be more specific about what topics they should have engaged?

What constitutes a pro-Male statement?

How so? Most of the arguments were about letting men do what they want without being placed into archaic categories. How is that feminine?

They had a very diverse set of identities to interview. Urge you to check it out. Moderator was very good too.

Did you actually watch the video? Because nothing in the video indicates that AT ALL. Moderator was very good and they literally address a lot of what this sub talks about.

You realize that there are strains of the left that oppose leftism right? Such as neoliberalism? Any dichotomous division of left and right lacks nuance

Men who hit the gym tend to be more RP/right wing (not anecdotal there's been studies on this). Now of course I'm not saying that modern right wing parties don't have their own issues on men's rights, but feminism, anti-mrm, and anti-male ideologies are all extremely heavily tied to left wing narratives. That's a very poor correlation. I think going to the gym should not be a political issue. How about everyone attends the gym and picks their political ideology INDEPENDENT of what women think? T…

How is this at all responsive to what I said? Typical attacks without trying to respond to the question at hand. I asked you to distinguish the two labels but you clearly arent interested in good faith discussion.

Very deceitful science. A proper scientist would look at the comparative benefits of both rather than making unilateral arguments for aerobic versus resistance training. "The AT and AT/RT groups reduced total body mass and fat mass more than RT (P < 0.05), but they were not different from each other. RT and AT/RT increased lean body mass more than AT (P < 0.05). While requiring double the time commitment, a program of combined AT and RT did not result in significantly more fat mass or body mass …

What's ur definition of a gym bro? A distinction needs to be made between gym rats and gym bros. Gym bros are in it for true self improvement, do not judge others and genuinely look out for others in need (spotting or training advice). Gym rats actively look down on others who do not frequent the gym as much as they do, are in it for the aesthetics of gains rather than improvement of the self, and judge the physique of others.

1) Therapy doesn't work for men, Biggest nonsense I have heard. Why are the gym and therapy sessions mutually exclusive. Moderate exercise increases levels of BDNF and cortisol but simply increasing levels of neurotransmitters doesn't improve your framework for cognition. Gym improves neurobiology but therapy is still absolutely necessary to improve the dialectical basis of how you think. Stop making the gym and therapy mutually exclusive to make a non existent point. Just because some dumb fuck…
