But more men than women etc doesn't equate to an 80/20 split, let's be real. where do you think Incels come from? I think it's young guys with minimal or no social skills who manage to talk a little to other guys but don't have the confidence to talk to girls/women at all, who see their peers have relationships and friendships with girls/women but don't know how to do that themselves, who develop the mindset that women are a different species than men, and that only a certain type of man can 'ge…

Nonsense. If men outside the top 20 percent had limited opportunities there would be very few heterosexual couples in the world. But, there are lots. You're worried about something that isn't even happening. The truth is people who don't want to couple up don't have to, those who want to couple up but not marry don't have to, and those who want to marry can. There's no major problem.

killAllMen #believeAllWomen I have to say I'm kinda shocked to see you use these hash tags. I should probably report you for misandry. Gross. This conversation is definitely over.

While I fully agree with you that it's wrong to say that a woman forcing a man to have sex is not rape, it clearly is, but if you refer above, this was not my question. The guy above stated that feminism says that men don't count as human. This isn't it. Unless, for example, you would also claim that when marital rape was legal, that was men saying that women don't count as human?
/r/MensRights27/08/22 12:41 AM

Wow, you've got nothing to say about what I just wrote except to somehow blame feminists, that's sad. What do you think about what I wrote? If you honestly have nothing to say, then let's leave it here, there's no point in continuing this conversation.

I'm not trolling. I'm interested in this topic, and I care about men, as much as I care about women. I hate the idea of young men being indoctrinated, because it won't help them, just derail their lives. I mean, have you read the posts and comments on this sub of older men who have had their relationships and sexual encounters and marriages, but are bitter that a woman left them or whatever, and they are trying to convince young guys to not even bother, to not live a life, to avoid women complet…

I dunno, I've no idea who changed the legal definition of rape, or when, pretty sure that didn't happen where I live. If it happened where you live, does part of the legal definition of rape include the words "men don't count as human"?
/r/MensRights27/08/22 12:18 AM

You hate men This is not true just because you say it is. I would be willing to explain if YOU ask politely 😊

I feel scared every time I hear about toxic workplace Don't be. Some workplaces are toxic but most aren't. If you're in a toxic one, you can always move on. I've been working for 25 years, and even now I work with a mixture of people, some of whom are in their early 20's, everything is fine. Feminism did liberate women and allow women to have their own career if they so wish, that doesn't make women think they are powerful and mighty, just that they are as important and valuable to society as me…

You mean he tried to find some evidence and couldn't
/r/MensRights26/08/22 11:57 PM

Oh please. The guy who regularly calls people on this sub nazi's for no apparent reason, who recently started saying that feminism is a tradcon movement and refused to even say where he developed such a ridiculous opinion, is annoyed with me? Oooh, I'm so upset by that /s
/r/MensRights26/08/22 11:53 PM
3

Well, considering the person, David Byron, who stated it has still not produced an example as evidence, yet there are many like you who have jumped in to tell me I'm wrong, I would suggest he is too unaware to be making statements like that.
/r/MensRights26/08/22 11:48 PM

Good, I'm glad it did, aren't you? Now, only the people who want life long monogamy have to have it, those that don't, well they don't have to. That's a good thing right?
/r/MensRights26/08/22 11:46 PM

you are being quite ignorant about the struggles we face The struggles who face exactly? Men, or MRA's, or pick-me's? Sorry, I've lost track throughout this thread. If you mean men, no I am not ignorant of the struggles men face. and just plain disrespectful I make a point of being respectful to people I interact with. Fearless file above has been disrespectful to me numerous times, including in this thread where she called me "bitch". Again, why are you defending her?
/r/MensRights26/08/22 11:34 PM
2

You’re getting angry. No I'm not. You saying it doesn't make it true, I'm just having discussions here. Please report sexism if you see it. I do. Do you?
/r/MensRights26/08/22 11:25 PM
3

You did. In the “pick me” comment No, that was directed at the person above, fearless file (we have a history of her aggressively attacking me and calling me awful things), not at anyone else on this sub. The "evidence" you're looking for is in my post history and hers. Also, you proclaimed that she called people “brain dead”. Yes, she did, including me. She also called someone "lobotomised". And she called me "bitch" in this very thread. Why are you defending her?
/r/MensRights26/08/22 11:23 PM

"All women"? Really? So you obviously have no problem with feminists saying "all men" either? Surprising, most people on this sub have an issue with that.

That's funny. Nice of you to defend your buddy David Byron. He still has not come back with the example he promised. He's probably googling like mad trying to find something..

Saying that we don’t care or respect women for one Um, I didn't say that. We do respect people here, but not the kind that do what you’re doing Do you respect people like that one above who you're defending for some reason who called me a bitch and regularly calls people braindead? Accusations without evidence is something that irks me a very bad way, so I would advise presenting some before I report you. I didn't accuse anyone of anything without evidence, so not sure what you would be reportin…

Who's getting angry? Anyway, I agree that something like this won't matter later in life, but I do think that there are a lot of people on this sub who will look back in the future and die of embarrassment at the horrendously stupid things they said here, especially the anti-women stuff.
/r/MensRights26/08/22 11:01 PM

Oh many men here respect us I didn't say a thing to you, why did you take my comment personally? Is it because you're a pick me too? You feminazi subs I think you're confused. I'm not a feminazi sub, or part of one, so I don't even know what you mean by this. try to convince people that mra men are all sexist lgbt phobic people I've never tried to convince anyone that mra men are all sexist lgbt phobic people, you can go through my entire post history and you won't find one instance of me trying…

She did not "stand up to me", she literally just called me bitch. Do you respect her for calling people on this sub "braindead"?, as she has done that regularly here. What do you mean by "curb the misandry"? What comment have I made that you think is misandrist?

Calling a nice innocent woman an insulting word is bad Why exactly does a woman have to be "innocent" to avoid being called an insulting word? Are you joking with this shit? what does that compare to a man having to pay child support for a kid that's not his I never compared those things. Are you sure you're following this conversation properly? I'm sure in TwoX sub or Feminism sub a topic about a female rape victim in Iraq being forced to bear the child would get lots of "men are evil and need …

That's bullshit. Sorry but it is. I will never argue with emotions that is a female trait Arguing with emotions is NOT a female trait, it's a human trait, and if you hang around this sub for a few days you will see lots of men arguing with emotions too.
/r/MensRights26/08/22 10:41 PM

emotionalism has never worked for men Not sure "emotionalism" is a word. But I think I get what you mean. You clearly haven't spent much time on this sub if you think there are not regular emotional arguments by men here.

Wow, you replied so quickly the first time, I was sure this time that it was taking so long because you were going to come up with a super strong example of feminism saying it. I guess you tried and couldn't find one, so instead you're back with another condescending English lesson. Oh well, nice try buddy, better luck next time!

So? Downvotes are not really important are they? I make a lot of good points, I make many reasonable and logical comments. Sometimes I'm wrong of course, but I learn a lot here, and most importantly I often provide an alternative point of view to the woman hating people here, which could help young men not become too indoctrinated into blaming women for everything wrong in their lives. You're not the first person to tell me to get off this sub, and you probably won't be the last, but I follow th…

This is hilarious. You actually linked an article from a satire writer on the "thought catalog" blog, and thought I am so stupid I would believe that? Come on! This sub is men's rights, not men's locker room. Stop being derogatory towards women if you want to be taken seriously.
/r/MensRights26/08/22 09:54 PM

Stop being a pick me. These guys have no more respect for you than they do any other women. Don't fool yourself.
/r/MensRights26/08/22 09:44 PM

Well for a start you call them "bitches", and you're doing that on the men's rights sub yet you don't call yourself an mra, or even know what that means. Why exactly are you here?
/r/MensRights26/08/22 09:43 PM

You don't know what an mra is? So you're not one? You're just here because you hate women eh?
/r/MensRights26/08/22 09:36 PM

No thanks, I'm still waiting for David Byron to come back with the example he promised!
/r/MensRights26/08/22 09:34 PM

Well I'm pretty sure you've never been to Ireland based on that comment
/r/MensRights26/08/22 09:27 PM

No, you're hurt by you saying that, you and other mra's
/r/MensRights26/08/22 09:23 PM
-10

It's shocking that you have to ask that question. This post is literally a guy complaining about something that his female co-worker said. As if that has anything to do with men's rights. I mean, women, just like men, can say what they want, right? Whether we like it or not right? You are backing him up by calling women "bitches". Do you think men's rights are improved somehow by calling women that?
/r/MensRights26/08/22 09:18 PM
-16

Calling women "bitches" is not a good look for men's rights.
/r/MensRights26/08/22 09:12 PM

"American feminism" is not really different from feminism in other western countries. I think the main problem in America is that there are too many non feminists and tradcons. Basically, feminism is not as accepted as it is in western european countries. America would probably be in better shape if it became more feminist than it currently is.
/r/MensRights26/08/22 09:02 PM
-16

You saying "feminists justifying why a woman forcing a man to have sex is not rape", is in no way an example of feminism saying this thing. This is something you are saying. Do you have any example of feminism saying this? I'm still willing to wait. The question about my English skill was completely unnecessary.
/r/MensRights26/08/22 08:51 PM
-10

I doubt you'd fit in here tbh. We are generally a very polite population. Anyone who says stuff like your 3rd sentence above just wouldn't be popular. You wouldn't like that we're a feminist country either, much better than where you live.
/r/MensRights26/08/22 08:40 PM
-1

Fair enough. Do you trust men you don't know?
/r/MensRights26/08/22 08:36 PM

Please, show me an example of feminism saying "men don't count as human". I'll wait.
/r/MensRights26/08/22 08:26 PM

in that regard, not being able to meet women outside of such events, getting fake numbers or handling rejection, things are still pretty much the same But, in the past, even "unattractive" people found partners, so if things are pretty much the same then you don't have to be super attractive to get a partner. Yeah, your comment above was hyperbole.
/r/MensRights26/08/22 08:24 PM
-65

That's what feminism says about men today No, it isn't. Stop making up lies please. It's really hard to have conversations on this sub when people are just making up crazy outrageous lies.
/r/MensRights26/08/22 08:02 PM
-1

This is obvious hyperbole, OP should ignore.
/r/MensRights26/08/22 07:54 PM
1

Your analogy only works if you believe men get to "own" women.
/r/MensRights26/08/22 07:04 AM
-8

Nobody is demanding that women be virgins, it's just a common preference Sure, but if you have this preference you are going to find it hard to meet any woman to be with (in 2022 in western countries). If you are happy to die a virgin yourself because you refuse to be with a non-virgin woman, that's your choice
/r/MensRights25/08/22 10:01 PM

"imprinted by sex" 😂
/r/MensRights25/08/22 09:47 PM

Ok sorry I can't continue conversing with you. You seem to not understand what 'evolution' is, what 'biology' is, and what 'evolutionary biology' is. You really shouldn't be trying to sound knowledgeable about things you don't understand, it makes you look stupid.
/r/MensRights25/08/22 09:39 PM
0

Obviously untrue since many many men are with women who have had sex with others before him, and many many women are with men who's dicks have been inside other "holes". You sound like an asshole, but also dumb because I don't think you even know what "no one" means!
/r/MensRights25/08/22 09:33 PM
-19

I think you're misunderstanding. Many modern women understand they can do what they want in life, something men could do for a long time. And that includes that they can have more than one sexual partner in their life, and guess what? They can still find a boyfriend/husband because he has also had more than one sexual partner. Misogynistic men, like OP here, are having a realisation that their demands that women be virgins are ignored. So, like if you have a preference for "virgin" women, you do…
/r/MensRights25/08/22 09:21 PM
-7

Evolutionary biology? Do you hear yourself? So, according to you, a woman who has had more than one sexual partner has difficulty "pair bonding", yet a man with many sexual partners has no such difficulty. Is that it? Do you have any reliable sources?
/r/MensRights25/08/22 09:10 PM
-3

Oh god, if you think sex amounts to plugging in a phone charger, one can confidently assume you have never and will never pleasure a woman.
/r/MensRights25/08/22 08:59 PM
-10

"Pair bond" haha please tell me people are not still saying this shit unironically.
/r/MensRights25/08/22 08:50 PM
-11

women absolutely are winding up single in their 30s in greater numbers. Are they winding up single or are they choosing to be single? I mean, anytime anyone suggests that more men are single now, loads of people on this sub insist that those men are going mgtow and deliberately choosing not to have relationships. There's no reason it would be different for women in this day and age.
/r/MensRights25/08/22 08:24 PM
1

So nothing to back up what you wrote then?
/r/MensRights25/08/22 01:07 PM

I have had luck with taller women because they are usually not as attractive and not as picky That's a bold claim, got anything to back it up? others get 10 women, you will get one, and lose it very quickly "it"? Why are you calling a human being "it"?
/r/MensRights25/08/22 12:20 PM
-18

"men" and "females" in the same sentence- great advertisement of your misogyny!
/r/MensRights24/08/22 09:31 PM

I never said anyone deserves something bad to happen to them. How rude of you.
/r/MensRights24/08/22 09:09 PM

maybe Irish women don't sexually harass men on a constant basis They certainly don't. Are you saying that girls and women in your country are "constantly" sexually harassing men? Or is that just hyperbole on your part? I myself was sexually harassed by multiple girls and grown women when I was a teenager and one forcibly took my virginity when I was 16, telling me I "look old enough" and was "doing me a favour". I'm really sorry to hear that this happened to you. Nobody should have to go through…
/r/MensRights24/08/22 08:28 PM

Feminists don't speak on behalf of all "females" of the human species.
/r/MensRights24/08/22 08:00 PM
-4

Well since OP hasn't proved they do it in the first place, you can't know that their denial will be lies. Just because OP and you have this opinion, doesn't make it true. I'd like more of an explanation of what OP even means by this?
/r/MensRights24/08/22 07:59 PM

I don't have to do what you tell me, I'm going to stay right here:)
/r/MensRights24/08/22 08:16 AM

Wow, solid argument bro
/r/MensRights24/08/22 08:12 AM

. If the woman works, and even outearn her husbad, how do you explain the fact that she often gets half of his possessions when a divorce happens? I don't have to explain this because I never claimed it, you're claiming it so why don't you explain it. It's funny to me that if both are working you think it's still only the man who has possessions. Marital assets being split in half does not automatically mean the woman is getting half the man's stuff. Think about it, he is also getting half her s…

So you made a statement (an objectively untrue one), which you can't back up. Pretty typical for you tbh.
/r/MensRights23/08/22 10:00 PM

You're the clueless one. You're the one who jumped in to defend the troll who said "life as a man is being constantly responsible for women's crimes ", but you're unable to name even one crime that a woman committed that you as a man have been held responsible for. Maybe you need to see a doctor. Grow up.
/r/MensRights23/08/22 09:44 PM

About what?
/r/MensRights23/08/22 09:40 PM

Yup. You don't obviously.

/r/MensRights23/08/22 09:34 PM

Oh, go and fuck yourself No thanks She cheats Not a crime. She wants to split up Not a crime. Did you understand the comment you replied to?
/r/MensRights23/08/22 09:32 PM
-41

Being a man is to have to constantly be responsible for women's crimes Oh really? So which women's crimes have you been responsible for constantly throughout your life as a man?
/r/MensRights23/08/22 09:16 PM
1

Except they don't sacrifice the same nowadays. The majority of men have a wife who's working and contributing towards the bills (in many cases the wife is outearning the husband). So he doesn't have the pressure of being the sole provider like in the past.
/r/MensRights23/08/22 07:53 PM
-2

Onlyfans is pornographic material But adding someone as a friend is not, which is what OP is complaining about Women have made it clear that unwanted dick pics are a form of sexual harassment. Therefore unsolicited onlyfans links and the pressure/demands to subscribe is also sexual harassment. No, because they are not the same thing at all. Are these people who added OP as a friend on social media sending him unsolicited pics of their aroused vagina? No they're not.
/r/MensRights23/08/22 12:58 AM
-15

It is not the same as a dick pic. It is not sexual harassment. Please, learn the meaning of the terms you're using.
/r/MensRights23/08/22 12:46 AM
-17

I don't have any friends there. Also, OP is not experiencing sexual harassment, so NO, I will not tell anyone to ignore sexual harassment. I will however, tell them to not accept friend requests from people they don't know, even if those people are "hot"
/r/MensRights23/08/22 12:42 AM
3

Just making sure you're consistent in your behaviour... plenty of women would not be. Also plenty of men would not be. If humans were all perfect, and consistent in every way, we would be robots not animals. I still don't know what point you're attempting to make with this conversation, it seems like you don't have one.
/r/MensRights23/08/22 12:26 AM
-2

I can't stand hyperbole like this. For example 6'4". Do you really, I mean really, think all or even most women, are ready to leave their 5'10" partner that they love because they see an eligible 6'4" guy? If you think this, then I have to ask, based on what evidence?
/r/MensRights23/08/22 12:23 AM
1

If a woman asked my opinion about this, I would tell her to ignore them yes. What point are you trying to make?
/r/MensRights23/08/22 12:20 AM
-9

I'm a woman who gets creepy dm's. I ignore them.
/r/MensRights23/08/22 12:16 AM
-11

But you can just ignore strangers who message you. I don't get what the complaint is here
/r/MensRights23/08/22 12:13 AM
1

You won't be for long. If you take your head out of your ass for 5 minutes you might see it. For your own sake, please do.
/r/MensRights22/08/22 11:53 PM
2

You're making a lot of unnecessary assumptions here. Also, I don't believe many women would go through with a pregnancy in order for her parents to "take responsibility", and if they would, surely it could also be the man's parents who do that? Right?
/r/MensRights22/08/22 11:47 PM
2

Why would the woman's parents have anything to do with this?
/r/MensRights22/08/22 11:27 PM
-2

Sure, but sometimes things are not exceptions at all, and are actually the rule/norm, even if you wish they were exceptions to prove your "rule". OP's examples are so common, we all know people in these type of situations, and most people marry or settle down with someone from their own socioeconomic group, so it's obvious that these situations aren't exceptions to anything
/r/MensRights22/08/22 10:24 PM
-36

Huh? You know you don't have to accept friend requests right?
/r/MensRights22/08/22 10:18 PM
-6

You didn't really answer what I asked though.
/r/MensRights22/08/22 10:00 PM
-10

But you sound like you're advocating that that was a good deal for everyone involved, and that men are being short changed nowadays by not getting to automatically make the call on decisions because they are men?
/r/MensRights22/08/22 09:27 PM
-11

lets you make the final call on decisions Why exactly do you believe that in a marriage a woman should automatically "let" the man make the final call on decisions? Why do you think the man deserves to make the final call just because he has a penis? This just sounds like tradcon bs.
/r/MensRights22/08/22 09:23 PM

I mean yeah, I dislike reading misogyny on this sub for example, I've said so many times. But,misogyny happens in real life too, and I hate it just as much there. I just have a problem with people saying absolute nonsense like "men are treated like monsters", when they clearly aren't.
/r/MensRights21/08/22 01:43 AM
0

Surely you agree a little bit though? I mean, have you ever seen men being treated as "monsters" until they prove they're not, in real life? Seriously?
/r/MensRights21/08/22 01:24 AM
0

Ok, so you're agreeing that this is not something that happens in real life, it's just on twitter (which no sane person takes seriously). Cool. Obviously men are not treated like "monsters" unless they prove otherwise in real life, and I mean, real life is what matters right?
/r/MensRights21/08/22 01:10 AM

I see you edited your above comment without mentioning it (reddit etiquette- tells me you have no manners) to add that women like me used to be referred to as 'old maids'. Yes, and also 'spinsters'. That was in the time when women were expected to get married as their "career", and to give up their real career when they got married, which meant that a woman could essentially not have a career. Nowadays, thanks to feminism, women like me can have a career, have sexual relations etc, without havin…

Are you saying the person above who suggested that women would experience "stress at processing the cock traffic" end up lonely in their later life, didn't have a bad intent with that comment?

Yeah it is good for me, and for the other women I know who chose not to have children. Imagine if I was born 150 years ago, how different my life would be. I would have had to marry young to get out of my father's house so he wouldn't have to provide for me anymore. If I married the wrong guy, tough shit, I would have had to stay with him regardless. Thanks to feminism I can live how I want!

What do you mean? Women didn't "start" working. Women always worked, whether it was for no pay, or for less pay than the men received for the same job. Homes "started to break" once women weren't forced to stay married even if their husband was abusive. What exactly are you advocating for here?

The feminist lie is; you can have it all, get a career, don't have kids until you're in your 30s or 40s, you don't need a man. 40 to 80 is a long time to be lonely and mark my words, there's going to be some big regrets from childless, single, middle aged women. Sorry to burst your bubble but there are no big regrets from middle aged women who chose not to have children. I know this as a 45 year old woman with no children and many 1st and 2nd cousins, and friends with no children. You're assumin…

Yeah, that comment was in response to the person I replied to above who was claiming something and then agreed that it wasn't true but just something people say online. What I meant was that online is not the real world, and I stand by the belief that online stuff doesn't really matter in the real world. The problem is that some young people may unfortunately spend more time online than in the real world and may internalise some nonsense they read on reddit, including nonsense on this sub, and c…

So, I think that what goes on online is absolutely not the same as real life. Obviously. And people of my generation are well aware of that, and people who live a regular life are aware of that. However, living almost your whole life online while having minimal interaction with people in the real world is something that's a possibility for younger generations now. The fact that it's a possibility doesn't mean that most people would choose it as it's not a fulfilling life in any way. But, imagine…

I'm not sure I totally agree that morals don't need to be taught. Do you think that each child grows into an adult with morals that aren't influenced by what they learned growing up? In any case, do you believe that if there was a widespread education/awareness campaign in the US, spanning for example the next ten years, showing the general population that circumcision of babies is not necessary, not more healthy or hygienic and in fact dangerous and that's it's not practiced in general in other…

How do you not find it sexist that male circumcision is encouraged by doctors, but female circumcision was banned years ago. Because it's not based on sexism against men. There is a huge religious aspect to it. Good luck to any group, including feminism, including mra's, trying to get circumcision banned when the US has such large Jewish and Muslim communities who would claim religious persecution. However, in the US, circumcision is a general cultural thing that is also practiced by secular peo…

It's not that people don't allow men to have standards Ok, glad you agree, that's that cleared up. if it is voiced then men are heavily critisized for having them but women are praised for it and seen as "not settling" Not really. What is sexist about this, is that female circumcision has been banned in the vast majority of countries, and the only few countries male circumcision is banned in Feminism seems to never mention circumcision, and yet all the time we see documentaries about female circumcision. Why is that? Based on these two comments, I'm very surprised you don't know why is that? There's an obvious reason western countries such as the US are unable to ban circumcision, and it has nothing to do with feminism

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-61263393 As you can see, there is no law against "looking at a woman", nor is there any law against "staring at a woman" or even "staring at a person". Please, by all means, show me a comment I made under this post that in any way sounds like hatred of men. Ah now we're getting to the core of why you have such a bad attitude towards women. You were treated badly by your wife, so you're now treating women badly to get revenge. The problem is, none of the women that you say you treat "as whores" and "ghost" are your ex wife, they don't necessarily deserve this treatment. Tbh you probably need a lot of therapy, your view of women is unhealthy

fair enough, and yes I shouldn't be so general You could and should have just left it there, but no, you had to go on and justify your hate, because it's just "your experience". No. You're not understanding what a scale means. Women score higher than men on the scale. It doesn't mean that men are not neurotic while women are. I think you have a misunderstanding of some of the terms you're using. There's really no such thing as female nature or male nature, there's just human nature as we are all the same species. Yes, it has been observed that women score higher for neuroticism than men, but this does not mean that all women are neurotic or that no men are neurotic. It's absolutely not your business. You personally can choose who you have children with (obviously if she also agrees to it). Other men can choose who they have children with. Women are fertile usually until their late 40's at least. You don't get to decide that women shouldn't be having children at a particular age, even if there are more risks associated with it. Time to grow up a little. I saw an interesting clip that said society absolves women of responsibility. What clip? Who made it? What makes you believe it so un…

Women define a decent man by one who caters to their needs (a simp) No, they don't. You have clearly spent too much time online and have no idea about people in real life. Be grateful simps exist. These are the males who let women do no wrong. These males pay for womens nudes. These males live their lives helping women instead of paying attention to their own life. Women (in general, because everyone is different), don't need or want men like this. Again, you've spent too much time online, you'r…

Being a decent man is catering to womens needs That's your first problem right there. How can you possibly be a decent man when you don't even understand what it means. If women dont like my lifestyle, their problem. I doubt there's any women who care in the least about you or your lifestyle. Just don't fool yourself into thinking they will regret that and come begging for your attention. They won't. Im never talking to a single mother. Your choice. As long as you know you're an asshole. They definitely can. Although it's not too late for you to develop some empathy and respect for others, and then maybe you could have the love of a good woman, it's your choice really how you want to live

That's a relief to hear. Because I guarantee you that every single woman in this world, including feminist single mothers, is better off without the likes of you (and your little buddy here telling you they will "flock" to you, lol!)

Have you got any proof at all that "men were ALWAYS held accountable for lying"? Or that "women lying are justified and rewarded"? Obviously you don't because those are ludicrous claims to make, that a five year old would know are not true. Do you personally justify and reward women for lying? If so why? And do you always hold men accountable for lying? Doubtful.
/r/MensRights06/08/22 04:02 PM

Ooh you've got amazing powers of deduction lol. It's a good thing nobody is basing any public policies on your "observations and deductions". You have no proof that women are "shitty drivers" other than that you choose to believe so. It's been proven that women are safer drivers, and safety is objectively the most important factor when it comes to the general population driving. Like, if the objective is to get from A to B safely, women are better at that. Simple fact.

Ah I think I misunderstood you. I thought you were questioning the relevance of my comment, but I realise now you were probably questioning the relevance of OP's post. If so, I agree with you.
/r/MensRights06/08/22 12:12 PM

Respectfully, are you sure you're not the problem here? I also drive an incredible amount, and I don't often have people almost hitting me. Just something to think about.
/r/MensRights06/08/22 07:23 AM

People shouldn't be down voting this. It's a perfectly reasonable and truthful contribution to the conversation. Thanks, I agree. That said, I don't understand why this would be posted in a men's rights subreddit. It has no relevance here The relevance is that OP claims that men are victims when it comes to road traffic accidents, that this is something discriminatory being done to men. In fact, many men are driving dangerously in general and that's why so many are dying on the roads.
/r/MensRights06/08/22 07:18 AM
0

No. What I wrote above are statistics compiled by the road safety authority, not generalisations. Saying "women are shitty drivers" is subjective, it's a generalisation you are making based on your disdain for women and it's not based on any facts or statistics.

I didn't say it was all negative. I think you've lost sight a little bit of what this post is about. OP pointed out that the vast majority of victims of traffic accidents are men, as if to say that this is some type of discrimination against men, or something that's being done to men. In fact, men drive more dangerously and that's why. You can argue that there are other benefits to driving dangerously for men, that women are missing out on, sure, but this only applies to the men who don't die du…

Wait, so you started by saying that ability and willingness to take reasonable levels of risk is a good thing, now you're saying that women have generally "unreasonable" levels fear and caution? Do you mean about driving in particular or in general? And either way, do you have stats on that? I mean, we already have stats from the male side. I'm just not sure that a little fear or caution is a bad thing, especially when it comes to driving, which can be a dangerous activity even for people with a…

Sure, I don't disagree with that statement at all. Unfortunately a lot of men are taking an UNreasonable level of risk when it comes to driving, which is a problem because it results in too many premature deaths, wouldn't you agree? I mean, speeding is not necessary, for example. Why do so many men speed compared to women? Are they taking a reasonable level of risk? Obviously not.

Society needs to shame women who hit men as much as they shame and attack men who hit women. The problem is society doesn't often shame and attack men who hit women. I know this because I've had two instances of being punched straight in the face by a random guy (friend of a friend etc, not someone I know). This is not in any way discrimination against men. Men are just more dangerous drivers than women, it's been proven again and again. A few months ago the road safety authority in my country ran a series of ads asking men to take a look at their driving habits and aim to change them. They had some shocking statistics to share (2016 to 2020), such as: 9 out of 10 driver fatalities, who were speeding, were men 9 out of 10 driver fatalities, who were not wearing a seatbelt, were men 87% of drivers a…

I don't know what you mean. Many many people are not in pump and dump relationships, loads are in long term serious relationships even if they don't get married. You're hardly advocating for society to go back to the situation where women have basically no choice but to submit to a man? Are you?
/r/MensRights04/08/22 10:28 PM
-11

You clearly didn't read the article OP posted, as you couldn't possibly have read it and taken all this from it (hint: because it wasn't there). The article actually quite plainly lays out the reasons why fewer people are getting married or having kids, none of them are what you listed above

Humanity has had a good run. Now it's time for someone else to become the dominant species Oh please, the human population is still growing, it hit 7 billion about 10 or so years ago and is heading towards 8 billion. Just because the USA population is not at replacement levels, doesn't in any way mean that the human population is dying out. Lmao

No one wants to suggest women submit to men, that's an unforgivable sin. Of course, I mean that was tried before and many women had to basically be forced to submit to a man by the removal of any viable alternatives. Turned out many women didn't like that and thus feminism was born. Suggesting it now wouldn't just be a sin, it would show that you don't respect women.

Wow, you think the amount of money allocated to support a child should be relative to the morality of the custodial parent? My apologies, I used the wrong terminology. When I wrote "true democracy", I actually meant "full democracy". It had been a while since I had read the terms and forgot the correct word. There's no such thing as a true democracy. North Korea is an authoritarian regime, not a democracy. Just because the word democratic is in the name doesn't make it a democracy. North Korea, being an authoritarian regime, can put whatever name they want on their country, that doesn't make it so. By the way, the US…

Yes, you should marry a simple peasant girl, then you can mould her into the woman you want her to be. She will be a submissive dolt, she will never argue with you since she won't have her own opinions on anything, and won't have the intelligence to form any. Your life will be crap, but at least your wife will know her place.

Sorry but no. Women are not taught to manipulate men. They are taught that many men think they are more important than women and so need their ego stroked in order to put up with the woman. It's alien to me as I grew up in a household with a feminist lean (the word feminism was never used, but the 'ambience' for lack of a better word was feminist) so me and my siblings were not taught this, but I know many many women from more traditional families who were.

I don't even understand this sentence. I legitimately think you've lost the plot. How does you stalking my comments help men's rights exactly. Do you ever even honestly discuss anything about men's rights?

You did not answer his question Yes I did, you don't have to like my answer, but I did give one. Are you planning on answering OP's question? Or are you just here to disagree with me?
/r/MensRights28/07/22 10:33 PM

This is a ridiculous thing to say. The OP is just talking about his own experience also, and didn't provide any statistically significant info. He asked a question and I answered. There's no need to invalidate my answer here.
/r/MensRights28/07/22 10:05 PM

How do you know that most men are not taught that? I already answered that, through my experience in life, including several romantic relationships with men.

there isn't much info in common conversation about how to treat a man, or that info isn't out there as much as "how to treat a lady" is. This might well be true, but why? Do women not need conversation about how to treat a man because it's been assimilated by them throughout their lives in so many different ways through constant messages? And maybe men have to be explicitly taught how to "treat a lady" because it isn't instilled from day one through constant messages, or the messages convey the …

Thanks for answering that. I can tell you that most men are not taught all of that, although many of them are taught some of that. I know because I'm 45 years old, have had relationships with men, and also observed many female friends and families relationships. Can I ask who taught you all of this? And if you don't know if other men are taught all of this, what is the purpose of your OP?
/r/MensRights28/07/22 09:39 PM

They are definitely being taught something. So you think they are taught nothing good. What do you think that includes, and why do you think they're being taught nothing good? Also, I'd love if you would answer my other question about what you were taught?

I didn't include sex at all in my comment, unless you're counting my comment about keeping the man from cheating or leaving? I mean, sex is a small part of that, but not the main part. It's moreso about things like not showing your man up, for example. What I mean by that is that women are taught to downplay their own achievements and big up their man's achievements so as to protect his ego. Also to let him think that something was his idea even though it was hers, to laugh at his jokes even if …

are they being told how they should treat men? Yes, girls are most certainly being taught from a young age how to treat their male partner, especially how to treat him so that he won't cheat or leave you. Obviously that doesn't mean that all women treat their men well as some people are assholes, narcissists etc. But the same is true in the reverse right? I don't get the obsession so many people on this sub have of trying to lay the blame for things on either men or women. Each person and each family probably did the best they could with what they had. We know now that the system of splitting roles into men's roles and women's roles wasn't great, as it results in, for example, men who can't even do their own laundry and women who can't change a tyre on their car etc. Surely it makes more sense nowadays for parents to teach all of their kids basic…

I don't understand the question. Firstly, we don't live in a "world full of horrible things". There are also good things and neutral things. But, of the horrible things, some are natural, not caused by humans, nobody's fault. Others are caused by people, including men and women. What am I missing here?

Tell me more about female emphaty I never mentioned "female empathy". Are you high? I won't even comment about the rest of what you wrote, as it's just a little story you made up in your head, not really related to what was in my comment. Again, sounds like you're high, and can't follow the conversation.

You're right, and why were they being raised by women? Where were the men? Why were the men not teaching their sons basic life skills? We know why of course- patriarchy. The point is, we can do better than that nowadays, and that will solve the problem OP is talking about.

There are more (mostly white women in the west) benefitting from the work that men have done. Funnily enough, I didn't say there aren't, so what are you arguing against here? In fact, there are many people everywhere who are benefitting from work done by others. That doesn't mean that feminism is a scam.

Huh? You surely don't think "women" as a group get to give men rights? It's society as a whole that decides what rights are given, or at least it should be, in the past it was the men in power who did, now we have democracy in many countries, although some are still controlled by men. And even in the democratic countries there's very often a majority of men with power.
/r/MensRights27/07/22 08:51 PM

The fact that you think these are "weak" examples shows that you are part of the problem. The fact that "you could say the same about feminists attitudes toward men dude" just shows your immaturity. No they don't literally hate men. I'm not part of that sub, but I have taken a look more than once, to see what it's all about. Their purpose is to work against the hatred of women that they see on certain subs. Perhaps if the people on this sub who say hateful things against women and those who upvote them would just stop, there would be no need for the sub in question to exist.

If mra's would stop saying and promoting hateful things against women then nobody would need to even try to stop the momentum. You made a claim, I asked for evidence, you couldn't provide it so you resorted to asking me for evidence for something subjective and frankly unrelated. That's pretty pathetic. If both people make money then why is the man always expected to pay the bill? Is this really the case though? I wonder is this an american thing? I don't troll this sub, I take part in various discussions on this sub, and really enjoy doing so. Without people like me (and there are quite a few like me luckily), this sub would become a circle jerk of misogynistic comments, people going on about hypergamy and awalt etc and the sub would get banned. It's important to keep the sub focused, to some extent, on actual issues and not just hating on women. Do you disagree with that?

feminism claims to be equality yet has been actively against equality and has done nothing to help men Mra's claim to be about equality, yet just recently were joyful about women losing rights, so definitely not for equality, and have done nothing to help women. As far as I can see, many many mra's do exactly everything they claim feminists do, but then do mental gymnastics to justify why it's ok for them, but not ok for feminists.

This is an issue that is negatively affecting men, surely the men's rights movement should be working to fix it. How many women's issues have mra's fixed? Someone put forward a bill designed to open up the draft to include women too. But that was shut down with "Don't draft our daughters!" Which sure, I can agree with.. but at the same time the people saying this seem to have no qualms about men / their sons being drafted.. This was a PERFECT chance to have the draft abolished completely but instead the focus was on how it would be 'unfair' to force women to be drafted. feminisms implicit support of stories like this are why I no longer stand up for abortion rights. There's literally nothing in the article about feminists, I believe you are just assuming that feminists implicitly support it. If I'm wrong fair enough, just please provide some evidence of feminists supporting this or something like it. The article does mention however, that the legislation was sponsored by a member of a right-leaning party, so definitely not a feminist. Also, I don't understand h…

I don't understand why you're still trying to argue, especially to defend somebody else's incorrect statement. His statement was not "half wrong", it was completely wrong. Why are you defending him exactly?
/r/MensRights19/07/22 06:01 PM
1

No, he was being a smartass, I corrected his clearly incorrect information. If people like me don't do that, then this sub will be full of nothing but hyperbole. And young guys who come here will end up believing nonsense like "the law only punishes men". I mean, what's wrong with being accurate and stating the truth. If you need to exaggerate to such a degree to get your point across, I think you don't have much of a point to begin with.
/r/MensRights19/07/22 05:50 PM

I know the standard arguments, I just don't agree with many of them. The person above stated " the law only punishes men". This is very obviously a falsehood. I said " to suggest the law punishes only men is a joke. If that were true there would be no women's prisons" You then said "women on average get half the punishment for the same crime". This doesn't back up his statement, or refute mine. 🤷‍♀️
/r/MensRights19/07/22 05:29 PM

Both women and men, in general, can be untrustworthy. True But the law punishes only men who do unethical things. Women get a free pass. Huh? No, the law punishes people who do illegal things, not unethical things. And to suggest that they law punishes only men is a joke. If that were true there would be no women's prisons. trolls like you Not a troll

I'm not sure you understand the word "history". The majority of people have no history of false allegations. I'm not saying all women are bad people and you should avoid them, I am saying it's better to be cautious around them. And a woman could say "I'm not saying all men are bad people and you should avoid them, I am saying it's better to to be cautious around them". Do you think that's ok? I mean given how many women have been victims of sexual assault, it would make a lot more sense than men…

But do you see how here in this post (and others like it) many are saying that it's ok for men to do this because they think their fear is more valid than women's? I think both sides are over exaggerating the likelihood of these things happening, and trying to avoid half the population somehow, is just not the answer- that goes for both men and women
/r/MensRights19/07/22 12:22 AM
0

I would say a lot more than half don't
/r/MensRights19/07/22 12:17 AM
1

Nonsense. He avoided "eating alone" with a woman without his wife present. That's not the same thing. But I guess it depends on your line of work. In my line of work you cannot avoid being alone with people on a regular basis, and anyone who refuses to be alone with half the population would definitely not be successful, and honestly would probably be out of a job pretty quickly
/r/MensRights19/07/22 12:17 AM
1

I do agree with you Stalker. I never said anything to the contrary. You're sounding quite aggressive there about something you imagine me to think. As I said in a comment above, I've been alone with both men and women for work reasons many times without any problems. Sure, something could happen, but it's less likely than being in a car accident for example, yet I still drive. Avoiding half the population is a ridiculous thing to do
/r/MensRights19/07/22 12:12 AM
-1

It's nowhere close to the same principle. Walking around detroit at 1am with your wallet out counting cash is not required for anyone. Getting along with your colleagues is required if you wish to be successful (and taken seriously) in your career. Anyone who deliberately treats half their colleagues differently than the other half will not get very far in the current society, you're a fool if you think so, and it makes me wonder how old you are that you don't know this?
/r/MensRights19/07/22 12:00 AM
3

You're defending that "women in particular engage in shitty, reprehensible behaviour in workplaces, up to and including absolutely lying about everything" is a specific prevalent behaviour? And you really don't see the misogyny? The comment was removed, but you're going to continue defending it anyway? Why? Do you hate women or something? There's just no way you can believe this is true if you have any experience in life
/r/MensRights18/07/22 11:56 PM
-4

No, I read it and understood it, I'm just giving a different viewpoint. This obsession with "false allegations" that seems to only exist on reddit and not in the real world is way over the top. Any person, male or female, could screw you over in ways you've never thought of. The notion that you should avoid women in the workplace is ridiculous.
/r/MensRights18/07/22 11:50 PM
-2

I don't have any desire to give a group that has a precedent of being shitty a chance to be shitty You mean women here, right? Women are a group with a precedent of being shitty? According to you? So men have a precedent of being wonderful people? All men in general? No precedent of violence or anything? Sorry but you're being delusional
/r/MensRights18/07/22 11:38 PM
-2

I don't see how. I mean I'm in my 40's and I've regularly been alone with people of the same and opposite sex, due to the nature of my job, and nothing untoward has happened. I don't know what you think is likely to happen that will make me really really agree with you. I'd rather not live my life being afraid of every little thing that could happen. If I did I would probably never leave the house in case I get hit by a bus
/r/MensRights18/07/22 11:33 PM
-41

By "them" you mean women in general? You think women in general are terrible but men in general are to be trusted? You're in for a rude awakening one day. If you're going to go down this route you should avoid being alone with anyone at all, not just women, but then you'd be a weirdo...

I'm not OP but I can answer your question. The truth is nobody really knows how it would work and there are varying opinions. A few months ago it was reported that Spain will introduce period leave but the articles didn't specify how it would work. I don't think anything has been implemented there yet. I was genuinely asking, as you repeatedly accused me of name calling but couldn't tell me one name I called anyone. I try to be as polite and respectful to people online as possible, so I don't appreciate being accused of this.

Where's the insult? Is it because I asked if English is your first language or not? I'm genuinely asking, it's not to insult you. If it isn't, I might get your lack of understanding. If it is, there's no point in continuing the discussion at all. I'm not insulting you, talk about being sensitive.
/r/MensRights16/07/22 06:10 AM

Is English not your first language? I didn't call anyone a name, I'm not sure where you're getting that from? The comment you quoted above (without the context it was written in) is not name calling. If you don't understand what name calling is, just say so.

First off, I don't have "emotional reactions", I consider everything before I comment thank you. Why are you talking about me as if I'm not here? Second, I don't call people out for having opinions I don't like. I call people out for misogyny when they say something misogynistic. However, you've raised a good point. I have often been downvoted on this sub for saying something others don't like, even when my point was valid, or I was simply stating a fact.
/r/MensRights15/07/22 11:53 PM

you can't link to that post? There's more than one, I'm talking about numerous instances, it's all there in my post history. The point I'm making is that I refuse to tolerate people who claim "There's no misogyny here, if you think there is show evidence ". I've shown evidence numerous times and got downvoted for it and had people tell me that the misogyny is actually ok if you really think about it and understand where that person is coming from. It isn't.

I haven’t seen it actually a few times but they are always downvoted and removed I guess you mean you have seen it? And that they are always downvoted and removed? The thing is, they aren't. As I referenced above, I have called out misogyny several times on this sub, almost always comments that are upvoted, and every single time my comment calling them out is downvoted, often very heavily downvoted, and many people jump in to defend the the misogynistic comment. Stalker, I disagree with you, I have seen people on this sub go full on misogynist. Not relevant to you in particular, but moreso to this whole post, I don't really understand why twoX is being referred to as a feminist sub, it's a women's sub, there is difference.

If you read through the whole thread again, you will see that I replied to the person who told the person who started the thread that he/she needs to cite evidence. I mentioned that I have done that numerous times and explained what the results were. Yes, there misogyny here, yes there is apologism for it. No, I'm not going to produce evidence again, hence my annoyance when people keep asking for evidence. I've provided evidence, it's in my post history, many people have justified the hate. What…

So you answered it time and time again but never bookmarked it? Correct. I use reddit on my mobile, I've tried bookmarking things before but wasn't able to retrieve them after, so I gave up on it. It's all there in my post history though, I'm not making it up. And, there's no claim trying to substantiate here, I'm just saying that I've substantiated claims in the past.

And clearly you didn't understand my comment! I have shown evidence again and again and had it dismissed again and again by people on this sub who clearly bask in their hatred of women so always find a way to justify the hatred as "fair" somehow, and it's clearly a pathetic attempt as the evidence I've used has generally been very clear cut, obvious misogyny. Quite often the person who made the original misogynistic comment (that others are bending over backwards to defend) actually deletes it b…

Not really as I'd have to go dig up that evidence for you? I've answered the same question time and again, just go through my profile if you want. It's just a tactic used in this sub. Someone mentions the hatred towards women that is present here (by many, not all), they are asked show evidence, they show it and everyone piles on to justify the hatred as "not really that bad", or "if you ignore the misogynistic language, what's been said is actually ok" etc etc.

how stupid modern women are This is a misogynistic comment. All women alive now are modern women, so you are suggesting that all women are stupid. Delete please. Misogyny is not welcome on this sub.

-25

Please not again with the "please show evidence " bs. I have been asked multiple times on this sub to show evidence of misogyny, since I tend to call it out (that's because I don't think hatred will get men's rights very far). Every time I've produced evidence (with multiple upvotes) people have bent over backwards to find a way to justify it or to argue that it's not actually misogyny, or (my personal favourite) to agree it's misogyny then proceed to find reasons why it's not that bad and to fi…

But it wasn't necessary for him to "point out the double standard of many 'feminist' subs banning men... " since the OP didn't ask or state anything about them. I've seen this too many times on this sub: "oh, you think we are bad? look over there, look at those subs, they are worse". It's a childish argument. OP was speaking about her experience on this sub. So, in a roundabout way you've answered my question. You (and I'm guessing many mra's judging by the responses and downvotes) believe that feminists saying this about mra's is hypocritical but mra's saying it about feminists is ok and not hypocritical at all. Some of you are so wrapped up in hatred of women that you can't even see you are exactly what you accuse feminists of being. Now, feminists might be those things too, but that doesn't make you any better.
/r/MensRights14/07/22 12:36 PM

Cool. But I don't see the need to point that out here, it's not adding anything to this conversation.
/r/MensRights14/07/22 12:29 PM

No, mra's are not taken seriously because of nonsense like what's going on in this post. Feminists and mra's say same thing about each other but somehow feminists are hypocritical for saying it while mra's are wise for saying it? Come on!
/r/MensRights14/07/22 11:10 AM
-15

And this has nothing to do with my comment above?
/r/MensRights14/07/22 10:00 AM

I have also not heard of that quote used b MRAs so your assumption is most likely based on your own beliefs I've seen it countless times, but if you need proof, go to a post in this sub from 4 hours ago called 'guess who's in "controversial subreddits" article on Wikipedia'. It was used unironically there. Pretending mra's don't say this and then claiming feminists are projecting when they say it is stupid.
/r/MensRights14/07/22 09:03 AM
-84

Can we please stop doing this i.e. pretending we believe that women are the "privileged" people in society while men are the "oppressed" ones. There are important issues affecting men, but men's rights as a movement is not taken seriously and it's because of nonsense like this. Men are not "oppressed", just stop it please.
/r/MensRights14/07/22 07:41 AM
-75

Is it projection when MRA's say it too? I've seen that exact quote time and time again in this sub, used to belittle feminism. Projection I guess. Edit: I'm being downvoted for this comment? I can only assume that many people here think it's projection when feminists say it, but perfectly reasonable when mra's say it. Lol
/r/MensRights14/07/22 07:33 AM

That is not what I'm saying and you know it. You're doing your usual of twisting my words and pretending I said something I didn't so you can be outraged at women in general. You haven't called me a nazi yet though, that's new 😂
/r/MensRights13/07/22 07:46 PM
-2

Again, as you're another one who obviously didn't read the post properly, she didn't ask him how much money he makes, she asked him what he does for a living which is a reasonable question that's asked of people all the time in all kinds of settings
/r/MensRights13/07/22 07:32 PM
2

But he did refuse. She never found out what he does for a living. And to be fair, the date was derailed as soon as he refused to answer a basic question that's asked of people on a regular basis in all types of social and professional settings, making her suspicious about why he was acting so weird
/r/MensRights13/07/22 07:21 PM

He did refuse.
/r/MensRights13/07/22 03:30 PM

You can still guess someone's average income by his/her job Sure. You can also guess a lot of other things about people based on the things they tell you. Isn't the point of dating getting to know someone to see if you're compatible? Refusing to tell someone your job is ridiculous.
/r/MensRights13/07/22 12:33 PM
-1

No, people complain in this sub all the time about the fact that more men die in workplace deaths and say that it's discrimination against men. We can't then turn around and say the gender earnings gap doesn't matter and isn't discrimination because women "choose" lower paying jobs. Men are also "choosing" more dangerous jobs. Let's be consistent here.
/r/MensRights13/07/22 12:29 PM
-6

The woman in this post didn't ask the man how much he earns.
/r/MensRights13/07/22 12:21 PM
-5

No, she didn't ask what his income was, she asked what his job was, which is a pretty standard question when getting to know someone, he got all weird and evasive. Sounds like you're finding a reason to be mad at her when there really isn't one.
/r/MensRights13/07/22 12:20 PM
-17

So a woman refused a second date with a guy who wouldn't tell her basic things about his life on their date, let's face it probably because he spends too much time in red pill spaces. This relates to men's rights how? Unless you think that men have the right to be absolute douchebags and women shouldn't be allowed to reject them for it..?
/r/MensRights13/07/22 09:26 AM
-1

Female choices are the reason not some ingrained trait of men to hold poor women down. You're correct, but if we're using that logic then we must stop complaining that men die more often in work related accidents as that's the other side of the same coin, it's male choices to work in dangerous jobs after all.
/r/MensRights13/07/22 09:20 AM
2

No my friend. I didn't redefine anything, OP has since edited his comment to that, he originally said what I've called him out on! You've arrived late and didn't see what he originally wrote.

The person I replied to above was talking about sexism against men in the judicial system. That doesn't "start with women", therefore a banner saying as such would make no sense. That doesn't stop him, or you, from making banners to draw attention to this issue, nobody is stopping you.
/r/MensRights10/07/22 12:08 AM
-32

Well no because sexism/hate doesn't start with women, so what would be the point of it? But you could still make your own banners to bring attention to the things you feel need to be changed to make life better for men

At this stage I have to question your intelligence and your ability to understand basic words (when I accused you of "wilfully misunderstanding" people, maybe I was wrong, maybe you genuinely don't understand?). Men, women, non binary etc, whether in a heterosexual, homosexual or other relationship, want things from their partner, and offer things to their partner. I would think that it's up to each couple to decide if they are both getting their wants met, and if they are providing for their partner's wants. And if not, they are welcome to move on from that relationship, right? And if someone wa…

What? Your answer is all over the place here. I asked you what are the "benefits of men" (something you mentioned) and your reply is: This post is about how the woman wants to have a high quality man without being a high quality woman No it isn't. This post is about how the woman thinks men shouldn't be pissed off when women don't want them if they are looking for a second mother who they can also bang. Funnily enough, when I was dating, so many men brought so little to the table it's embarrassing, take take take with barely any giving, and I'm serious about this, not making it up to make a point. So, between us, have we shown that women are terrible, or men are terrible, or just that some people are terrible regardless of gender?

Dude, you're not seriously suggesting that a man who is fully functioning , competent, can take care of himself and doesn't require a second mother is a "unicorn"? How badly do you think of men? Edited to add: Shocking to be downvoted for this comment, especially when the comment I was replying to is upvoted. Wtf!! Do people here think so little of men, so are advocating for men's rights as some sort of retribution? It would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad.

Did you even read what OP posted? It seems not because if you did ,you would realise that the woman there is not complaining about not being able to find a good man, she is in fact asking those men to stop complaining that women don't want them when they are not good enough for the women in question. To sum up, she is questioning the entitlement of those men. I'm still confused about the link to men's rights. Surely we all agree that everyone should be able to choose who they date/marry, and nob…

OP, can you explain specifically what your problem is with this? It seems pretty reasonable on the face of it. I don't think it needs much of a solution. Both mothers and fathers should be responsible for the children they created, obviously when the pregnancy is brought to term, except obviously in the case of adoption as the child now has adoptive parents who are responsible for it. If the parents, or one of them, refuses this then it becomes the state's problem, which would mean that we all pay more tax to help the children whose fathers got a "financial abortion" and walked away. I've seen many many …

okay, then it's not an equivalent to abortion. Glad you can agree, I wish more people in this sub would see that it's not equivalent its an equivalent to adoption/safe haven laws It's not really an equivalent here either, as children are normally adopted to two parent households, so they have two parents to care for them and to pay for their upbringing. (I'm assuming children given up to safe havens are adopted out also, I'm not familiar as they don't exist where I live). In the case where a wom…

Couldn't agree more. "Financial abortion/paper abortion " is not a reasonable solution to this issue. Men's rights should drop it and focus on more realistic goals.

But surely you can see that in the case of abortion the foetus does not become a child, therefore there is no child who needs to be fed and clothed etc. In the case of "financial abortion" there is a child who needs to be fed, clothed etc. So, they are not the same thing, as one is literally allowing one parent to abandon the child and the other is not because there is no child. Except it's not simple because in the man's case there is a real live child who needs to be taken care of, and should have the love of both parents, but since you can't force someone to love another person, men are required to do the bare bare minimum of helping out financially, while the woman raises the child. You are clearly just looking at this issue from your own side, and failing to see the other people involved and their needs. If you used some empathy and looked at the whole situation ob…

You're incorrect. The purpose of an abortion is to end a pregnancy. There are various reasons why a woman would choose this, and don't forget sometimes abortions are procured by women who very much want to be mothers but can't in this instance. It's certainly not always about avoiding parenthood. It's about having the right to do what you choose with your own body. Men can't decide what happens with a pregnancy because it's not happening in their body. "Financial abortion" is a different thing e…

/r/MensRights08/07/22 01:29 PM
-17

They literally don't have the same purpose or result. The purpose of abortion is to end a pregnancy. The purpose of "financial abortion" is to abandon a child. The result of abortion is there is no child at all. The result of "financial abortion" is there is a child, but one parent has walked away and will not support the child in any way.

The problem is that there is no equivalent. It's not fair, sure, but that's life. Basically, abortion is about women's bodily autonomy, allowing the woman to make decisions for her own body, with the secondary result of allowing the woman to opt out of parenthood. (You might make the argument that it's often used for the secondary reason rather than the primary one, and you might be right but that doesn't change anything, as bodily autonomy surely needs to be preserved regardless). But what's ca…

The right that was taken away from women, is a right men never had It's a right men don't need, since men don't become pregnant. If a man becomes pregnant (I'm sure there has been one or two cases where a trans man became pregnant, right?) then they do have the same rights or lack of to access abortion. The thing is, abortion is a specific right for people who carry pregnancies, it's not in any way unfair to men. Taking this right away from women doesn't make men and women more equal

I live in Ireland. We finally legalised abortion in 2018, which is a good thing, now women finally have bodily autonomy while men have always had it. I'm not even sure what baby moses laws are? Is it like safe haven laws? We don't have that here. Ireland has a long and dark history of pregnant girls and women being shamed and shunned, and forced to give up their children for adoption while the men who fathered their children had no accountability or repercussions, so don't even get me started on…

I'm confused now. Men have a right to bodily autonomy. Women do not have a right to bodily autonomy (they do in certain places, under certain circumstances and restrictions, but not universally). Men do not have a right to "financial abortion". Women do not have a right to "financial abortion".

You're completely misunderstanding. In the example given by OP, the poor kid wants to be like the rich one, not the other way around. But should the poor kid be happy that the rich one is now poor and they are equal? I believe OP was meaning to compare that to MRA's saying "we don't have as many reproductive rights as women, that's unfair, we want what they have! Oh, women have now had their rights taken away, that's wonderful- now we're all equal". Do you get it now?

Because they can abort Isn't this exactly the issue being discussed though? In many areas of the world, including most recently, shockingly, some US states, women can't abort a pregnancy, in others there are severe restrictions on it. So, women don't have bodily autonomy. I won't go into the adoption side of things as that would involve a long and complex reply. also most child support payers are men. /r/MensRights05/07/22 11:25 PM

A man who wasn't mutilated at birth (majority of men in the world btw) will never be forced to, hence he has bodily autonomy. A woman who finds herself pregnant and doesn't wish to be may not be able to exercise bodily autonomy, depending on where in the world she is. The scenario of mgm and fgm on children is a different issue, I personally believe both are wrong and should be illegal.
/r/MensRights05/07/22 11:04 PM
2

No idea what that means mate
/r/MensRights05/07/22 10:59 PM

No. Women also pay child support. I disagree first of all that having to work to pay your bills is "forced labour " and child support is just another bill that some people have, that includes men and women. Child support laws don't apply only to men
/r/MensRights05/07/22 10:59 PM
-4

That's got nothing to do with bodily autonomy though
/r/MensRights05/07/22 10:42 PM
-2

Sorry but you're wrong. Men still have bodily autonomy while women (in many jurisdictions) don't. The fact that a man or a woman may have to pay child support for a child produced from their rape, doesn't change that fact
/r/MensRights05/07/22 10:30 PM
-10

I think you're probably just looking at laws that apply where you live, and forgetting that other countries exist?
/r/MensRights05/07/22 10:27 PM

/r/MensRights05/07/22 10:16 PM

Infant boys eventually become men. Those men have to live with mutilated genitals that they did not consent to having. Agree Men do not have bodily autonomy Disagree - per my comment above
/r/MensRights05/07/22 10:11 PM
-7

How is that yikes? We as a society grant most rights to adults. In recent years we have started to work on children's rights also ( which I agree with, and I think infant mgm is abhorrent and should be outlawed.) However, OP's post question was specifically about rights of men and women, that means adults.
/r/MensRights05/07/22 09:56 PM
-2

You mean foetus, not baby
/r/MensRights05/07/22 09:53 PM
-7

Correct. And in some areas of the world female children don't. And that's awful. I believe we should be working on educating the general population in countries that practice it (e.g. USA) so that parents will be informed and can make rational decisions, hopefully to not circumcise their babies. But that doesn't change the fact that MEN have bodily autonomy and WOMEN for the most part don't
/r/MensRights05/07/22 09:52 PM
-31

Men in the west are circumcised without their consent No they aren't. Babies are. I disagree with the practice as much as you do, but MEN in the west have full bodily autonomy while women do not. They are also compelled by law to provide labour in benefit to children they had no legal say in regarding their existence. You know how human foetuses are made right? Unless you're talking about women raping men then the men certainly have a say in their existence
/r/MensRights05/07/22 09:36 PM
-31

Key word "infant". Men are not infants. MEN have bodily autonomy, while women have it on a limited basis, or not at all in some countries
/r/MensRights05/07/22 09:31 PM
-23

But you're talking about infant mgm, right? MEN have bodily autonomy, infant boys in some regions don't, and pre-adolescent/adolescent girls in some regions don't (there have been strides in recent years to stamp out fgm, and I fully believe the same should be done regarding mgm). But the OP asked about rights that men have, they do have bodily autonomy
/r/MensRights05/07/22 09:29 PM
-66

Men have the right to bodily autonomy. Women have this same right in certain jurisdictions but very few, in most of the world there are restrictions on how a woman can exercise their bodily autonomy. This is probably the only one really (in most western countries). In 2022 men and women generally have the same rights (that's down to feminism of course, although I understand many of you will disagree with that). But the issues lie in how the laws are enforced and in social attitudes not catching …

There is a good reason. The physical demands of a pregnancy are not easy to combine with a career, especially not a very ambitious career that requires 60-80 hr work weeks. Splitting the work so that the woman focuses on the pregnancy, while the man goes for the career makes a lot of sense. Ok? I think this kinda backs up the point I made. We are getting away from "traditional gender roles", women are free to earn as much (or more) than their male counterparts. Therefore, we will get away from women refusing to marry a man who earns less than her. The reason women traditionally married men who earned more was because women were expected to give up their earning potential to raise children. Are we misunderstanding each other somehow?

This is just a list of nonsense things you think you must do as a man. The majority of women these days can and do all of these things. If we get rid of ridiculous "gender roles", then likely every person could do these things and no one would expect men in particular to do them

Just spend a bit of time on this sub: women are basically children good luck trying to find logic in a woman's argument women these days believe it's their right to get white men fired The above are just a few comments I've come across here, there are hundreds more. They are always upvoted, and anyone who calls out these misogynistic comments gets …

Women are not used to not getting what they want and taking accountability According to you. I happen to know plenty of women (and plenty of men) who are used to not getting what they want and taking accountability. I obviously also know some women and some men who are the opposite. You're just talking out of your ass here. We as men who are forced to pay child support and give half of our assets to our divorced ex are used to being fucked over by the government Being fucked over by the governme…

Feminists say that circumcision is good because the penis will "look nicer" and it's"more hygienic" Are you sure that it's feminists in particular who say that? I mean, there are feminists in many countries besides USA, and they definitely don't say that. In a country where circumcision is not the norm, why would feminists, or any women, say it's good because the penis will "look nicer" or be "more hygienic"? This doesn't make sense

I don't have a throwaway account. I am an active member in this sub. The more important question is why you are here trying to compare people paying child support to women's bodily autonomy? Where do you think that's going to get you? How is that going to further men's rights?
/r/MensRights26/06/22 07:41 PM

you're smug, self-righteous, unreasonable and arrogant No idea how you got all of that from my comment. But, by all means, continue making ridiculous arguments that take two separate things and try to make them the same. That's why men's rights are being taken seriously by everyone...oh, wait
/r/MensRights26/06/22 05:50 PM

You have heard of child support laws, haven't you? You're misunderstanding here. Child support laws aren't about men's bodies at all, rather men's (and sometimes women's) money. Now, you will probably argue back that men (or women in some cases) have to use their bodies to work in order to pay child support. But that's a normal part of being a human in society. For example, I don't have any kids, but I still have to work to pay my bills. Child support is another bill that some people have to pay…

Saying one needs to speak up against the SCOTUS decision in support of women is to ignore the views of pro-life women It isn't though. Keeping abortion legal doesn't affect the views of "pro-life" women. They still don't ever have to have an abortion if they don't want to

Thanks for taking the time to find some sources. That is not in any way, shape or form what feminism entails. Not seeing what, exactly? Feminists are not demanding any such thing. If anything, feminists are promoting the idea of men choosing things outside of their traditional gender role, e.g. being a stay at home father if that's what they want to do…

And of you think that many men are not willing to lie, falsely accuse, manipulate, take advantage of others etc you're deluded. We should all be somewhat cautious of who we trust, and not blindly trust strangers to be on our side. But honestly, teaching young men that they can't trust women at all ever but can trust men immediately is setting them up for trouble in future. I don't understand why you would want to lead young men in that direction
/r/MensRights16/06/22 12:35 PM
-6

If you teach them otherwise you're only putting them at risk No, wouldn't it make more sense to teach them that there are a lot untrustworthy people out there, men and women, and we should exercise caution in who we trust? Teaching them that women in general are scheming against them at all times but men in general can be trusted is setting them up to be taken advantage of in some way by unscrupulous men
/r/MensRights16/06/22 12:30 PM

Remember any woman can make any accusation against you, no matter how ridiculous or unfounded and you will not be believed and you'll be stuck with the virtually impossible task of trying to prove your innocence. I don't know what backwards hell hole you're living in where women get to retire earlier than men, that is so wrong. It's not the case where I live though, the retirement age is the same for everyone here. The fact that women live longer than men is not a gap that can be easily fixed, as we don't even really know why this is the case, science hasn't figured it out yet. You said it's clearly discriminatory against men, since they are the ones with the burden of a full time job while the women are relaxing. They are not relaxing, they are looking after the children and doing housework. They are still working, just not getting paid for it. It's no more men's fault for women's preferences than it is women's fault for men's preferences. The fault lies with the system we've been living under (many call it patriarchy, but you can give it a different name if you don't like that one). Nowadays, some men would prefer to stay home to be with their kids, and why shouldn't they be allowed to do that? Just because the traditional system said they can't? Mmm, just like... women want to earn as much as men, but then they'd be considered bad wives and mothers, for not taking care of the children and the home. So, the earnings gap is real, but it's there because of traditional gender roles assigned to men and women and what comes with those roles. Women lose out on money, men lose out on time with their kids. Wouldn't the answer be to do away with assigned gender roles, and allow each couple to decide how to divide these things between them, withou…

Ok, we can call it an earnings gap then, I've no issue with that It also doesn't take into account the fact that men are more likely to be employed full time where as women are more likely to be employed part time. In the situation you're describing, it was already rape when consent was not obtained for the sex. Whether the raped person regrets it or not does not determine if it was rape. In the situation the OP described, the person was asleep so could not possibly consent, therefore it's rape
/r/MensRights14/06/22 10:57 AM

But the OP is not talking about the difference between someone regretting sex and someone being dragged in an alley and raped. In the scenario described, the woman's boyfriend had sex with her while she was asleep, without her consent- y'know, rape! There's no suggestion that she consented then regretted it in the morning
/r/MensRights13/06/22 04:24 PM

In both cases you think a life sentence in prison? Who says this is what I think, I certainly didn't say it. Comparing it to someone else's rape by a stranger is not helpful, they are both terrible situations for the victims

You are making assumptions about the moral integrity of women (assuming that they would abandon feminism in droves if they faced the prospect of being drafted) with no evidential basis. I don't disagree that men's rights and feminism are not equivalent. I joined the men's rights sub to try and learn how to help issues, for example the huge nu…

It's just fine Hmm, sounds like you're saying it's fine for men to be the higher earners, you don't think equality is necessary? Ok, you're a tradcon. But, at the same time you don't want men to have to share the money with their partner who earns less money because she mostly stays home to birth and raise children? So really, you're just an asshole who wants to have his cake and eat it? Wow
/r/MensRights11/06/22 05:37 PM
-11

Oh I understand it alright! Many laws are "gender neutral" but in practice discriminate against women. I mean, feminists have been saying this for years. You're the one being dishonest if you don't realise that men and women being equal will benefit men in a situation like this (although men lose privileges in other areas, are you prepared to accept that?)
/r/MensRights11/06/22 05:31 PM

Well then we need more feminism to counteract that 🤷‍♀️ Because it's really not ok that this is still going on

Because most of the time in life women make less money, have less of a career, work less, etc. You don't have to put a sex on it. That's how it's worked out. Surely you can see that this is happening less and less in modern times, lots of women now are making as much or more money than men, have careers similar to men's careers, work as much as men etc. That's pretty much all thanks to feminism by the way, that allowed women to do that. So, gender neutral laws make perfect sense. I mean, do you …

Funny how you don't see how hypergamy has something to do with this, yet it sounds like the answer to your questions I genuinely, really really want you to explain to me how, as I don't see it. nobody should be entitled of someone else's assets and income without a contract I actually don't disagree with you on this at all, was there something I said that made you think I disagree with this? Just like the person I replied to above, you're making an assumption that if women were to be forced to be drafted in war, many of those women who are feminists would abandon feminism if it would get them out of that. You have no evidence that this would be the case. I'll ask you the same question I asked above: would you abandon men's rights if it would make your life easier in some way? If not, why are you assuming women automatically would?
/r/MensRights11/06/22 05:07 PM

Women date wealth as much as men date beauty. Do they really though? I mean, in patriarchal times, yes of course, since many women had no means of earning a good income while raising children, but wouldn't you agree that that's happening less and less now? What gender do you think is mostly going to benefit from this bill? Well, again, since these days more and more women work and earn their own income and build up their own assets, I would imagine we'll get to a point where both genders will be…

Huh? So, if you don't want to die, just work fewer hours in a cushier job like a woman , and accept the lower pay that comes with it
/r/MensRights11/06/22 04:08 PM
-10

Sure, it's a necessity, but do you think many women work fewer hours than men because they are lazy? They usually do it because they are the ones expected to do most of the childcare, it's a necessity for their family. So, my point still stands
/r/MensRights11/06/22 03:57 PM

You misunderstand. This is a brand new law, which IS gender neutral. Edit: who's downvoting me for stating a fact? Pathetic
/r/MensRights11/06/22 03:49 PM

You're right. And more men die in workplace accidents but that's totally ok because men choose to do more dangerous jobs

So no evidence of them "seething with rage" then, as I expected!
/r/MensRights11/06/22 02:25 PM
-52

Maybe they do, maybe they don't, but isn't that their choice? A bit like how the pay gap makes sense because women just "choose" lower paying jobs and less hours. So, more men lose assets etc on divorce/breakup because they "choose" to date someone who is financially lower. Can't really be ok with one and not the other

I believe you about the tradcons. I actually googled it and it said "Congress refused, finding that 'drafting women would place unprecedented strain on family life' by requiring young mothers to serve while fathers at home took care of the family ". That definitely sounds like tradcon speak to me. But I'm going to need some evidence that feminist women were "seething with rage" as I haven't found proof of that. Oh, so less men are getting married, which means a huge source of money transfer is lost, so now even if you are in a relationship of 3 years you could lose half your assets/property. By using quotas you reinforce the belief that the quota group is inferior Or, you reinforce the belief that the non quota group had an advantage up to now, and you're righting that wrong. No one who is up to the task would reliably need quotas to reach that position for any sustained period of time, under a rational system Is the patriarchy a rational system? I don't believe so. The rest of your comment seems like word salad to me, I don't understand what you're trying to say
/r/MensRights07/06/22 11:18 PM

I ignored it last time because you added name calling to it, remember? I live in Ireland. We don't have a draft, so women here don't get to vote without the responsibilities men have. Both men and women have the same rights and responsibilities as citizens, which is how it should be. Even if it is 40% to both genders, it is still discriminatory to men How so?
/r/MensRights07/06/22 10:51 PM

If the women are qualified, then they don't need to enforce the quotas. That's only true if we live in a meritocracy where the most qualified person always gets the job regardless of other factors, but since we live in a world where a lot of people still think men are more logical than women, harder workers, more intelligent, more capable generally (and I've seen all of those beliefs mentioned by people on this sub btw), quotas are needed to level the playing field
/r/MensRights07/06/22 08:26 PM

It's logical to assume that if you don't have enough qualified women to have 40% under normal conditions, they just don't exist or didn't apply. Meaning you'd have to hire the few women that did apply, no matter their abilities. I think I get where you're coming from now. To be fair the article doesn't mention whether they will also give a 40% quota to the other gender, but if Europe's track record is anything to go by, I think they will. They can make it that 40% have to be women, 40% have to be men, and it doesn't matter the mixture of the remaining 20%. That's fair, right?

Feminists don't all see men as not being human beings. Making feminists, who are real life people like you or I, into monsters is not answering OP's question in any way. We need to do better than this in this sub if we're to be taken seriously.

You marry someone and they don't work for years You're making the mistake of assuming the stay at home parent doesn't work. They actually work, they just don't get paid for the work they do. Sorry but yes you are biased (probably because of your own experience). The friends I was talking about all married in their 20's, after a few years of dating. They weren't settling for the 'decent guy' and then ended up resenting him, they married the person they love, and still have a good relationship in their 40"s. If you find that hard to believe then you probably need to examine your biases a bit

You sound like an incel yourself here. Your comment is full of baseless claims about "female nature". This idea that women only go for assholes and all the nice decent men are single is ridiculous. I mean, I know plenty of women who are married to nice, decent men. Don't you? I actually can't believe people are upvoting and agreeing with you, it's embarrassing for this sub. So your solution is what exactly? Would you advocate putting laws in place to make the man head of the household and the woman has to obey him? In other words, take rights away from women? And how would you handle same sex relationships, or would they be banned in your ideal world?

What don't I get? Can you explain it to me?
/r/MensRights25/05/22 10:14 PM

This comment is just a bag of misogyny. Please delete. If you're unable to make a valid argument then why bother commenting? Is it just to hate on women? That's not what this sub is about remember?

The idea that men lead and women follow is so outdated in modern times. This is not a tradcon sub. How is feminists "reprogramming" themselves (whatever that means?) going to affect men's rights?

Oh my god! If you "just want to live a normal life" then go ahead and do that. You don't need to be terrified of everything unlikely thing that could happen. Are you scared to drive because you could get into an accident? Are you scared to leave your house because you could get hit by a bus/hit by a stray bullet in a drive by etc? Are you scared to eat because you could choke? I think you sound very paranoid about something very unlikely that could happen and you brought that worry to the worst …

I find this very interesting. In my job, it would be impossible to never be alone in a car with a member of the opposite sex. When people need training when they start the job and/or ongoing they will have to be in a car all day long, maybe for several days in a row with the trainer they are assigned to. You can't refuse to work with a particular trainer based on their sex. If a guy was to start the job and say "I refuse to be alone with the female trainer in a car" the managers would say bye by…

This is a different point you're bringing up but I'm intrigued. Is it just offices, or would you say the same about a man being alone with a woman in, say, a car (if that was part of the job)?
/r/MensRights17/05/22 04:10 PM

That's not an answer to my question, but then you're not the one who wrote it. I've worked in offices plenty, but I don't see how that's relevant, offices are not the only type of workplace. If I were to ask any of my female colleagues (or indeed any women at all) " do you think it's your right as a woman to get a straight man fired?", they would literally not know what the fuck I'm talking about

I've looked through all the comments and you haven't explained the last part of my comment. If I'm to understand your comment correctly (and please explain if I'm wrong) ... In 2022 a woman couldn't possibly be the best pilot amongst a group of male pilots, because back when the original movie was made in 1986 male pilots were the standard? Is that it?
/r/MensRights14/05/22 11:47 PM

The movie being discussed in this post is brand new. It was created recently. What are you even talking about by saying "back then around the original movies creation time"? I mean, back then men were the norm in jobs like that, but we've moved on a bit since then haven't we? Can you come up with any good reason in 2022 why a woman couldn't be a good pilot?

OP, I think you didn't read the article carefully. It says that 80% of Thai immigrants are now relationship partners/Thai wives, not that 80% of immigrants are Thai women. It also says that it was "a female governor of one rural province " that requested the government to look into this, not feminists. Looks like you're trying to link this to feminism when no link exists, in fact the article hints that it's conservatives who are against Swedish men marrying and "importing" Thai women

“The conference hall was full of women,” his female audience were determined not to relinquish control. You're arguing that a group of women (not feminists necessarily, but women. You've provided no info about how many of them were feminists) at a conference in 1974 (!) who were against male birth control proves that feminists in 2022 are against male birth control. I don't fully understand what you're getting at here. Women don't have to trust men to take birth control (if that ever becomes a reality) because they can also take their own, and vice versa. So, double protection, or if one party doesn't take theirs, either by accident or on purpose, the other is still covered by theirs. /r/MensRights06/05/22 08:45 PM

I'm struggling to see the connection to men's rights here. Unless you think that women should be forced to take their husband's name when they marry? You said yourself that this doesn't affect you so why are you in this sub complaining about it? Edit: I missed the part where you said you lost respect for him over this. So, have you lost respect for every woman you know who changed to her husband's name upon marriage? That's probably a lot of women you have less respect for

You are correct about this, and I completely agree with you. But it is a separate topic. I mean, making abortion illegal for adults who are pregnant will do nothing to prevent infant mgm. Wouldn't you agree? So, how do we solve that? Personally, I really believe education is key. However, I don't live in the US and we don't practice it here so maybe you think differently? It still doesn't change the fact that removing the right to bodily autonomy for women won't do anything to help men or boys

And I'm not going to join the hysteria This is hilarious considering you're the OP of this post. You are the one spreading the histeria on this sub. I'll either support rights for everyone or support rights for no one. Except, right now, both men and women have the right to bodily autonomy, if roe v wade is overturned it's going to mean taking that right away from women but keeping it intact for men. Surely you're not in favour of that inequality?

All you're doing now is trying to twist my words into something they're not. I didn't admit anything there. Once again, abortion is medical care. It includes but is not limited to, some extreme cases. I personally believe it should be legal (but of course nobody ever has to have an abortion if they don't wish to, so why not have it legally available?) Any kind of blanket ban does much more harm than good. I suspect you see my point but don't want to admit defeat. The thing is, I am not trying to…

I know you think this is a great "gotcha" question, but it really isn't. The answer to your question is no. Terminating a pregnancy is a medical decision between a pregnant person and their doctor. It's not up to me, or you, to decide who is worthy of that medical care. It doesn't change my point at all. Making abortion illegal is not asking women to do the same. It's forcing women to continue pregnancies even when the pregnancy is a danger to her health or her life. It's forcing women to continue pregnancies when the foetus has such awful abnormalities that it's born it will live a painful miserable life. I could go on but I think you get the picture. But many people on this sub like to point out that some women had the right to vote, even if less than men, as if that means there was no sexism going on. Yes, I googled it in the mean time and saw that it is true. I personally don't agree that anyone should get to be a member of parliament without being voted in. /r/MensRights05/04/22 10:44 PM

Not only that but Malta has also introduced gender quotas for members of parliament and thus there can be women elected with barely any votes, if any, whilst men who managed to get more votes but not enough to be democratically elected would of course not be elected. Are you sure this is correct? Just, I mean, where I live there is also a gender quota for members of parliament (30% must be women, 30% must be men, the other 40% can be anyone, so in theory you could have 70% women/30% men or vice …

I think you should think about not being anti feminism or pro feminism either, but rather just being a decent person and trying to have a good life for you and the people close to you. People on this sub like to say that feminism is cancer. If it is, then anti feminism is also cancer. You are driving yourself crazy based on things peopl…

This is a good, positive post OP. If you're wondering why it didn't get any traction, it's because you're not blaming feminism in your post, that's the only way you get real involvement in a post on this sub

The feminist subs are nothing more than outrage porn. They exist for women to vent how unfair the world is for them, and to pat each other on the back and tell them how right they are. Tell us how this sub is any different? Men venting about how unfair the world is for them, and patting each other on the back telling them how right they are? Come on!

Can I ask you a question? Is being antifeminist improving your life in any way? What I mean is as a feminist who is also a woman, I can easily see the positive effect feminism has had on my life, and is continuing to have. So, you could be pro men's rights, as I am also, without being antifemist. But you've mentioned that you are considering still being antifeminist. Does that help you in any way? Just something to think about...

Well this post is from earlier today and nobody has "debunked my comments " as you put it. Many have said that feminists will fight against birth control for men but none have been able to show why they think that. I actually went to the ask feminists sub and asked the question, and they all think birth control for men will be a great thing, none of them are against it. So, you and the others are wrong. Will I get upvoted though? No chance, on this sub if you don't include the words "feminists b…

I asked the same question much earlier today and still have no answer from anyone on this sub. It would seem there are no instances of feminists fighting against male contraceptives
/r/MensRights23/03/22 07:53 PM

This is the biggest pile of rubbish I think I've ever read. You seem to be confused by the difference between women and feminists, as well as the difference between conception and gestation/birth. Of course women should have agency over the latter. Also FYI for everybody here, I went ahead and asked about this in the feminist sub to ask questions of feminists. Guess what? They all think male birth control would be a good thing, and are not looking to fight against it. Shocker!
/r/MensRights23/03/22 06:08 PM

Male birth control that can be exclusively controlled by the man with little risk of compromise shifts this reproductive power away from women. That is something that feminists always lobby against. So show me feminists lobbying against it?
/r/MensRights23/03/22 05:40 PM
-4

You can't really say that something will happen unless there's precedent for that, otherwise you're just guessing. So, when exactly have feminists spoken out against contraception for men? When have feminists tried to ban vasectomies? You have no reason to think that feminists will fight against this, it's a poor argument from you. But thanks for saying that not all feminists are alike, most of the people on this sub seem to think that all feminists are the same; hate men, want men to die etc.
/r/MensRights23/03/22 04:05 PM

Feminists and the government will fight against it Well, as a feminist I think this would be great news, and would not fight against it. Neither would any of the other feminists I know. What makes you say they would?

No, I'm not saying those aren't "the real feminists ", I'm saying they aren't feminists at all, just like I guess tradcons often claim to be MRA's but then advocate to keep men as financial providers for women, they're not MRA's are they? Anyhow, it's late, I need to get to bed, I responded to one person above who made a claim, asking for examples to back up his claim, he couldn't back it up, then I received replies from several others including you, trying to argue with me, but not one of you co…

I refuse to get into an argument about whether FDS are feminists or not, when we all know they aren't. I mean, if a man said he's an MRA and then stated he thinks it's right that only men should be drafted and of course men should have to lose most of their money and assets during divorce, what would you think? He claims to be an MRA so he obviously is one, right? That's how it works? Or does one need to have men's rights values to be an MRA? Getting back to the point, you made a claim which you…

Your comment was removed? By the mods you mean? Anyway, you spoke about feminists saying those things, and I asked for examples of feminists saying those things. So no, I will not go to FDS, as they are not feminists by any stretch of the imagination. I went to that sub once and was appalled by how unfeminist they are, so I won't be going back there. Haha this is hilarious, the other day when I was with my little niece and I couldn't find something, she said "you have to look with your eyes!". It's hilarious that you basically just said the exact same thing to me. But like, she's 5 years old. So, I will ask again: can you give me examples of feminists (not women or girls, but feminists) saying the things you're accusing them of? I mean, I can't agree with you and then promote to others that it's the case unless I've seen real examples, y'kno…

This is an interesting comment. I mean anyone, not just feminists, talking about neckbeards are not really talking about the look, but more what that look is taken to represent i.e. incels, a bit like how some people on this sub talk about obese women with tattoos and piercings and see that as a representation of feminists. But, I lurk quite a bit in feminist subs, and I've never really seen a feminist going on about scrawny dudes, fat dudes, baldness or short men. Can you show me some examples …

if he has no say over her body, she has no say over his money This argument is nonsensical, you are trying to compare two completely different things. The woman's body should be compared to the man's body, both should have bodily autonomy, and since the pregnancy is happening in the woman's body and not the man's, she of course gets to decide whether to carry the pregnancy to term or not. Also then the man's money should be compared to the woman's money, as they are two comparable things. So, fo…

This. This is exactly the point I wanted to make but you've summed it up perfectly. Too many MRA's seem to take the stance that the mother just goes through pregnancy and birth, then the father takes over all responsibility for the child, especially financial responsibility. As if the mother is not also spending money to raise the child for 18+ years... Adding an edit here for u/AgincourtSalute. You blocked me didn't you? No, I replied to the OP, then you replied to me. My initial comment was addressing the OP. Being married puts a man at risk of losing everything and never seeing his kids again should she decide to divorce him. So should I assume that you don't think men should put themselves in this position? Personally speaking, I don't think anyone should put themselves in a position where they will be financially vulnerable and at the mercy of another person, whatever their gender. What that vulnerability lo…

My comment is as neutral as the OP I was replying to. Everything I said should apply to househusbands too, and I firmly believe everyone, no matter their gender or sexual orientation, should think hard before putting themselves in a situation of being financially reliant on someone else. My reply was about women because that's who OP was referring to. It feels like you just want to argue for the sake of it

But that’s why I clarified in saying, “make sure I’m loved.” How exactly does any person make sure they are going to be loved long term? Lots of relationships start out loving, and with great intentions and eventually become a shitshow. In that case, I'm sure you would agree that you'd be better off having your own income, even though you have to work hard for it, instead of having the easier job of keeping house but be completely reliant on another person financially? Don't you think it's fair …

Lots of men know all about that. I'm sure they do. And if you read my comment again I'm sure you will notice that I didn't say otherwise. Your comment doesn't invalidate mine, in fact you're bringing up a different perspective (which I'm not necessarily disagreeing with) as if it's a rebuttal to what I said, but it isn't

If someone gave me the choice to have a partner that would pay all my bills, keep me safe, give me a home, get me food, and make sure I'm loved, all for the simple price of house chores I'd kill. But what would happen if that partner became abusive to you? You wouldn't be able to leave as you would have no money of your own. That's why so many women nowadays don't want the arguably much easier job of staying home to do the housework, because the person without money is in a much more vulnerable po…

some women try and use sex and affection to either reinforce some of their male partner’ behavior, or withhold sex and affection to punish their male partner’ behavior. But, men do this to women too. If you've never been in relationships with men you might not be aware. I'm not saying that there aren't women who do this, just that there are also men who do, so why are you singling out the women who do it and labelling it as a female trait?
/r/MensRights14/03/22 08:55 PM

No, that's actually pretty normal for people in this day and age. All the women I know are like that too. Unfortunately you're resenting women for something that's not even true. You should ask yourself why it's so important to you to invent things to resent women for?

I don't know where you live yourself, but where I live women and men are subject to the same military service requirements (or lack thereof, we don't have a draft) and no women are complaining about that. Also here men and women retire at the same age and women are not complaining about that. I don't know what responsibilities you think men have that women don't want. Women are not equal to men because they do not want to be. They want a man they can look up to. They do not want to take on the same responsibilities as men. That's quite a bold statement to make. Women don't want to be equal to men? How many women have you asked? They want men they can look up to? Are you a tradcon? I'm not on the feminist sub so I wouldn't know anything about that. You are incorrect about me. I have heard many things in recent years about men's rights (on radio, in documentaries etc) and wanted to learn more about it. Wasn't expecting what I see here. But, I didn't call you all misogynists, I just said there is a lot of misogyny here, and I stand by that because it's true. Do you think it's possible to advocate for men without making women into villains? Because I do, and that's what I believe MRA's should be doing. Obviously I'm in the minority on that here

I'm not sure a comment like that needs debunking. I mean, if you posted it on other reddit subs, what do you think the response would be. If you showed it to your family or your wife/girlfriend what would they think? That's rude. Yes I am new to reddit. Saw this sub mentioned somewhere and thought I would check it out.
