That's because the state of this sub is an embarrassment. It's a shell of what it needs to be. It's more of an anti feminism, woman hating club rather than focusing on things like this that matter.

Have you had any negative reactions from women from it?

The fact it's not a law in all states already really disappoints me.

It's a business move. Men want to be at bars where women are. If a bar has a "ladies night" then they're hoping those ladies will keep returning. More ladies at a bar will generally mean an increase in male traffic too. Key to a successful bar: make women feel welcome and comfortable, more women will attend, men see a higher female crowd at a bar, more men will want to be around this female heavy crowd.

I don't go around SRS. Its a place that celebrates racism and sexism. I won't even waste my time with that horrid place.

"I'm anti sexist against men... Lol sexism against women is funny" if at any point you wonder why no one takes you seriously, think back to this moment and realize this is why.

Do you understand why I haven't? Because I haven't seen any one on one of the feminist subs use a gendered slur against men. This is supposed to be a sub against sexism for the love of god.

Historical context. Calling some one a "nigger" has been historically used to put down an entire group of people. Yes, we are moving past this period and it used much more casually. But it still cuts deep to a lot of people. "Bitch" is the same way.

Ok, if you hate feminists then why are you lowering yourself to their grounds? It doesn't even matter what they're doing. MRA is independent of the fem movement. If you're fighting a war against feminists, you're fighting the wrong person. Fight society which just gave this horrid person such a light sentence. Second, you're saying you support sexism against men but if they deserve it? What kind of double standard is that? You can't pick and choose which battles you want to fight. Either sexism …

It's more of context in my opinion. If you claim to be against sexism against men, you should also be against sexism against women also. I'm not saying you should crusade for women, but at the very least understand that using gendered insults against women is still sexist. Just reverse the rolls for a second. An angry feminist calls you "a selfish dick" you respond with "bitch" then suddenly she cries sexism. But wait she just used a gendered slur against you, that's hypocritical. That's my poin…

This sub is supposed to be fighting sexism against men. If you then use sexism against women it makes you look hypocritical. Don't use sexism against men OR women.

Listen please, every one agrees she's a monster. She should be punished harshly for what she has done. But when you attempt to fight sexism while using sexism it's counter active. Call her a monster, savage, selfish human being. That's ok. But don't bring her sex into this, it's a bit hypocritical, no offense.

He's not arguing that the woman was a "fine outstanding female citizen" he's just pointing out that "bitch" was used as a gendered slur. His point is that if you want to fight sexism against men, you absolutely cannot perpetuate it against women.

That's absurd. The majority of homeless people are men, yet they turn away the largest demographic? Thanks for the heads up on United Way.

There is no real answer here. This has zero to do with men's rights. This subs just jumps at the chance to circle jerk to anti fem news.

This is why affirmative action is there in the first place. I'm not saying it's justified, but when society feels group A has a generally harder time they are considered oppressed so their oppression is later compensated for. But like many things in life affirmative action is not black and white.

Not only that, a fem site could take stuff from the red pill and scream "hey look, those guys are for men's rights and they're extremely sexist!"

Well then isn't every one nitpicking then? This graph isn't to say "women have it easy, men have it bad" it's to say "men suffer also, just in different ways"

I hate how half the comments in this sub are "DAE FEMINISM BAD". If we want to be taken seriously, let's break the circle jerk and actually post content and discuss things that actually matter.

What exactly is meant by "man up" in this situation? Retaliate against a woman, that'd almost certainly lead to jail time. Deal with the abuse, that's an absurd thing to say to some one. I'm guessing what most people mean by "man up" is simply "don't get abused in the first place".

Not saying I don't believe it, but saying "some guy on reddit said..." Isnt a reliable source. But /u/JaydenPope provided 2 reliable sources.

No one is saying it's the most important issue for men, but just because there's more pressing issues doesn't mean that it should be completely ignored. "Hey guys, lets not even care about drones, Syria, or the NSA because the economy is still the biggest fish to fry"

I think it's a numbers game. Almost all of us hate those... Guys at the "manhood" academy, but I'm sure with enough posts eventually one or two easily brainwashed guys will see that and say "hey yeah! I agree!".

That's correct there's not true equivalent to Barbie, but when I was younger I suffered from poor body image because I thought women ONLY wanted the He-man type.
/r/MensRights04/08/13 06:44 AM

It's not purely about He-Man. It's about both genders being subjected to unrealistic standards of beauty.

I see your point, and I agree that this is a giant pile of bull shit. But when you get older youll find your body can't keep up with the stress of work like when you were young.

I've met 2 women that call themselves feminists. Amanda and holly. Amanda truly has equality at her core beliefs and is concerned about men's issues as well. Holly is this stereotype. I was talking to her about equality and she actually said women are above men. She wants to be equal in some areas and not so equal in other areas.

I concluded as much. I was wanting some one to do some detective work. Thanks. This sub taking trolls as serious is whats leading to it's down slide.

I had my pitchfork all kinds of ready, then I realized "hmmm this seems a little too absurd to be true" Edit: the more I think about this, the more it pisses me off. It takes spotlight off legit inequalities. Not only that it takes credit away from men's rights advocates in general.

I do this a lot. Whenever some one says an absolute, for some reason my brain tries to find a way around it, such as this. I don't think he's sarcastic or a troll. Just stubborn as shit.

I'm not saying it is a good excuse, but it still might have had an affect on the judge. I think the judge needs to explain his reason for the sentence in a written document.

I'm really wondering the same thing. Like it's almost at the point where sexism isn't a good enough answer. Maybe the pregnancy had an effect?

Isn't there term maximums AND minimums!? She shot and killed a man over a fucking credit card! The system is beyond broke.

I say we take this a step further. Asian people take a higher tax rate, then white, then Latino. That way every one is equal. (Sounds much more absurd when you throw this in)

You really make the best points on this entire post. I'm really considering pulling this down, that way it's not just some rabble rousing that I caused by accident.

I never made the claim of knowing these people. I simply saw this pop up, it angered me, this seems like it fits in this sub. I really wanted to know if there was an actual way of preventing this. Edit: and by pop up, I meant some one shared this on FB.

I see what you mean about being a deadbeat, and that part makes sense. I can't really comment on how great/ terrible of a father he is. Though my friends parents went through a divorce and she's really squeezing every penny she can out of him. It's not totally far fetched to believe at least SOME women abuse this system. Maybe a solution is that a parent is given the option of sending cash or purchasing items such as clothes or food instead. Like a parent buys 60 on clothes, 60 on food, 60 on x …

Holy shit. You just said it perfectly "some crazy nightmare". It's got to be one of the most frustrating things to have happen, because there's almost no way he can win, only break even. Those who argue "men aren't oppressed in society" clearly have never been an ex husband going through divorce.

I get the point of child support, but is there any real solution to prevent this kind of thing?

Actually in jr high I used to be ridiculously skinny and would wear baggy clothes to hide how skinny I was just because I thought women ONLY like meatheads. I was right in my shame though. I should have suffered to the point of me taking roids to please women. Damn shame I broke out of that mentality.

Equality in terms of rights. But yes as you said men are physically stronger. The only other difference is that women typically feel more emotion. Edit: you people severely misunderstood me. I'm not saying we are emotionless robots. Of course we feel. This is more what I was talking about http://m.psychologytoday.com/blog/the-brain-and-emotional-intelligence/201104/are-women-more-emotionally-intelligent-men
