I’m in engineering and there is still a staggering gender bias, and it’s easy to see why when we’re discouraged from “more technical” fields in various ways from a young age. I clarified what I meant by women’s rights already. Equality, as in I’d like to see more women in positions and jobs like mine (engineering). Personally I believe this needs to start with young girls, which is why I support and volunteer in programs for young girls in STEM. We’re often discouraged from these things by media and society from a young age and I’m working against that.
