Dunno about that. I joke about being snack size and I’m 5ft and sub 100lbs. Sometimes people are just having a giggle.

This is depressingly accurate in my experience. My one friend and I got diagnosed with cancer within months of each other (completely unrelated, just shitty luck). Her ex didn’t even make it to the first chemo before running off with the office slut. My SO went through the entire process with me, he held my hand through every treatment, every scan and every doctors appointment. I’m in complete remission, but it was an incredibly rough time. I would walk through fire for that man, after wrestling…

Height is a weird thing though. I’ve noticed that I am particularly useless at guessing people’s heights. People are either much taller than me (5ft, so almost everyone) or slightly taller than me (everyone else). The hand full of times that I met someone who was the same height as me really confused me because it was so unusual. Lord knows what will happen if I ever meet a guy shorter than me. I have absolutely no clue how any of that would translate into proper measurements.

Exactly! I ended a relationship quite unceremoniously after my boyfriend at the time harangued me about the sugar content in my juice. Every trip away was preceded by him bulking and cutting obsessively so that he’d look ripped in pictures. Give me a bit of fluff and padding coupled with a zest for life over someone who is that image obsessed any day.

Meh, once you get to know someone the body type really isn’t that much of an issue. I wouldn’t date someone super unfit and overweight, but this is more due to conflicting lifestyles. I love being active and moving, so someone who isn’t up for that would have a rough time. I’m a bit of a hypocrite though. Despite spending a lot of time either in the gym or out running, I’m vaguely suspicious of guys who are ridiculously ripped. I like a guy’s body to be a byproduct of an active lifestyle. Not a …

Female dating strategy is one of the most depressing empty subreddits that I’ve had the misfortune of stumbling across. I weep for humanity if that’s the way we’re heading as a society. FDS and the Red Pill are two sides of the same coin and both suck.

When I found myself back in the dating pool after my divorce, I just put all my cards on the table. Good of bad. I had honest, frank discussions with potential suitors etc. Guys were surprisingly open to the idea and were upfront and honest from their side as well. When I started spending time with my boyfriend and things started developing, I straight up told him I really liked him and I’d like to give it a go. We both felt the same way and became exclusive pretty early on. Because we’d never re…

I tend to like my men on the geekier end of the spectrum. Not necessarily in the newly popular pop culture way (my boyfriend wouldn’t recognize a pop culture reference if it bit him, but can spend hours sharing his knowledge on various subjects) I love guys who are passionate about what they do (work, hobbies etc) and I’ve found that, that passion often translates to other areas. What else? Active, outdoorsy, generally on the taller side and almost exclusively with dark hair. Never had any probl…

Nope, approaching people is hella scary, so hats off to them. I usually reject them as nicely as I can and probably buy them a shot if we’re out somewhere.

Bingo! Head games and happy relationships make for very uncomfortable bed partners.

In my personal experience, the exact opposite is true. I’m guessing there is some leeway if you’re punching above your weight or if your ideal match is into mind games. I wouldn’t have the first clue about how to date someone where every text, every contact is littered with subtext and you’re bound by some arbitrary rules that the other person has created in their mind. Been with my bf for just over a year and from the very beginning we were both very honest and upfront about our intentions, fee…

Sex with someone that you have an emotional connection to is infinitely better than casual sex. It’s partially true that the initial sexual frenzy boosts that bond, but you have to have feelings for that person already. And no, you do not get attached to every sexy person in your surroundings, that’s just sad. Any reasonably attractive person regularly has other attractive people hitting on them. Do you honestly believe they bond with all of them? They don’t, not even close.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
