I've been rejected romantically a couple times. Idk about leagues, I assume because they rejected me they were above it lol 😅 Happened twice in highschool and then I got my bf after graduating and we're still together. Both times the guys made a point to bully me about it incessantly.

My boyfriend not being able to communicate his feelings was probably the second biggest hurdle we've gone through in our relationship and almost resulted in a permanent break-up. He kept telling himself that talking about the problems he was experiencing wouldn't help, but he kept things bottled up for so long that he eventually snapped and abruptly broke things off with me. I had really tried to get him to talk to me, but of course you don't want to push a person beyond their comfort zone when …

I don't really care tbh. It of course depends on the bf. Most guys I know aren't that chatty or gossipy, so if my friend tells her bf smthn I said, it wouldn't go much further than that. If they were dating someone who I think would be more gossipy, I probably just wouldn't tell them as much (I don't share many secrets or deep feelings with my friends to begin with, I mostly reserve that for my bf).

if the gift or treating was clearly because they were into you (which I'm assuming is the premise of this question), you should at least tell the peron you're in a relationship so they're not wasting their money on you. But otherwise, I get platonic friends gifts and pay for their meals often enough, so it's not always a romantic thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/22 02:22 PM

yea it's pretty much like having a very intimate best friend you also fuck
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/22 02:19 PM
2

Basically never. I don't mind it at all, although it doesn't rlly provide much pleasure. My man just isn't into it. I wouldn't care either way, I'm quite indifferent to it.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/22 05:20 AM

I'm rlly not touchy with anyone besides family or extremely close friends (and obv my bf as well), so whenever anyone does it to me I get so uncomfy. Even women tbh. Like I can either say no and look like a dick, or hug them and be super uncomfortable. Icky. I do have some sympathy for ppl who just don't understand social boundaries, but I still don't like it.

I have a friend who buzzed her hair off a while ago, and now that it's in the growing out process she looks like harry potter.

I'm saying men looking to commit to a monogamous relationship likely wouldn't be as interested in high-n women, strippers or sex workers

No he's very mellow. I prefer low energy men. Most of our hang out time is gaming together, cuddling, hanging out with our families, and taking each other on cute dates. I've never been interested in having a very exciting partner and I'm adverse to change and spontaneity (although I understand why some women find it fun). The initial stages of the relationship were exciting of course, just because falling in love is an exhilarating experience. But now we're just comfortable with each other and …

oh lmao 🤣 Yea that was a bit confusing. I agree tho. A positive relationship with a good dad is hugely important
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 08:31 PM

How often do you interact with ppl aged 60-70? They're kinda just normal adults, just with more life experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 08:31 PM
1

Exciting--sure but not necessary, maybe a bit mysterious (although that's kinda cringe), fun is good, a bit spontaneous is okay (another one I'm personally not into), but why would we want to feel like shit? 😅
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 08:27 PM

You'd simply be wrong if you viewed it as inherently unequal. Me and my partner are equals. There is nothing that makes him more valuable or me lesser than. Yet we enjoy a traditional relationship. You haven't provided any reason to believe it's unequal. I'm not saying there aren't traditional relationships that are unequal, but it's not an inherent characteristic of traditional relationships. Just like how non-traditional relationships can have unequal dynamics
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 08:12 PM
0

I'm a traditionalist and I see it that way lol. Me and my partner are equals, we simply fulfill different roles in the relationship. Both of us are equally valuable. There's nothing inherently misogynistic or unequal about a traditional relationship. It doesn't have to be the kind of relationship you want, but you're generalizing all traditional relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 08:02 PM

true. Funkos are kinda mid
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 07:49 PM

you can have a traditional relationship and still treat your partner as an equal. It's different roles, not different value

Couldn't be anything worse than what I have in my room, so I'd probably be into it (if I were a doer of casual sex lol). Idk if I'd want them in the actual room we're gonna be fucking in tho lol.

me and my bf used to watch Andrew Tate clips together on insta. Granted my bf didn't really admire him, we just thought he was funny and he had a few good nuggets of wisdom here and there. I would probably be off put if my man put any internet personality on a pedestal, but I don't care if who he listens to as long as he approached the topic with wisdom and discernment.

you're so funny
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 07:00 PM
1

I suppose. Why else would people do it
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 06:56 PM

Well idk rlly. I guess positive attention (such as people comforting you or people being concerned for your well being) always gives a bit of dopamine.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 06:22 PM
1

Well it depends. I've described what I view to be the epitome of confidence and I don't think anyone is perfect. It's more like an ideal I think men should strive towards and the closer a man is to it, the more attracted I will be. Maybe like 30%ish are confident enough I would use it as a characteristic to describe them as. It generally takes more for a man to pass the confidence threshold than the looks threshold for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 06:05 PM
1

Ah. Well I feel like it's a state of being. A man who is confident is a man who's happy with who he is, what he wants from life, and where he's going. Imo it kinda seeps into every aspect of a person's character. A confident person is self aware (I think sometimes confidence gets confused with pompousness, which is more like putting on airs rather than genuine confidence) and isn't concerned with how people perceive them. To a reasonable extent of course, I think a man who is truly comfortable w…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 05:53 PM

Speaking personally, confidence matters more than looks to me. Unless the man is unbearably ugly, confidence makes up for a ton of what they're lacking in looks. Like idc how handsome a guy is, it probably won't register if he doesn't carry himself with confidence. Whereas I've had plenty of men catch my eye simply because they've got the confidence and self assurance I like, even if they're visually not as appealing
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 05:27 PM

I would be surprised if most millionaires with stripper wives were practicing complete monogamy. It's a trophy wife, it's just to look good. Not real commitment.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 05:10 PM

getting traumatized
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 05:06 PM

They like being able to claim victimhood and they also like having something to complain about to their friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 05:02 PM

yea first thing women do when they feel hard done by is go complain to their friends (or anyone who will listen). Even for very very minor things. I really try to only talk about positive things concerning my man, unless I need genuine advice in which case I'll share with my closest friend or parents. I do think men can complain a lot too tho. I'm part of a friend group that games frequently together and they're all men, and they shit talk women constantly.

That doesn't mean it's not attractive
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 04:50 PM
1

It's either unattractive or attractive imv. Confidence is extremely attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 04:47 PM

when they see a good looking person with a bad personality, the reward for their "fixing" efforts is more visible.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 04:46 PM

most women I know are quite attracted to confidence
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 04:43 PM

Women want confidence, not meekness. My brother is extremely confident and he'll routinely check himself out in the mirror just for funsies. He has women. making moves on him constantly and he doesn't even engage in the party scene lol. I do think you're wrong in the the opposite of modesty is a pompous asshole, it's most often just a very confident man. Women are attracted to confidence, this has been established for a while now
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 04:08 PM

Yea his scent is a huge turn on, but I also just have a very dirty mind lmao. Yea idk what the deal is cuz I always really enjoy sex and how it feels. I'll have to look into that stuff.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 04:02 PM

I'm the same way. I'm pretty much constantly ready to go at it. Foreplay is nice of course and I'm not like constantly wet lol, but pretty much all my man needs to do is exist and my mind starts wandering sometimes. My libido is quite a bit higher than my partner's actually. Even tho the arousal part is easy I do have a bit of difficulty actually finishing. Like I'll be aroused and really enjoying the experience, but it takes a lot more to finish than for my man. I'm still in the process of figu…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 03:48 PM

I spoke to my doctor about this once and she told me my testosterone levels don't affect my libido at all. After some research it looks like women with overly high testosterone levels (such as with PCOS) may actually experience a lower libido than normal.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 03:42 PM

No. If anything maybe just tone down the libido a bit

Yea honestly I'm not sure how many exist. I'm Christian and so are my sisters and close friend whom I consider have quite healthy relationships. So I know the Christian culture plays a huge part in promoting certain relationship values. Also a lot could be due to how I was raised (My parents had a healthy loving relationship and valued family and stability). Because for me I find that kind of stability, level headedness, reliability, etc. attractive and so do my sisters. But most of my secular f…

it's presented in a funny way but I genuinely agree with that video.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 09:04 AM
1

Yea I see it often with some of my female friends. It's honestly really unfortunate. But then again, I think it could almost act as a filter for those men. The type of women who prefer the drama and shit tend to be quite toxic. So if they find a woman who appreciates the peace and the romance, it would probably set them up for a better relationship in the long run (assuming they can vet out the women who are just settling or trying to take advantage of their kindness)
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 09:00 AM

Yea I get that. Just going off of what the archetype is tho, I don't think it's something young men should aspire towards (Assuming they want a healthy marriage and family in the future).

honestly I think ballet would be super fun to learn. But it also looks so difficult and I always felt like I had too big of a frame for such a delicate art. Even if I lost a bunch of weight and leaned up, I would probably still be quite bigger compared to most ballerinas.

/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 08:33 AM

yea, it was entertaining when I first found all this stuff, but it's kinda just gotten old. I agree we should have more sympathy for people who struggle romantically and sexually, but a lot of the rhetoric feels like they're just throwing themselves a constant pity party.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 08:29 AM

I fear the deranged. In all seriousness I'm not scared obv lol. But I do believe the lack of struggle and complacency is genuinely dangerous for society.

Yea I just feel the people who talk on the discussion posts are way more intense than the ones who hang in the daily. Most recent post prompted me. Like I'm trying to make reasonable arguments and discuss and immediately things get escalated to high heavens lol Generally I do find the posts pretty boring tbh.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 08:25 AM

lmao. Like spending 24/7 with a guy, learning his values and personalities, his quirks and habits, etc. isn't enough to determine whether or not he's a trustworthy person. I don't need to test my man to figure out that he's with me for me and not just my body. I love and trust him, and we know each other better than anyone else. I'm not worried about that because I know who he is as a person and he's proved time and time again how much he loves me for who I am. There's no reason to test him and frankly I consider the culture of testing our partners for things we could easily figure out through healthier avenues to be toxic. yes it is? lmao. There are no laws regulating abortion in Canada, and any abortions are covered by healthcare.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 03:13 AM

I think when it comes to a romantic relationship, it's meant to deter people from unhealthy co dependencies which is a valid concern. If you're truly an unhappy person without a romantic partner, that will inevitably put a lot of stress on whoever you eventually pair up with. I don't think the same applies to familial and friend relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 02:32 AM

So fucking inconsistent. Like, every Doctor who's ever performed an abortion should be in jail following that logic.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 12:26 AM

in Canada it's legal to abort at any time. Fucked up thing is that if the doctor fails the abortion and the baby comes out alive, the doctor is legally required to keep the infant alive (although I doubt they often follow that duty if they're willing to abort that late into the pregnancy). So not only is it legal to kill your 9 month baby in the womb, the government pays for it too. What a joy.

nah I was just very sheltered lol
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/22 11:14 PM

I think the key is if you notice a point where you could possibly take advantage, don't. I know when I was 18 I was very easy to take advantage of because I had literally no experience with men. That wasn't the case for many other 18 yr olds I knew. I think the relationship can be fine as long as you're not purposefully and maliciously taking advantage of any power imbalances that come up.

what's the difference?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/22 08:39 PM

not a dealbreaker. My taste in hair changes with the men I'm attracted to. When my man had long hair I was super into it and now that he's buzzed it I'm still super into it.

height is a preference, not a requirement. Yea I like my man to be tall, but it's more important that we get along well, share values, share goals, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/22 06:35 PM

Saying I'm into tall men doesn't mean I need the tallest man alive. I'm not gonna leave my man whom I'm perfectly happy with because some dude an inch taller showed interest.

oh well. Not my problem if they want to sleep with me, although I would be genuinely be surprised if that were the case. I only hang out with either of them when I'm with my bf or best friend (the guy in the relationship is dating her) anyways.

I'm not an American for one. I'm Canadian and I'm in college rn, so of course I don't have a shitton of capital. I'm not advocating for the American dream lol, not everyone will or needs to be a millionaire. But college is an investment. If your degree doesn't have the potential to pay off your debts or sustain you, you've made some poor financial decisions. You're still leagues ahead of the majority of the world but still trying to throw a pity party.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/22 05:22 PM

Why did you get a put yourself in debt for a college degree that evidently won't be enough for you to pay it off?

I'm not simping for the US, I just don't see why of all the countries of the world you're trying to pick on America. Quality of life in america is pretty damn good compared to the majority of the world.

eh. I feel like after a certain point you've gotta own your lack of experience and just learn to be assertive. Even if you haven't had any dating experience, at some point you should be able to learn how to stand up for yourself and shit. Before ppl flip out I think the same applies to women. Like I understand it for late teens and early twenties. A lot of people are less experienced at that age. By mid to late twenties you should have figured out some proper communication skills and know what y…

Well me and my partners are each other's firsts. But I also realize now that if I broke up with him in the future I would no longer be a virgin, so it would be quite hypocritical to expect only other virgins going forward. I wanted to wait until marriage but we both lacked the self-control lol. Just because someone had sex before doesn't mean he doesn't value it as and expression of love and intimacy. If the sex he had before took place in a committed relationship, he definitely could have still…

I think the real problem is people misassigning normal relational and social behaviour as gaslighting when it's not. Gaslighting is used to make the victim question reality and when done excessively and maliciously can really fuck with the victim's mind. I do believe people claim victimhood far more then they are actually legitimately are victimized.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/22 03:48 PM
2

I'm just talking about my man's sense of humour. I don't think legitimate gaslighting is normal emotional labour, that's a very weird idea honestly and I have no idea how you came to that conclusion. Gaslighting is kind of a buzzword now which is why I use it often when joking around, but that doesn't mean it's not a serious manipulation tactic many people use.

I'm a woman who cares about the n count of men I date. It's not because I'm worried thinking about the other women he's fucked, it's because he probably doesn't value sex in the same way I do if he's out there racking up the numbers.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/22 09:03 AM

idk just small everyday household shit. Sometimes he just does things in a very weird way, often times he just doesn't think to do certain stuff. Keep in mind we're both 20, so pretty young, and his mom had always kinda been the one to do a lot of the household shit for him. He also just doesn't really plan ahead and has a very poor memory so he'll sometimes do shit without thinking the entirety of his actions through or he'll forget stuff he needs to get done often. Things like sorting laundry,…

If they want more money, they can find a higher paying job. It has nothing to do with tipping and ppl shouldn't be getting worked up about customers being stingey with their tips. They agreed to a specific wage, and if that's not enough for them they need to find someone who will pay more or work their way up.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/22 08:16 AM

I kinda agree lol

/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/22 08:08 AM

idk I'm in Canada. They still get paid minimum wage regardless of if you tip or not here. The tip is just a bonus, not to mention sometimes it's shared among the staff (tho I hate places that do that, it's incredibly common). I've never heard of people getting paid less than minimum wage to account for tips, is it really that common in America?

yea the romantic in me thinks it would be a really cute and sweet present, and I'd be flattered the moment I received them. But I think after I've recieved them, I would probably just be like "well now what?". Like with chocolates or smthn wearable or whatever, the clear course of action is to eat it or wear it. But for flowers you just stick it in a vase and look at it. Plus they eventually die which is kinda sad.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/22 04:43 AM

yea but I don't want to line up new men lol. I take issue with the idea that all women are actively and purposefully keeping men on the backburner for when they get broken up with or get bored. I'm sure some women do it, but I don't think it's as common as rp thinks it is.

idk I use "bf", "partner", "my man" (which is my personal favourite) interchangeably. I think partner sounds more mature/official I guess 😅 and so I use it if I'm speaking with a more serious tone. And like, it's accurate. Me and him are partners in life, so why not? I hadn't honestly given the terminology much thought.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/22 04:14 AM

really depends on the person. My sister will still sometimes get left on read by her actual fiance simply because he's too busy doing actual productive shit to check his phone.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/22 04:11 AM

yea what I'm mainly against the idea that women literally keep backups on hand even when in a healthy committed relationship. Like I'm sure some women are shitty and it happens, but I don't keep men around me who are potential backup plans. Besides even if I broke up with my man now it would take a lot more than a dating profile (I don't see myself ever using OLD anyways) to find someone who I actually would be willing to get with. I'm rather picky about certain things.

I'm planning to wait to have kids till I'm at least 30 because I want to be a SAHM and need to get financially stable. Things are looking up and I've got 10 years to start sav…

yea my mother says she was glad she had us kids when she was older. She was 29 when she had my oldest sister and 36 when she had me (I'm the youngest). She felt it was a lot easier financially and she was a lot more mature and patient than she would have been if she was younger. She also felt like she got to make the most of her youth because she was free to travel around and experience things that are more difficult if you have children.

yea the reddit for my city is a completely different environment than the people you actually meet day to day.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/22 03:19 AM

yea that's a big issue with my bf. He had a house fire this past summer and it took so much for him to even accept simple shit like some of our old pillows and sheets because he hates charity. I was like "dude, your house burned down, if there's ever a time to accept charity it's now 😅"

I don't know how because I never had to do it obviously, I'm a woman. Social interaction and charisma does take some skill and strategy. Learning how to cultivate interest and attraction is just part of that, even if it means acting a bit different than you normally would. That's just part of socializing. You can bet I heightened some aspects of my character to appeal to the men I wanted. Such as making myself prettier, losing weight, acting more feminine, etc. I did that shit because I wanted t…

I kinda doubt they find you all that attractive then.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/22 12:06 AM

Idk. I can only speak from my experience, granted I have a rlly high sex drive for a woman. I think usually a woman will be able to meet your sex drive if she's really into you.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/22 12:03 AM

well the girl wouldn't have to be aloof, you would. Ideally it happens naturally. Like I was always more into my bf in the initial stages than he was into me. But idk how one would do it artificially.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/22 12:00 AM

at least $1.00 CAD
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/22 11:57 PM

i think so. You should act aloof to come extent, just to keep them on the hook. Go too far with it and they might just move on tho
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/22 11:57 PM

ah, I suppose that makes sense. phone calls are just so much more efficient tho. I usually call all my friends as opposed to texting. I pretty much use texting exclusively for solidifying hang-out plans and shit. edit: I also text for just checking in throughout the day, but calling is much preferable for convos.

/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/22 11:44 PM

the bleeding usually comes from the hymen tearing/stretching. Nothing to do with the woman being turned on. Also doesn't happen to everyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/22 11:43 PM

I don't use facebook. I use insta to keep track of what old friends who I don't keep in touch with are doing and shit. If they start annoying me I just delete them. Other people I follow on insta are artists and I use it for inspiration.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/22 11:40 PM

I feel like most women I know prefer phone calls. I always want call my man or meet in person (although he doesn't live super close so that makes things difficult) and he's always the one who insists on texting
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/22 11:39 PM

I don't think so. Hurt for maybe like 2 seconds and then we were on our way.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/22 11:19 PM

yea I've had far too many female friends complain about guys treating them like shit when all of the signs were there before anything ever happened. Not to mention continuing to see the guys even after these so called "awful experiences". Like it can't have been that bad if you're still meeting up with him for Netflix and Chill on Friday lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/22 11:18 PM

my parents argued a fair amount. Nothing violent or anything. Worst one I remember was my dad getting mad at my mom for how cluttered everything was and he started taking a bunch of shit from the kitchen and throwing it away, including me and my siblings photos they had hung on the wall for some reason. He eventually calmed down and picked everything up and put it back. Granted our house is pretty fucking cluttered and my dad has always preferred to be more minimalist whereas my mom is a borderl…

No. I disagree with most of feminisms current major talking points. I also believe in traditional family values and that women and men are better suited to different roles at work and in the home.

from my conversations with red pill men, the idea is more that you should approach every situation as prepared for the worst. The strategy is to assume AWALT even if it's not literally 100% of women, because that will better equip you for handling the assumed majority of bad women. Basically, there's no point holding out hope for the few good women that exist because you are unlikely to run into them, so it's better to be prepared for the bad women you certainly will run into.

Don't you think experience with real women in real social situations may be better practice than virtual reality. No offense because I don't know much about virtual reality, but it does come across as weird.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/22 04:59 AM

that's unfortunate. Before dating I usually spent my spare time with my siblings (whom I consider to be my closest friends). I won't deny getting a SO helps with loneliness, but it's also good to get a solid friend group. Having more friends and socializing also helps a lot when getting a gf I think.

I think most people desperate for sex are also desperate for emotional and romantic intimacy. Sex is just something that goes along with that. I do think not being able to have those kinds of relationships when it's something you deeply want can make life significantly more difficult.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/22 09:31 PM

maybe incels and blackpill, but red pillers are usually trying to improve themselves and appeal to women so women will want to sleep with them. Even then, not all incels are rapists or even entertain those ideas. I think you're talking about a very small and radical minority of men. Most men don't rape and most men don't advocate for it. I'd argue most men don't even have rape kinks. They generally want a girl who can't stop herself from hopping on their dick as opposed to a girl who's doing everything she can do get off of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/22 05:52 PM

Yea, I don't personally have any girl friends my age who have a had a relationship like that yet. But I wouldn't be surprised if I were to find one of them dating a much older man. Especially my friends who are less educated, dropped out of school, or are less financially stable, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/22 04:55 PM

I don't understand why either. Like especially after dating my partner, It became so clear that he just functions completely different from me. Yes some of it could be attributed to personality differences, but a lot is just guy stuff. Even looking at my brother, BILs, Dad, etc. they just think about and approach things completely differently.

yea. I'm 20 and sometimes when I get stressed about money and shit I sometimes think about how much easier it would have been to just find a sugar daddy or get with an older more established man. I can't say it's not tempting, and if I hadn't happened to find a wonderful guy right out of highschool, I probably would have been open to, or even purposely looked for older men.

Or do people think that friends are people that buy them gifts and shit and do tons of favors for them without ever asking for anything in return? yea. That's how I treat my friends at least. I love to buy my friends stuff and treat them because I care about them, not because I'm expecting them to pay it forward. I especially don't expect them to pay it forward with sex lol. I tend to think most men are attractive and most women are attractive. It takes a lot for me to think someone is ugly, and tbh I'm probably more harsh with women (probably cuz I'm just being catty lol). I may be an outlier with this perspective tho. In terms of that tik tok girls chart, I think both genders are distributed in the way she drew the "women" column.

As sad as it is for women who have grown up in bad home environments, I would consider a woman who has a bad relationship with their parents, particularly their dad, to be a red flag. It's not necessarily their fault or anything, I just think it has the potential to cause a lot of issues especially in dating and relationships to men. I also think not being able to maintain lasting friendships or having a series of short flings is a red flag. I think a woman who is open to casual sex, hookups, fw…

you could also say "I like his eyes, but his nose is too big". I agree with this. If you read my very first comment, I take issue with how and why men approach the relationship rather than just whether or not they're in an imbalanced power relationship. (I say "men" because that's usually what people are referring to, but could be women too ofc). Abuse is about the methods and actions of a person. Power imbalances open a door for those kinds of people to take advantage, but it doesn't mean that's the only way a relationship could form.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/22 03:00 PM

yea, I'm saying they feel good simply because they do, not because of the cravings or withdrawals. I'm sure if I did have cravings they'd feel even better, but I've always enjoyed them even from the first time I smoked.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/22 02:56 PM
1

Yea I know of plenty of healthy age gap relationships and I don't view men who get into the honestly and with good intentions as bad or anything. I think it's a very nuanced topic and I don't exactly advocate for making laws stricter surrounding it or anything. I'm just wary of them due to personal experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/22 02:54 PM
1

I never said the majority of age gap relationships were like that. I just said it happens and those are the men I take issue with. I agree with you that inexperience is the main problem, but age and experience are generally linked. I view huge age gaps as a yellow flag, not a blazing red one. I don't think age gap relationships are by nature wrong or immoral, I just think it could be an indicator of a power imbalance.

sluts with extreme insecurities tend to be willing to compromise on a lot of physical shit. Just be friends with her first and then subtly tear her down emotionally. I'm not going to continue to beat the dead horse because you seem to think the only age gap relationships that exist are young women chasing after the "cool, edgy, older men". what you call "they are naive and easy to manipulate" is more that "they're more attracted and more willing to compromise". No I call it naive and easy to manipulate cuz I've experienced thay shit and I was naive and easy to manipulate. I think for a lot of guys, they are into younger women simply because they think they're prettier. I have no issues with those men. I take issue with men who purposely prey on young women and girls because they know they are naive and easy to manipulate. Pursuing someone young because you think they are pretty is fine. Pursuing someone young because you think they would be easy to manipulate is not. There are men who exist in both categories.

And although I never "saw" my parents dating (obviously) they were engaged within the year and had no issues, despite my mother having significantly more dating experience. A mature adult dating for the first time is completely different than a very young adult or teenager dating for the first time.

/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/22 06:51 PM

Yea lying in general is looked down upon. Dishonesty will never be considered admirable behavior by the general public. people who lie don't do it so other people will think they're a good person, they do it to get what they want regardless of who they screw over along the way. Lie all you want, but don't try to pretend you don't deserve any backlash you get if you get found out.

I think it's abnormal, but I don't necessarily think it's bad. My sister didn't go on a date until around 24 and now she has a fiance. idk what to tell you. You're talking to a woman here and I know I was never too picky about that shit. Most women I know aren't that picky, and fpr the ones who have higher standards, looks, money, etc. is of higher importance than expecting a guy to be perfect socially. Perhaps you're just more awkward than you think you are. Most women expect men who aren't completely socially awkward, but there's no demand for absolute perfection.

they interest me, I just don't think it's important. I like that I can engage in debates without pissing myself off like politics does. I enjoy debating but I tend to get too invested when it's about topics that really matter to me. This is a good alternative because no matter what crazy ideas people have about dating, it doesn't really make a difference to me in the end. I mostly hang out in daily anyways so it's not like I debate too much to begin with.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/22 07:17 PM

I think I read through bits and pieces a while back. I don't have the time to really dive deep into research for a topic as unimportant as dating dynamics and sexual strategy. Maybe if I'm feeling curious I'll dive down the rabbit hole again sometime.

I actually believe God reveals himself to groups of people regardless of whether they've heard the exact story or not. Like Native groups could still have revelation from God and understand that they need to believe in him for salvation, without needing the story explained to them by Christians. What Christians sharing the gospel does is put it all into context. I don't believe anyone goes through life without a chance to learn about and take advantage of salvation, because I believe God is a fa…

I pick up new hobbies all the time so the list has gotten quite long now. Aside from what I consider my less productive hobbies (anime and video games) it's mostly crafty stuff, like crochet, knitting, embroidery, cross-stitch, sewing, drawing/painting, and I also enjoy baking. There are a few other things here and there I enjoy too. I also love swimming and skating, but those are rather seasonal hobbies.

I don't view men as a monolith so I can't pick out traits and plaster them on men as a whole. I don't really know how to answer this because for every man I've met who exhibits a trait I like there's probably a man who exhibits a total opposite trait that I don't like.

/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/22 10:58 PM

Depends on the relationship you have with your kids and where they live. I know neither me or any of my siblings would hesitate to help my parents out when they start needing it. They've done so much for us, of course we'd want to care for them when they're older. I think my biggest motivation for having a big family (aside from just being family oriented and loving a family environment) is that having a big family and kids helps a lot with loss. My dad for example has outlived both his parents …

We're both 20 and still live with our parents. Which is also why I was confused by his question. All I really pay for is like dates and sometimes other needs like clothes, shampoo and stuff like that. I think he was concerned cuz for the next four years while he's in college I'll really be the only one contributing financially to our future (we're saving for a house).

I'm pretty confident he's just feeling a bit emasculated. He worked for the first two years of dating and paid for practically everything we did together while saving for University. I say chad as a joke but he's genuinely a really wonderful guy, he also often checks in on me if I'm feeling happy and content with the relationship. This was just one of those moments, although I do find it funny the thought would even cross his mind. I genuinely don't have a lot of money lol

Yea. I think because they're so argument prone they're also very quick to forgive. Most of their communication is quick explosive arguments and then they make-up and work things out moments later. I think it's a lot easier for an older person with bad intentions to pressure a younger person into sex/sexual activities they don't want and then gaslight them about it being completely consensual and fine. People with less experience don't generally know how to reject strong advances and advocate for themselves as well as an older person, and after engaging sexually they may blame themselves or try to rationalize it. That's the main reason why large age gaps especially with very young partners…

Preparing for the worst when it comes to marriage meaning planning for how you'll handle the difficult times and how you'll approach situations without turning against each other. It's not just about trust, it's also about having the willingness to put in the work required to continue loving your partner and putting their needs before your own. If this approach to marriage is taken by both partners, you will be able to work through things. Most unsuccessful marriages happen due to poor choices e…

If you don't trust that things aren't gonna go south then don't get married. You clearly don't trust her enough for that. Weddings can be anything you want them to be. Invite who you want, doe whatever you want. It's a party to celebrate you and your bride, do whatever makes you happy.

Yeah but that suddenly sounds very selfish if he earns a lot more than you. It'a not selfish unless I'm taking advantage of it in an unfair way. With my husband whom I love, I wouldn't do that. I don't think so. I feel like I'm already pretty and even if I could be hotter, I want to be able to choose which features to improve. There's certain things about jow I look I really love and if I were to lose those for something "traditionally hotter", I don't think it's be worth it.

I would not split 50/50. I planned on shared finances and a joint bank account when I marry. Me and my future husband are a team. My money is his money and his money is my money regardless of income. When it comes to how much we spend and big purchases, that is something we would come together to agree on. Neither of us would get more or less say due to how much we make. not enough that your wife is gonna completely leave you in the dust. Imo if you're a guy who wants to go for younger women, you should probably be taking care of yourself better than other men who date within their age. Regardless, there are plenty of more low energy activities couples can do together to stay connected.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/22 08:06 AM

just be more energetic lol. My grandpa married my grandma when he was in his 30's and she was 19 (idc what ppl say about the age gap, everything turned out fine and they're both dead now anyways) and he whipped her into shape like hell. She lost 50 pounds in the first year of marriage cuz she moved from easy city life to a literal shack in the woods. She was the one who struggled to keep up with him lol. If you take care of yourself well, you can maintain energy even when older.

I genuinely believe my parents raised me as close to perfect as is possible and they definitely taught me not to abuse alcohol lol. None of my other siblings struggle with addictive behaviour to the degree I do (although my mother certainly does with some of her habits, none involving alcohol of course). I'm exactly the same way. When I drink I want to keep drinking till I'm puking. I still drink on occasion but I know eventually I'm going to have to phase it out of my life completely. I absolutely can't have alcohol in the house cuz I know I wouldn't have the self-control not to just drink myself to oblivion every time I want to relax. Pretty much the only times I drink now are when I'm at parties with close friends I trust and actually can just get drunk af.

Grew up in a family of six and almost all of us are very musical. I was so used to the piano constantly being played that when I was a kid I used to have sleepovers and my friends would complain about my sister playing the piano at 8 in the morning whereas I'd hardly notice it. My house is always quite lively and we constantly have visitors.

I had a similar assignment in my management class. Did it online as an accelerated summer course and our final assignment was a huge research paper. No one is that unavailable, and if they are, they don't have time to be dating. Yup. I'm only that unavailable because I'm dating. Granted there have been a few odd times in my life were everything just happens to land on the same month (such as performance season for my musical groups or tournaments for sports teams), so things can get quite busy.

fitness and physical health is important for mental health and general happiness (especially so for men imo due to testosterone and shit), but it's isn't all that's needed. It depends. I don't like the hassle of planning and going through with it all, buy generally once I get there I enjoy myself. My dad dislikes traveling. If you've got money to burn go right ahead. But for most average earners, it is generally smarter to be frugal. People aren't cheap because they're poor, they're poor because they aren't cheap.

My dad took me skiing for the first time a couple years ago. I sucked so so bad at first. I fell over a lot and had a really hard time getting back up. I went on the training hill over and over and when I went on the bigger hill I only did the easy routes. I even fell down right after getting off the ski lift and couldn't get up again (idk why it's so difficult, ski booth guy had to come out and help me up 😅). Just keep at it, if it's a skill you're really interested in learning, it'll be worth …

You really haven't seen any positive relationships? I look at my dad and he's the happiest when spending time with his wife and kids. Same goes for my grandparents when they were alive and lot of other relatives and family friends. Just because you haven't seen it go well, or just because you prefer the life of a bachelor, doesn't mean that's where every other guy is going to find the most fulfillment in life. Maybe surround yourself with better people. When I think of the marriages I've witness…

I think the fear comes from worrying about those who will abuse the ability to go in whatever washroom you want in spite of biological gender. There are places that are women only and men only, and when you start to blur the lines between men and women those spaces begin to disappear. I'm not really fearful and for most of my trans friends you wouldn't even notice if they used the bathroom of their identified gender. But I do understand why there's pushback and why people are protective of gende…

I can't say I wouldn't date someone like that, as there's a lot more I would take into account when dating someone, but I can say I'd probably be less attracted to him. Baldness and a weaker jawline is nbd, but I prefer someone taller than me. And masculine characteristics and being able to joke with my partner are pretty important to me. I'm not demanding anything, I'm just saying what I find attractive. Especially in the original comment, I was just responding to the characteristics described.…

I am a woman. Imo it's not sexual harrassment unless she makes it clear the intention is unwanted. If someone is balding, I prefer they shave it all off. The bald look works really well as long as the guy has the body to go with it. It lends itself to a tough and ultramasculine look. Personally I actually don't mind a man being fully bald, although it's not necessarily something I look for.
