Because the taxes fix the potholes and fund the schools and pay the fire dept and the health dept and other regulatory bodies which keep us healthy and safe. You see that video of the building collapse in Turkey that was on All a week or two ago? That's what happens when there is no regulation in Construction. Lmao I live in Orange County. When looking back at the Mainland from Catalina Island one can guage the county limits simply by looking at the air quality. If I spend a day in LA county, I feel greasy, and when I shower after, the water becomes a dirty grey from the pollution stuck in my hair. Air Quality reports in the weather section consitently rate LA as much worse than OC. You can even see the smog layer when flying out of LAX.

I would merely chalk that up to lack of education. I'm a guy in America and TBH I don't even think I'm vaccinated toward HPV. Up until now I literally thought it only affected women. Dr. Drew would always mention it on Loveline that women could get some sort of cancer "down there", but I don't recall (or perhaps didn't pay enough attention to) him mentioning males at all.
