My ex husband is a porn addict and had been since an early age ( he admitted as such in couples therapy). There was no way out of that - he was never going to be the guy he wanted to be. Thankfully he is an ex and I’m free of him. They can’t be fixed. They don’t want to be fixed because it’s actual work. Don’t waste your time. Cut your losses and get out.

LVM will also get angry if you beat them at a video game. Seen some put extra work in afterwards so they can beat you down n the game. Fragile little egos. That time would be better spent in therapy but no!

I have to laugh. I made a comment earlier this week about how Elon musk was no Tony Stark. Some scrote replied and I got the reply in my email so I saw it and he mansplained it and said that the character (that came out in 1963, mins you) was based on Elon Musk. The fact that he felt compelled to “well actually” me was a chefs kiss to his ignorance. Oh and the user name he’s chosen is hilarious. So scrotty! I’ll share if you want but didn’t want to break a rule, if there was one. Idiot. In summa…

I like Tony as a character but in real life? No way. Despite what men think they are not Tony Stark. Neither is Elon Musk. 🤮

My ex would take a plate then later toss the bulk of it in the trash. Would say he didn’t like the meals I and my daughter loved. Got to the point where I gave up and cooked for me. And yes, he was addicted to Coca-Cola and fast food. Not my problem anymore thank dog

I agree. I was just thinking that a reason for all the wild behavior is that people think they’re starring in a movie where they’re the main character! Dude, you’re just background noise.

None of you are intimidating. THEY are intimidated. Which is their problem not yours. Keep being your bad ass self and don’t change because of someone else’s insecurities.

Actually I think it was a pretty bad ass move because he may have ghosted you like you ceased to exist, right? But when he returned you acknowledged HE existed and by shutting the door said I don’t give a fuck about you anymore. It sent a fantastic message and yes part of me was sad for him but you know what? Not my clown not my circus.

I wonder if a lot of this behavior is how men mentally rank themselves against their peers. They know no other way to behave so they do it to women. And they see nothing wrong with it cause “everyone” does it.

Oh my God I literally laughed out loud when I read your story about your boss. It reminded me of a meeting I had with my boss where our software vendor was on the phone and I was explaining to my boss how certain part of the software worked. He - I fucking kid you not - turned to the phone and ask the vendor whether what I said was true. Why the fuck would I lie, Dingus???

My ex loved football. He was Scottish a fan of American football. I once casually told him that John Madden didn’t like to fly so he took the bus to the train. My ex demanded to know how I knew that and he didn’t. I don’t know it’s just something I heard. That wasn’t sufficient. He accuse me of pretending I didn’t know stuff. Quite bewildering. Should’ve just dumped the guy. Edit: word

No I don’t think it had anything to do with negging, more of I could see these folks exhibiting the same behavior in other social interactions. Kind of a personality flaw

Same. The month after I drove my only child 2000+ miles away - the very Mother’s Day after that drive, he stayed long enough to be on the phone when we spoke then he went to the game store and spent the day there. That following Friday he tries to manipulate me into begging him to stay, but honestly I’d had enough and eagerly agreed. We are so better off without these tools.

I’m not going to repeat what others have said. I’m going to address what I think should be your best move after you’ve made the decision to drop him. Let’s say you’ve made that decision and are ready to begin. Go full no contact. Disappear off social media. Get a new phone number. If you encounter him grey rock him. It’s over. If you have a chance find the post about an absolute queen who did the ultimate breakup after finding her cheating partner. Silently left, close out accounts, got her stuf…

Think of them as individual spermatozoa looking for their egg. One might find the egg, the rest are dross. The egg has nothing to do with the number or quality of the spermatozoa who are just being…spermatozoans?

“ He tried to end the relationship to get me into chasing him” Christ that was the tactic my ex tried. He did not expect me to double down and kick HIM out. When I asked how he thought this would end and he said ‘I thought you’d figure out a solution for us’ No. Enough emotional labor wasted on that scrote. Congrats, OP!! Well done!

God yes my nvx had to be right about everything ! It blew his mind that despite my disinterest in football, that I knew John Madden didn’t fly anywhere. It could not be that I had a useless nugget of info about some rando guy that he didn’t know so I had to have made it up. I told him to google it. The subsequent meltdown was epic.

He lied so I picked a fight - should read -> he lied and I held him accountable. It was his decision, so it’s his consequences. ‘Picking a fight’ describes some thing I would qualify as you did it because you needed any excuse for a fight and by its definition, it’s a shitty excuse. Versus holding him accountable which pushes the ownership of causing the problem in the first place back where it belongs not on you. He is the one that lied and forced you to bring it up. Yeats said it best: Never give all the heart, for love Will hardly seem worth thinking of To passionate women if it seem Certain, and they never dream That it fades out from kiss to kiss; For everything that’s lovely is But a brief, dreamy, kind delight. Agreed. He was all over his fb crying about how it hurt and people thought I had instigated the divorce. Which I had not. Didn’t even know he wasn’t happy cause he did not talk about it. And I know from his sex addiction therapy that he had never been in recovery. Just didn’t want it discussed.

I guess I was lucky. I posted a video on Facebook of me explaining the divorce was his idea, it came out of the blue and I was not staying with a man who didn’t want to stay with me. Turns out I ended up with the friends bc, as one told me, “I told him if he did that to you what’s to stop him from doing the same to me? “ And I was the one invited to holiday meals (pre Covid). He cried in his oatmeal about how lonely he was. Too bad so sad.

My ex posted on Facebook about how painful our break up was for him - so much so to the point that people thought that I was the one that asked for the divorce. I had some of his friends reach out to me shocked that he would do that and told me that they didn’t trust him anymore to be their friend - if he would do this to his wife why would he not do it to his friends.

Mine was surprised when I handed back the diamond and wedding band. I think he thought I was going to keep them. The diamond was the one that his father gave his mom. No Way I was keeping that even though after 12 years I probably could’ve. But I wanted nothing of him to be in my life without him

My ex husband to a t. HE told me he didn’t want to be married anymore then posted on Facebook how ‘painful’ it was - to the point our mutual friends were shocked when I revealed the whole thing was his idea. It’s funny they thought I’d be the one to end it. They probably found him as tedious as I did lol. I honestly believe he didn’t expect me to respond ‘challenge accepted’. Oh man it is NOT you! Don’t gaslight yourself. I spent 20 years in a relationship where I would try time after time, try anything, to get what I wanted from him. The last straw was when I bought a book that was some thing like 52 weeks of romance. The book had packets in it that had labels on them as to what would be involved in the task to identify what you were getting into. There was a his and her section. You’d pick your packet and then you open it and then you do that task. you’d have a wee…

And yes, I tried to buy a hobby farm but I’m glad I am where I ended up. The place is perfect and it’s already worth 100k more than when I bought it. Thanks, ex hubby.
