I’m not sure how old you are, but I went to my doctor at 25 and he refused to do it or give me a referral. He said I was too young and that there were plenty of less permanent alternatives available. I probably could have looked around for someone who would have done it, but it sounded like it was going to be a hassle so I didn’t pursue it any further. If anything, not having it done makes me question my sexual partners more than I probably would if I had gotten a vasectomy so in a way I’m glad …

That’s because society expects you to get married at 20, have 2.3 kids by 30, live out another 40-50 years of ‘bliss’, and then die. All this is supposed to happen with ONE person. Anything to the contrary is seen as strange even though I think it’s a boring way to live a life, but to each his own.

You doubt you’ll ever be back? I would absolutely never go back to a store where the police were called. Hell, I’d spend my free time out front with a sign letting everyone know how shitty they are.

I honestly can’t think of anything I couldn’t deal with. I’ve been fortunate to have good health and the few times I’ve been sick I’ve been able to muster through it. If it did happen though I’d have options. My local grocery store offers delivery and a house cleaner to keep the place tidy would probably be all I’d need. It’s surprisingly simple to be self sufficient and amazingly freeing. Just make sure you’ve planned for the worst.

I’ve been living alone for the last 7 years and have no problem. I make sure to keep a healthy retirement plan so that if I become unable to work or care for myself I can pay to have it done for me. Not really scary when you plan for it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
