Sorry for missing that.

While I understand where you are coming from (I went through a horrendous phase reading Harlequin and Harlequin-like books). Now that my tastes have improved, there are books which have sexually explicit scenes tied into the plot which wouldn't work without it. By themselves it would constitute erotica, but the effect of the scene is (emotionally) intensified by the plot.

The analogy doesn't make sense. Parenting is a job - even though it is not a conventional one that is 'paid'. Receiving welfare for not having enough money to raise children does not make raising children a job - that money is for the children and less about the parent. My point with my personal experience is that a. parenting is a job (hence SAHMs, and SAHFs) and b. that the welfare system is flawed and sometimes people who stay on welfare do so because they can't get a stable/better job that p…

Those are also dangerous. And have you ever read accounts of how long and painful abortions from that route are? When Abortion Was Illegal: Untold Stories (1992)

Then RPers should make a separate term for that. The term single mothers does not just refer to the type you've mentioned but also those who actually take care of their kids and work and/or study for better qualifications.

Even so, parenting is just as valid a job as any other or else there would be no SAHMs or SAHFs. When my mother was working we actually had less money coming into our household because her job (given to her by the government, and because she was unable to get a better job with her RN qualifications) as a in house helper for the elderly cost more than what she got in pay (after taxes).

That's what my mum did. She is also independently wealthy and didn't want to chance marrying another d-bag who would use her money or steal our (her kids') inheritances.

I just explained the objectification which contradicts feminism. His comments are creepy because he is sexualizing his own daughter's appearance. Just because Trump made the comments does not negate those facts. I may be obnoxious, but at least I'm not willfully blind.

How would you know if the man is unattractive? All the anecdotes here don't mention the 'attractiveness level' of the man/men who catcalled them.

I'll acknowledge that sexual freedom is a part of feminism. However his comments about Ivanka are undeniably creepy and while they seem to be attempts at complimenting her, are still objectifying: "Yeah, Ivanka's really something, and what a beauty, that one. If I weren't happily married and, ya know, her father..." "Whilst I should not encourage lascivious comments about my daughter... Yee gods she is hot!!" The last quote shows that perfectly. Admits he shouldn't encourage "lascivious comments…

hardcore feminist when it comes to his daughter If that were true, he would not make sexual comments about her appearance regardless of what she was wearing. For fuck's sake, he even did it when she was a baby. How the hell can you think she 'wanted to be sexualized' when she was a baby. Only a few years before she doesn't like boy cooties, but wants to tease boys. Only a decade before she wants sex. /s

And sexualizing Ivanka's appearance doesn't count? How it that being a "hardcore feminist when it comes to his daughter"?

(Off topic) Looking at the polls, it seems like Trump is going to win. He has a lead of 20+ electoral votes on Hillary right now. I agree, I would also like to add that any moral/ethical dilemmas should be dealt with by the person who is actually pregnant. She is the one who would be forced to carry it to term (if abortion is banned) and deal with being pregnant; paying for maternity clothes, time off work, pre-natal appointments, the physical toll of growing a baby and giving birth.

I'm pro-choice. I would get an abortion if I was pregnant today since I would not be able to financially support a child. If I wanted to keep the child, I would not abort since the father can always sign away his rights to custody (that is what happened when I was born - my mother also didn't ask for child support). If I was inconveniently pregnant I would go ahead with aborting because other than not wanting a kid, I don't want to go through the physical and financial cost of pregnancy and birt…

What do you consider the negative aspects of femininity? As to 'toxic' masculinity, I think that it may actually be hypermasculinity; which leads to more extreme 'masculine traits'. However, as with all discource, that distinction as been lost so that masculinity as a whole is bashed. Now that I've thought more about it, I might have a few: 1. Women who use gender norms/stereotypes to get men to pay for dates or take advantage of men 2. Women who cry rape when it isn't 3. SAHMS who aren't actual…

No question, of course. Apart from it being morally/ethically right, also so that the SO can test for STDs.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
