You can get married with a ring and ceremony and everything and live with your wife without actually being legally married. Its not for everybody but marriage is an important institution primarily for raising healthy children with good values. If you're not legally married you can't actually have the financial consequences of divorce.

The paper really was garbage, I would suggest he take steps to improve as a writer. The first thing he should learn is to not start an essay with "First off,...". And he makes big claims with no citations. But beyond that he should just agree with his teachers feminist views on the essay. If it gets him an A who cares, he won't be in school forever.

Note to all the guys out there, this is really a no brainer. At university, you always write and do what the professor wants to hear. Is your professor socialist? Write as if you are. If they are feminist, write like one. The biggest lie of college is that you actually get to think for yourself. College is not the time to take a stand. When you graduate with a good job and start making money then its another story. College is a game and you broke one of the first rules.
