Could somebody please explain this Google memo to me simply, and why it's controversial/why we should support the man who was fired for writing it? In a nutshell: Guy at google says diversity hiring undermines meritocracy, differences in representation are due to trends inherent in the biological differences between men and women, and the company's work culture is becoming a toxic echo chamber of progressivism which punishes criticism. I think one of the biggest obstacles is the lack of practical knowledge about dealing with depression and suicidal ideation from a social standpoint. –	Here's a thought I've had lately with regard to men, suicide, and them (supposedly) not emoting more... I can't speak for all suicidal men since I obviously didn't go through with it. Not to say I wasn't serious; I had a shotgun in my mouth with a toe on the trigger. I felt at peace with the decision. Leading up to that state my perceptions were becoming twisted.
