I wish you well my friend. There comes a point where you just have to prioritize yourself.

Yes it does. But they act in different ways. Intimate bonding, or so called "romantic" love, is much more immediate in women than it is in men. However, for women it is always transactional, conditional and transient. For men, once that bonding has reached optimal level, it is much more long lasting. The only transaction is that women are capable of being faithful and caring. The only condition is that sexual attraction is present. If you want to know what conditions and transactions women want,…

I like that quote but if I were to amend it I would say "the winning move is to play your own game".

I do. Don't get into them if at all possible. I realise that this is of no use to those that are currently in them but you can still do things to minimize your risk of exposure. I cannot be more specific on here for obvious reasons, but I would say, based on female psychology of treating so called "romantic" love as being conditional, transactional and transient, you should too. Hope for the best but plan for the worst. Assume that your LTR will end at some point, and consider how you can protec…

I'm definitely not original. Human behaviour has existed for thousands of years and has been embraced by academia for at least a hundred plus years. I make no apology for being synchronized with the MGTOW lifestyle, I think it is a natural response to recent sociological changes. But why would you question my credentials of being a retired psychologist? I mean, I don't really care what you think, I just don't get your logic.

It sounds like he is fearful of his emotions for some reason. Not uncommon in men.

Yes. I think you've got it. Men need physical closeness, particularly sexual contact in order to intimately bond with a mate. By bonding I mean feelings of love although the concept of romantic love is complicated and quite different for men and women.

I heard the phrase MGTOW a couple of years ago from my nephew. I have to say, some young men are learning and adapting to the contemporary social circumstances that they find themselves in.

I agree. Our "gut" is our unconscious mind talking to us.

Yeah, that's cool, if it's what you want. I'm not here to preach my lifestyle to anyone. Just be aware of female psychology. Educate yourself. And also be aware of the prevailing sociological circumstances that we, as men, find ourselves in. Statistically, you will be screwed if things go wrong. Good luck and I hope that you are one of the lucky ones.

I get it man. Been there, done that. Evolutionary psychology teaches us that men bond physically, women bond emotionally. Men need that sexual connection, women need to feel wanted. The trouble with that is women are emotional beings and therefore put emotional reasons for having sex. Think about it. With all the crap that life throws at you there is always a perceived emotional reason not to have sex. I'm feeling this or that, and therefore I don't feel connected to you at the moment. And you k…

Thank you. I personally know the loss of being able to be the father I want to be. God bless you, and all of us that feel that most profound of losses.

Man, so sorry to hear that. It is kinda why I felt compelled to post. I get what you are saying about being a father and having kids, after all, we are evolutionarily programmed to procreate right? But nothing happens in a vacuum. Right now, in the world we live in, it is not conducive. Evolutionary psychology also teaches us to that our primary responsibility is to ourselves. You could be the best father that you could be, and with society being the way it is, still lose out. What's more, your …
