totally. There's value in vibing with a woman who can relate to you on a cultural level.

I'm 50 and doing almost all of this. I just can't seem to get comfortable hitting on young women without feeling like a creeper. Sadly, if they're younger than 40 I'm feeling it. It's like I don't see any connection socially because they come across as immature and less refined. But their bodies..... oh god.....

No, I hear that can be creepy.

Bravo! Thanks for posting this here, this sub needs a wake up call and this might be it. Yeah, pussy is great, but there are other things too. It should be abundant as a BY-PRODUCT of a well executed life, not the "reason to be".

OK, I'm not in that one lol. Help me understand more. Is it a group with 1 woman and all dudes? Or a mix, with sexual tension? And for making plans... I can't imagine being in a group where someone is like "hey Sheila, imma come over tonight and bang ya". Does everybody else lol at that text?

This writing is shit! Clean it up bro, because it's an excellent message and there's great imagery and stories. I was super interested in this part but couldn't make sense of it: TRUTH 2: Groups have text-groups where they all contribute random dumb shit and organize meetups. But what most of you guys with 'friends that are girls' don't know is that there are ALWAYS AT LEAST 2 TEXT-GROUPS. The funny official one, and the sexual one. The one where 'innocent' girls just trying to be a bro flirt an…

Doesn't that come across to her as you being butthurt over something but not telling her what it was? Does she have to guess what she did wrong and only until then you open up about it? I overthink this shit....

I will, thanks! I've listened to Models a few times, greats stuff. BTW, I stopped watching porn last year, I know it's no bueno.

Every woman has the potential to be a whore...even your mother. Don't believe me? Ask your dad. This had me laughing good! I'd like to add my own issue with this topic. I know I need to work on this, but I can't seem to let go of the disgust I feel towards women who are "well known". I guess it might come from a fear of STDs, or something. Oddly enough, I like to watch gang bang porn, just don't wanna be the dude having to do it LOL.

Tell us more about the writing part. And does it matter if it's written in freehand or on a computer?

Texting apps now have the ability to schedule texts. Use this to your advantage. If you want to say "Hey, I saw a dog with sunglasses" 4 days from now, you can schedule the text and then move on with your best life, not counting the days until you think you should text again.

Haha, I bet you have to look up fungible now. No, but I had to look up insouciant Good post, interesting ideas. Makes me think of people who feel they know what war is like because they watched some good war movies, but the dudes who have seen actual combat know what it's really like.

Since you get to chose what women to go after you have more freedom of choosing your partner, since most women don't go after men they are stuck with whoever decides they are attractive enough to approch them. This is a great perspective I never really noticed before. Well said.
/r/TheRedPill26/04/21 06:05 PM

Both OP's write up and yours are great. The perspectives alone, and written as well as the have, are eye opening, regardless of which one is "right" (alas, we'll never really know). I would say that this kind of analysis will only benefit those guys who are sufficiently self aware of their feelings during these encounters. The rest will merely be examples of how this phenomenon plays out in the gritty, uber-complex thing we call reality.

True story I stopped lifting 2 years ago and started cycling. My cardio is through the roof, my legs are chiseled and solid, and I'm pretty cut, but.... I've lost upper body strength. Riding 6,000 miles (~10000km) a year will do that. Gonna get back into upper body work with calisthenics to keep the "athletic build" on point for this 48yo. Don't give a fuck if I'm not a beefcake.

I resumed a meditation practice after at least a year off. Wow, it has made a noticeable difference in my mood swings, attention, self confidence, and general state. Just 10 minutes in the morning, but consistently. I highly recommend the "Waking Up" app from Sam Harris. He removes the dubious spiritual aspects attached to meditation and hones in on the neurological side of things. I'm 43 hours into a 60 hour fast and I am crushing it! I was so doubtful that I'd be able to do this, but I attribu…

How would one master their "violent" capabilities in a civil society?
/r/TheRedPill17/02/20 12:50 AM

As a guy 2 years into a divorce w/ 16 years of marriage, I can relate to most of this! I might add, for getting fit, if you enjoy cycling, you can find very good friends in this sport that keep you motivated, fit, and can talk about shit on rides together. It's a great way to connect with men who value fitness. The rest of the post that I didn't relate to I will use as guidance. Thanks! It's great having resources like TRP to guide us dudes back on the dating scene.

In what type of society would women be free to show their real true selves to their husbands, LTR's? How would it be different than what we've got now?
/r/TheRedPill25/04/19 11:30 PM

Brilliant! This really breaks down the imperatives nicely. But this theory only seems to work with civilized humans. For example, wouldn't barbarians simply rape the women they desired, effectively breaking down their 'gate'? If so, it stands that a social dynamic and/or a society is necessary for this theory to work. Cool ideas though!

Right? I guess I'd respond, what is the alternative then to capitalism in order to reduce consumerism (and please don't say Venezuela)?

Does your body respond differently to sugars found in natural foods vs. refined sugar (cane, maple syrup, coconut sugar, etc)? Are these 'ok' in your opinion? Fruits, carrots, corn have sugar in them.

I'm all for healthy masturbation, as he outlines in the book, since it's better than the porn-addicted type. However, I think we should call a spade a spade: masturbation is the result of failing to attract women into your life.

I used to run. Felt great but I was concerned about my joints. Now I cycle and it's awesome.

Good points, I think you're right. I also know I've got way better game (and success) with less attractive women and married women. The attractive ones intimidate me because of how I respond to them. I see myself pedesalizing them and wanting to please them because of fear of them walking away. Pathetic, I know, but my history is like that. Working on the IDGAF without feeling sorry for them (I'm an empathetic dude). Thanks for the tips!

I'm 46 but haven't figured out the plate spinning yet. Only been dating for 20 months or so (got divorced). Seems like all the women I get with want more than casual, so leave when they don't get what they want.

Another option is to 'go gay'. That opens up a whole new set of considerations between the couple.

I think this should be sidebar material. IMO it's a healthier take on the whole AWALT concept and the negative side that can dominate it. The positive side of this perspective is being at peace with it and enjoying it for what it is. Great post.

Interesting last paragraph there. Never heard that as a theory posited before. I read all your comments here; sorry you had to endure all that. Choose what makes you happy.

Can you elaborate on the distinction you draw between going raw and using a condom? It seems like the latter was being diminished and not as much of an 'accomplishment' as the former.

When you find a woman who you are attracted to, its natural to want to always be trying to talk to her and be around her. It's easy to pick up the phone and text her. Don't. See how far you can make it without communicating with her. Great formula for not getting any. I'm too good at this; then never call back.

But so vilified has the scapegoat become, in popular imagination, that rational discussion of the real problem is no longer possible. Didn't these people read Harry Potter? "He who must not be named."

So realistically, the power they have is only as far as the HR department can go? In other words, women outside my organization, such as nearby businesses, lose this power over me since they are in a different company.

I work for a 10k employee company. Our office, one of several, has about 2k employees in it. There are many hot girls in different departments than me. Why would it be risky to date them? Especially since I don't work in management.

Good write up. I was reading about this theory somewhere but I can't recall. It had to do with the innovators and bullshit-less business builders basically founding companies, letting them grow, and when the bureaucracy gets to a tipping point, the talent leaves to move onto the next project.

There should be a special category for women who are fat, but hot. Meaning, they would be smoking hot if they lost weight.

It's not what she said with her mouth, it was more her body language. She was brief and curt, and didn't hold eye contact at all. Kind of like she was distracted. No Smiles. In retrospect, it's all cringe worthy, but we're cool now. Talked to her today in fact.

OK, gneiss comment, lol. That's some really solid Schist! But seriously, good to read as I'm in the same boat (mid 40's, gaming a 20 something). In fact, we have a date for tomorrow and I'll admit I'm a bit concerned how to play the evening. Half my age, but the attraction is real.

Dude, I approached a girl at the gym while she was on the inner thigh machine. In resting position, her legs were spread wide. Honestly I didn't even think about it (my ASD moment lol). Anyway, the interaction was kind of tense and brief. Like a week later, she approached me at told me she was upset by the interaction, and this is when the awkwardness of it really sank in. Lesson learned: situational awareness is super important on an approach, consider it when deciding the approach.

44 yo 185, 6ft tall, been in a dead marriage for years while I was BP. Started self improvement 2.5 years ago, found RP a little after that. Now I'm working through the legal matters in my divorce and I'm finally in shape (abs FTW), lift/run 5x per week, and I'm into health and wellness coaching because I want to support and share wellness with others. In the last month have been with 3 women, all milfs: 28, 44, 47. I'm amazed at how receptive women are to me now. One (47) was literally giggling…

This is a great outlook. It's so important to stay positive lest you fall into the abyss of anger and resentment. You will attract others like that and next thing you know you're an unhappy douche with a bad frame. Acceptance is the key to inner peace. Thanks brotha!

I'm currently trying to close on a millennial and all she wants to do is text. Since we are not proximate to each other, it seems like a logical way to communicate since calling is not in the cards due to her beta husband. I'm torn between trying to keep her interested and not communicating too much. I've been good at keeping things light, funny, and/or sexual but she keeps the texts coming. If I stop now and reduce my engagement to the levels in this post, she'd see it as a drastic personality …

Dude, I give you big props. You're post is a condensed version of my 20 year marriage that is now ending. You are doing great; I discovered what you have found when I was 42! Right there with you man. You penned my would-be comment. I think the best approach to overcome this sort of doubt is to be more mindful of not only you surroundings, but your inner dialog about how you will respond if certain situations come up.

Agreed! I found it to be a waste of time and effort. I'd match and get no response or very little. Personally, I like the challenge of real-world game better. Love, is working through the lows and highs. I'm curious to know how the limits of working through the 'lows' determines the magnitude of the love felt. Would someone working through 'lows' such as cheating, disrespect, abuse mean they are 'super duper' in love? Conversely, would someone in love but who exits the relationship after suffering through the 'low' of not getting a hug not really be in love? To what degree of failure can the relationship withstand before the love disappears or is no l…

How does one find 'men's rights attorneys' ? Are they advertised as such?

There's also the male-hamstering that happens "Aw, she's so hot, I bet guys are always hitting on her. I wont bother her then." This is very cringe-worthy, but hell, I've done it. Its a sure fire way to make yourself feel good about being a coward.

As I mentioned already, it triggered serious dread and she asked that I stop and she said she will try to make things better. This worked for a few months, but we reverted back to what was before. I believe we're too far gone for recovery, in fact, I don't want recovery at this point. To have it revert yet again would be more time spent on a failed relationship.

Sounds like your goal is to correct the situation. Good luck, I mean it, and getting the attention from others is great in so many ways. I, however, am trying to get my shit together enough to file for the big D.

See, this shit would fly like a lead kite if you were not married w/ kids. Since the stakes are so high, she can get away with this and not feel any dread. I gave my wife some dread game and it really got her attention and "worked" (not in the long run). You might want to give it a go. The dread I gave her was telling her I wanted an open marriage because things suck and that I've already been on some no-sex dates already.

I'm with you bro, but more. I've come to the realization that the relationship is so damaged after this type of behavior that it's not salvageable. End it. It's very hard for me because of children, so hopefully you will have it easier.

Keep in mind OP is basing this on a huge population to work off of. NYC? Damn, that and LA are probably the tinder capitals of the world. In Cleveland or Modesto you might have to cast a wider net to match on tinder.

After reading this post yesterday I took one this morning after a 5k run. Damn. I got use to it! And it cooled me off really well ( I go to a white collar job after my workouts, so I try not to be a sweaty mess). I'm gonna try this from now on, I'm intrigued.

Stayed because we have children and I thought it was the right the to do... but I can't put my life on hold anymore and we're not showing them an example of a healthy relationship. See, folks? She just isn't haaaaaaaapy. Sufficient justification for bulldozing a marriage and children, right? Actually this is exactly what I'm going through now. The shoe is on the other foot and I can't stand to be with her anymore. Be careful kids: swallowing the red pill will change your life.

learn correct form This is the truth. I was practicing squat form with just the bar last weekend. I rounded my lumbar (aka butt tucking) and I pulled my lower back. Paying for it now. Learn proper form and stop when fatigue sets in.

Get a vasectomy and don't tell. This. Scheduling mine soon. 3 kids is enough, and the soon to be ex-wife doesn't want me to get one lol. Thing is, on Tinder and Bumble all I tend to match with are single mothers. Damn, met up with one and she was DTF but also wanted exclusivity if we were to do it. Couldn't commit so no go. Long story short: if you're a divorced dad in his 40's be prepared for lots of available single moms and few women with no kids.

Lol, sounds like a book Scott Adams would write. Thanks for the tips; I like how you broke it down. Every since I can remember I've had a visceral fear of embarrassment, and it drives me nuts. It's like a default behavior I have to actively suppress.

Great post. I've started mindfulness meditation about a month ago. I do 10 minute sessions before bed. So far I've noticed that I can see myself in life from a different perspective, which feels empowering to me. It's as if I can view myself much like some video games work; from the perspective of behind and above the player. Meditation can have strange effects too. One time after my 10 minute session I broke down into a full on sobbing/crying mess. It was odd to say the least.

OP, how do you handle name management? I've got a bad habit of instantly forgetting names, which makes me less confident to talk to the same person later. It kills me because I already have an established interaction and this sabotages it.

Love this post. This is huge too: Also when you first meet someone talk to them as if you've know them for a while. I totally agree and this works amazingly well to calm yourself down. It actually tricks you into thinking you're talking to someone you know already.

I think of the moment you might engage with someone and make eye contact, but you avert your eyes out of an emotional reaction. Emotions of a generally lower confidence level will cause this. Perceived low value, shyness, embarrassment, etc. In a nut shell, its when your frame collapses (or was never there). emotional flinch = overt frame collapse

You lift? Did you start by benching 225 your first time? Deadlift 135? No, you started small and worked your way up. The same is true with social interaction. Talk to everyone, at the grocery store, gas station. Don't talk robotic, be friendly and connect on a human level, however brief the encounter may be. Look people in the eyes, and don't ever emotionally flinch. Experiment, see if you can draw out an encounter just for the hell of it. It's actually fun. Work your way up, you will be more co…

I hear this term 'mindful' and 'mindfulness' use a lot. Especially from SJWs and the like (not that I want to taint the term). Does it basically mean 'self awareness' and 'situational awareness' combined?

Thanks, would you say this comes naturally after meditating for a while (say, a month, or more)? Or do you have to remind yourself to use this tool during an interaction for it to 'kick in'?

what is the connection between meditation and being more aware of other's emotional states? Is it the ability to view your interaction from almost a 3rd person's POV and slow time down, while still presenting yourself as a normal, functioning person?

The edge. You live life on the edge. Not in some cheesy hair-band rock song way, but in the fact that you don't hide. Instead, you come up to the edge of your reality, away from the shadows of your thoughts and fears, and you commit. Come what may, fail fast, then learn. This is what it means to live and learn and be free from fear and regret. u/Bulk_king11 has it right: there is no formula, no manual. If there was, it would be priced into the trade. If this guy only knew what he could do. It would be a great project. He should start lifting hard core, upping his social game, and get some new clothes. Once he starts hitting Tinder and POF and starts looking more alpha, his wife would notice. Then she'd be begging for him while he's about to oblige some carousel riders. Hell, he might even be able to get a threesome with his wife and another bitch. If only he'd wake up to TRP.

Yeah, this is very informative. In my BP upbringing, this explanation was never told to me. This is also a vehicle to dispense dread. If this arrangement is not acknowledged, then dread would be viewed as a breach of the BP version of this agreement. Under RP thinking, this agreement is supported by an indirect application of dread (or acceptance of non-monogamy).

There's the world you would want to live in (where women communicate clearly and deliberately) and there's reality (where women communicate with emotional conviction, innuendo, and some clearly and deliberately). Having 'emotional intelligence' is yet another tool to deal with the reality of the situation, whether it's favorable or not. I think it's a valuable skill to have.
