He was a pedophile who picked her, a child, up to have sex with her and pay money to her abusive sex trafficking pimp. I’m not saying whether or not the murder was justified; thats irrelevant. I’m saying the other facts though how they are. Don’t be a pedophile apologist.

I’m not gonna believe some rando’s reddit post when I’ve already done extensive research into the topic outside of reddit. But you do you, throwing insults like a preteen when I’ve already made it clear in previous comments that I’ve researched the topic.

No kidding. There’s a lot of good stuff in this sub, which is why i subscribed. But when stuff like this makes it to my front page, with an absurd amount of upvotes, it makes me cringe. Seeing posts calling out female pedophiles raping high school boys is needed. Seeing posts calling out the double standard of female rapists is needed. But calling a child sex trafficking victim anything but what she is and expressing outraged she was freed? Its so absurd I wouldnt have seen this post as anything…

Thank you for commenting something reasonable. I did a lot of research in the case, since I knew there had to be some reason why she was found guilty. There are a lot of gray areas, but one part thats very clear cut is the fact she was a child. A child being sex trafficked. Any sexual acts with her are rape, regardless of it they paid money. Whether or not it was self defense, the plain facts are that he was a pedophile raping a child, and that should have been presented more clearly in the tria…

I can’t believe this got so many upvotes. She was a kid being sex trafficked and abused. Calling her a prostitute is factually incorrect.

Alright I’m gonna tell you a different spin than what others have said here. Mostly so it doesnt become an echo chamber, which is precisely what this sub wants to avoid. Or I hope so at least. First off; the shit they’re telling you is awful and those people need a Title IX complaint as soon as they do something thats super obviously clearly a violation. In case you dont know, Title IX is the federal law in the US that makes discrimination in schools based upon sex illegal. Its usually used by w…

As someone who is prescribed it, I am here to inform! Its basically a medication thats intended to stop panic attacks while they’re happening; so it works super fast and helps someone calm down. Its good at what it does; if I feel the symptoms of a panic attack start to rise up, one absurdly low dose pill will make it go away instantly. Only side effects I’ve encountered is that it makes you sleepy sometimes, especially if your dose is higher. Theres no “high” associated with the drug. Unless yo…

I see that you aren’t in the US, and i’m not familiar with international laws. But isnt there anti-discrimination laws in your country? In the US, we have a law that states you can’t discriminate or exclude someone from a class based upon their sex; which was designed to benefit women, but in recent times we’ve been able to use it in cases like yours. I don’t know if your country has a law like that, but it could be a good idea to bring it up.

I mean, i WOULD, but a good reputation is 100% of a stylist’s power. I’m not a popular enough stylist yet to be comfortable ruining someone’s hair like that. A negative review on yelp could destroy me :c

I stated in another comment on here. But, at least in California, Barbers only have 200 hours less training than stylists (1400 hours vs 1600). She wanted a shaved cut, which is 100% within his training. Your argument that hes not trained for it is completely false. BUT. As a stylist, its our right to refuse cutting anyone’s hair we arent comfortable with. At least in my area it is. Reading the title got me really confused; as a hair stylist (I’m a guy), I blatantly refuse to cut men’s hair because I don’t feel comfortable with clippers. I also refuse certain women’s haircuts because I don’t feel comfortable with them. This isn’t for any discrimination reason; its simply because being a stylist is a form of art and I don’t want to make anyone leave with a haircut they hate. After reading the article though, I see the issue. Barbershops aren’t “men only”; they’re men’s hairc…

I didnt say the girl in the images is “fit”. I said she’s normal and not obese. People who are trying to objectify her, or like you and just spout off wildly incorrect information about her weight, are exactly why no one takes Mens Rights seriously. Rather than focus on the issue at hand (ie. the double standard of her being nearly nude and not reprimanded), people are trying to comment on her body. Its sad more than anything. Thats my entire point though. Imitating fake trans people just fuels transphobes. Its really harmful to the real trans people. I can see though, an alternative that would be more effective; when they charge you the “man tax”, say “gender is a social construct, and I don’t identify with social constructs.” Or just pull the nonbinary card, as being nonbinary doesnt mean you’d be faking being a trans woman, as well as nonbinary genders specifically existing for the sake of gender BEING a social con…

I’m not the one you’re replying to, but trans people (trans women specifically) are hated beacause people think they’re just men in disguise, whereas they are not. Being transgender is much more complex than that. Which is what that person was suggesting we do; “pretend” to be a trans woman, which would just tell them that transwomen are men in disguise and not actually women. Thus fueling the fear of transphobes and suggesting to them their transphobia was correct (the transphobia being that tr…

Well sure you’d break into smaller groups to practice. But the article discusses the fact they’ve won regional tournaments, etc, so they most likely are doing more complex stunts.

This seems like a small team, considering the addition of another male member caused them to have to boot one of the girls off the team. Just looking up the city, their population is 24k. I can’t find info on how many people were on their cheer team, but I can’t imagine its a lot. Back in my hometown, which has a population of 33k, the local high school’s JV cheer team has 22 people. Its also based entirely on lifting and throwing your teammates. You need to make contact with others to participate.
/r/MensRights01/06/18 07:50 PM

I’m mostly saying to be accountable for your own actions. If you’re joining a contact sport, you’ll need to actually participate and, ya know, make contact. Theres plenty of other sports they could have joined that wouldn’t have been with child rape victims.
/r/MensRights01/06/18 05:37 PM

Am I the only one thinking the boy’s mother is a bit dumb? The whole sport of Cheerleading is very contact-heavy. If she doesnt want him touching the girls who were already on the team, he should join a different sport. I understand the sentiment of not wanting to touch assault victims since it could land you in hot water too; but rather than expose what happened to these kids when they were under the age of 10 (yes, they were that young when assaulted) to the entire team, they really should hav…

How old was he when he began transitioning? Its a shame, because transgender people face enough people telling us we're faking it as it is. I knew I was a boy since I was little, crying as my parents forced me to wear dresses. I started transitioning at age 18, two weeks before my 19th birthday. I'm 24 now and I couldn't be happier with myself. But its true. Some people do detransition. Some realize that they couldn't transition to who they wanted to be. Sounds about right to me. Kidnapped and raped at age 12 by an older man, and I was lead to believe it was consentual by my peers for many years. Only once I got older and realized a 12 year old virgin who barely understands masturbation can't consent to sex with an adult. It fucked me up for a long time.

So wait, you gave her a warning for being horrible to OP, but you banned OP for his own (potentially) offensive comment? How is that fair at all? As a male cosmetology student, I gotta say this graph is too lenient. At my school, with maybe 100 students, I am one of TWO men. The other guy is graduating this week, so soon I'll be the only one. Funny enough, our teaching staff has more male teachers than we have students (with 5 male teachers)

I run the (mostly dead) sub /r/bagspreading and I picked the more gender neutral name because it would imply its done by both genders. So can't get the "sexist" complaints. Just so happens to be that this happens p much exclusively by women. You are saying that genital mutilation should be between you and your doctors, and that you don't want government intervention on genital mutilation. That is literally stating you believe it should be legal, considering you are advocating for doctors to make the descision on whether or not to mutilate a baby's genitals, rather than the law. Not sure where I am misinterpreting. Unless you disagre, and do believe genital mutilation should be illegal?

I agree, and its sad how many people are angry at you for this. Every time I see sexist rhetoric in here i cringe, because I want to share this sub to all my friends but they're going to think I'm as anti-woman as a lot of people here are. There needs to be a mens rights movement that isnt anti-women so I can share it. But as it stands, I cant, and it sucks
/r/MensRights25/04/17 07:42 AM

Yes they can. But adults taking advantage of children is why age of consent exists. To deny that is to be denying facts, and I'm not about that. Just because some children taken advantage of by adults aren't scarred by it doesn't mean it should be legal.
/r/MensRights24/04/17 10:45 PM

Yeah, this article is shit. That much we agree on.
/r/MensRights23/04/17 10:03 PM

I'm pretty certain most statutory rape laws say if they're within 4 years of age, its either not a crime or a much lesser one. I agree things like that specifically shouldn't count. But as someone who was coerced into sex as a 14 year old by an adult, I very very very much agree with anyone who says its rape. Because it is. Age of consent laws are there to protect children who are too immature to consent to sex.
/r/MensRights23/04/17 05:16 PM
4

He cannot legally consent because he is not an adult. Your anti-age of consent views dont do much for MRM, it makes you sound like you support pedophilia (even if you do not). Just pointing it out. A boy under 16 cannot consent whether you agree or disagree.

I have also asked. Its a 50/50. I can admit, I have never gotten a verbal "no". But I have had women ignore me, or put headphones on, or give me a death glare. Or most fun, scoot the purse slightly so I only get half a seat. Its much more inconveniencing to do this in the first place. If I ever have a bag on the seat, as soon as someone gets on the bus I pick it up and put it in my lap to eliminate the issue.
/r/MensRights20/04/17 02:34 PM
3

I do see guys do it, but not nearly as frequently as woman. Probably because women are more likely to have purses on them at all times, but also because guys dont give a shit who sits next to them. Seriously, a few days ago I saw a man with a huge fucking bag (literally twice his size) in his lap! While the lady next to him had a (small in comparison) purse between them. /r/MensRights20/04/17 02:30 PM

Thats only a 4% difference, and it doesnt take into account demographics of specific areas. Where I live, I tend to see it pretty even, but leaning towards more men. Perhaps those other 4% of women just aren't riding the bus? But regardless, its a small difference
/r/MensRights20/04/17 02:18 PM

Usually when I ask, too, I am completely ignored. The other day I asked a woman to move her purse so I could sit, and she turned away from me and put headphones on. And she can't have the excuse I'm some scary guy she's afraid to sit next to; I'm a young attractive man, not a creepy neckbeard or homeless guy. She literally didnt want me next to her for no reason

Manspreading is, according to feminists, when a guy sits with his legs so far apart, no one can sit next to him.
/r/MensRights20/04/17 02:15 PM

It might be our areas we live in. I'd say it runs 50/50 over here, leaning more towards more overweight men. But I'm speaking general terms, I'm not counting anyone whos a heathly weight but not a stick.
/r/MensRights20/04/17 02:14 PM

As someone who rides the bus twice a day, five days a week, I can assure you that women taking up multiple seats with bags is significantly more common than "manspreading". Your nationality doesn't define you, unless you're white. Your sexuality doesn't define you, unless you're straight. Your gender doesn't define you, unless you're cis. Like. I'm none of those and even I can see how fucked that is

Always a favorite of mine. Talk critically about feminism and they call you a het white cis male, as if they invalidates everything you say. Had that happen to me before too, and they reeled back as soon as I pointed out I was a bi mixed trans male.... Which is stupid by the way, isnt the whole point of these social justice movements that being born a certain way doesn't define you?

Just judging from the article, the girl seems to have very petty reasons for wanting to find the donor. But it seems to me that the law only allows her to contact him if he consents; if he doesn't consent, then she'd be fined a large sum. So, I dont see any particular problem with the way the law is currently written, unless I'm missing something?

Otoko can mean man, but when you use it on its own it has younger connotations. Not sure how else to word that. I said that all japanese Kanji is derived from the Chinese alphabet, and I explained its Chinese alphabet origins. If you want to insult me and act like I'm lying, go ahead. I was just trying to explain it for you as easiest as I could.
/r/MensRights11/01/17 06:39 PM
1

You're partially correct; otoko isn't exactly the word for "man", its the word for "boy". It implies a younger male. Keep in mind all japanese kanji is just simplified chinese; its derived from a chinese character that means "man who works in the fields". (Note: Theres no real word for "man" other than to add 人 to the end of boy, making it "boy person" thus implying adult) The kanji for woman is the same as the chinese character, BUT, the original kanji was a LOT more complex. It was more a pict…

The person I was responding to was stating that women cant rape each other because theres no penetration. I pointed out double sided dildos, because if that was used then they would both be penetrating each other at the same time, thus, both would be rapists and rapees at the same moment (and also showing how stupid the penetration laws are). My comment wasnt referring to the states which specify penis, and neither was the person I was responding to. We were both making joking comments about the…

I'm a trans man, too. I usually don't try to argue with most feminist-type or LGBT people that men and women are equally oppressed. I usually get called a transphobic sexist woman hater. And when I volunteer for LGBT youth... thats not a good thing to be labelled. I usually frame it as "Hey, here's X issue thats terrible that happened!" and dont call it mens rights, or feminism, or whatever. Whenever possible, I gently and politely explain to people why feminism as a movement is shit, and I've a…

While I agree with your points (upvote for that, good sir), I disagree with your conclusion. Focusing on physical differences usually just opens a transphobic can of worms that will mostly just silence the MRA movement. I think pointing out that cis male structure causes these sitting positions; but focusing on sexual dimorphism, where in our species its not as drastic as others, will create more issues than it will solve.

Why are they afraid, again? If you're expressing your beliefs on tax policies, or shit like that, I seriously doubt you'll get your ass kicked. If you're going up to LGBT people and telling them to their faces that you consider them subhuman and "dont get mad, thats just my opinion".... well, i wont feel sympathy when you get punched. Seriously, the only time I see conservative hate is when they bring it upon themselves by putting down someone else. Be it racism, homophobia, or sexism. But if yo…

As a trans person, I can assure you its innate. I knew since I was 4 that I was not a girl. Anyone who transitions because of social aspects usually winds up detransitioning once they experience actual dysphoria

I dont particularly have the energy. I'd have to write an essay to describe everything wrong with what he said. Plus, once someone straight up insults me, I reserve the right to not want to deal with them lol. He literally said I am a woman with a mental illness, not sure if I can reason with someone who believes thats what I am. Edit: Its about respect. If he can't respect me, I don't have to have a discussion with him. Simple as that.

I'm not saying that doesn't happen; in a different comment I even said how a lot of people detransition when they realize their transitioning wasnt based on a desire to be the other gender, but instead, just based on hating themselves. It does happen. But, its not a good thing.

Its all good! I did an AMA a few months ago on my view of the male gender after having lived as a woman for 16 years prior to transitioning to male. If you're interested, I suggest searching for it in this sub and reading it (though, since I was on a throwaway account, I was a bit brutal in my opinions; moreso than usual, so be warned lol). I don't fault anyone for not understanding everything with trans people; I bet its super weird to the outside world. So, don't worry about it. Feel free to P…

Its okay if you're transphobic. I know you mean well and just don't understand what you're talking about. I hope you meet trans people someday and come to understand what transgender is, and eventually stop being transphpbic.

Sex change is an outdated phrase. Sounds like something straight out of the 80s. Its not a "change", its a "transition". But, I digress. The current climate for men and boys definately is against transitioning. Sure life is easier as a woman, but that doesn't mean they want to accept transwoman as women either. Hence all the laws to bar transwomen from using the women's restroom; society as a whole just sees them as men. Same with toward me; I'm just seen as a woman by society despite the fact I…

Judging from the post's wording, it really seemed to be implying that. But if not, then good. And well... I really don't think it works that way. Transitioning from male to female is incredibly difficult and dangerous. Its not quite a ball pit
/r/MensRights02/11/16 08:27 PM

Transwomen aren't transitioning to female because being a guy sucks; they're transitioning because of dysphoria (aka their body doesn't match what their mind thinks should be there). I agree though that being a guy isn't all its cracked up to be. I'm trans, but female to male; while I'm happier with my body and myself after transitioning, I have to say that being a girl was WAY easier. Being a guy means I cant have an opinion without being told to shut up, or I'm oppressing someone (???). But wh…

I usually just tell people I believe in equal rights and disagree with modern feminism, rather than call myself an MRA. Fact is, most people think Mens Rights is just being upset at stupid shit; its not. But you can't change people overnight. So distancing myself from the movement's name, while still advocating for its beliefs, helps me get people seeing the truth without alienating them.

Oddly enough, my workplace has shown the opposite; a majority of the leads and managers are women. I think out of 20 managers, 4 are men? And leads, its about 75% women and 25% men. But my workplace is a bit odd, so I'll chalk it up to that

I'm literally calling it the legal name. You can fight all you want about what counts as consent. I'm just saying that legally, a minor cannot consent and that age changes depending on the laws of that area. If we were in rural japan, you can have sex with a 12 year old and it wouldn't be considered rape. People like to actually state that 12 year olds are mature enough to understand the implications of sex. I called it rape because thats what it is. If you don't like that, abolish age of consen…

Well yeah, but moreso women. Its a genetic difference, caused by hormones.
/r/MensRights31/07/16 12:16 AM

On one hand, she's partly right; woman are genetically designed to hold more fat than men. Women have a thin layer of fat beneath their skin (unless severely underweight) that causes them to have those rounder features than men have. It is a thing. BUT. This layer of fat is incredibly thin unless you're severely overweight. The different is null as soon as you're overweight. So genetics aren't making women more fat than man; over eating is. And that goes for either gender.

Seeing this here confused me, as I know the original artist and knew this was definately not something she'd write. Seeing in the comments the original comment made me feel a bit better. As a transmale though, I do have to say a lot of transtrender do this kind of thing. They think being trans is cool and then realize its not, its not fun at all. Then they detransition and try to convince every other trans person to do so as well. Not cool.
