I’m not sure how this is feminism? That’s an interesting reading of the decline in birth rates. I can see how that is what it appears to be from a male POV. Curious, how do you feel about birth control and pro choice in all of this?

Context is important here, where are you referring to. And do these feminists support this manlet comment or left wing in general? Assuming you have a two party system I don’t think equating the two is a fair argument What do you mean by ‘more competent’? And if that were true, I’d think you’d see more women in the tech sector right? This is just the result of algorithms platforming high engagement content- usually results in the ragebaitiest of things

Where’s here? Because I know for a fact that’s not true for the communities I’m in and have seen. I’m not going to fight you to try and change your mind but What happened to you is not your fault but healing is still your responsibility. What you seek is out there but the tough reality is it’ll take effort of some kind on your end to find it. many have and I hope you do too

So I agree that these are important jobs and I agree they are majority male but women not being in them does not equate them not wanting them. To your point these are stable (bc necessary) and from my understanding well paid jobs so despite being more physical than the average, I suspect that there’s something more insidious behind this And I’m not saying this is MY reasoning for the draft thing, it’s just literally why it doesn’t happen. Also I’m not sure where you’re from but the last draft th…

You’re right! My misstep, I’m fielding a LOT of comments that are saying similar things so I conflated

Thanks! Questions for you: What reasonable solutions to issues are feminists actively against? Regarding defending the nation part- are there no women in your country’s military? Do you have a mandatory military service for men there? I think tying desire for suffrage to the military an interesting take, would love to hear more about your thoughts on it. Again, can only speak to the US but women out earning their husbands is becoming more and more common here so that doesn’t track for here eithe…

Can you say more about that?

Thanks for sharing. I’m hearing the hard jobs and war drafts a lot. What are hard jobs? Why do you think women don’t want them? And in re the draft, i feel like everyone’s missing the point here. The government controls the draft. The government is the one who sees their country’s young men as expendable to fight for something that they didn’t agree to. They won’t draft young women because that would literally kneecap the country’s population. I don’t think anyone should be drafted but if you dr…

I’m sad that you think this way at such a young age. So much life ahead of you. I’m sure you know/ have heard this from your therapist but there’s no reason to believe that you’re too broken for relationships. You need some healing sure but a big step in the healing process is knowing that you’re capable and more importantly deserving of healing and love.

What has that taught you?

I’m sensing some anger on your side, did I say something to offend you?

I don’t either. That said it’s clear that the equality of which you speak isn’t the case, so what do you think needs to happen to get there?

1

So sorry to hear this but I’m glad you at least are on a path to some relief. And at 30 there’s still so much time to become the man you hoped to be. Have you been able to Find people in your life that you feel safe with?

Woo thanks! This is what I mean by words mean things! Equality vs. equity Can you talk more about when the benefits outweighed the cons?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 09:19 AM

Sure everything can be/is influenced by propaganda but there is definitely a midpoint between the jump you made but I digress So I don’t know where you live so can’t argue that but I find that highly improbable. But I am curious as to what things you’ve seen that benefitted women and only women. Because in communities empowering groups such as the young or women or the disabled results in improvements for all but would love to hear the examples from your country so I can get specific

Okay some preliminary questions: what is the Freudian slip are you seeing? I don’t want to assume I know what you’re talking about I’m not familiar with UNwomen, what is it about this org/site that stood out to you to take its’ definition of feminism? Also, have you read/ are you familiar with the ‘ain’t I a woman’ speech? What’s the math and the money part? Again don’t want to assume I know TY!

I’m so sorry that that happened to you. You didn’t deserve that at all. What your sisters did and believed is absolutely not aligned with feminism but more importantly I’m curious to know if you’ve been able to get help or get back on track since then?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 08:59 AM

Okay thanks that link gave me context for your POV- you’re talking white/English feminism. My question for you is: as someone who is active in left wing spaces, what would you say your ideological stance regarding gender would be? Like a quick elevator pitch of it
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 08:56 AM

Omg yes okay so you’re like so so close with ‘girls are pushed to participate but not boys’ like that’s a huge reason as to why men and women find ourselves in the current ‘stalemate’ though it’s men who seem to be faring worse but I’d be doing you a disservice by trying to explain it all to you here. This discussion requires so much nuance nd for me to not sound like a wacky tin foil hat person you’d need really good primers on the subject. I don’t want to force anything on you but if you’re op…

Thanks for sharing! Where did you get the first definition? And how do you identify these feminists that you’re observing? I don’t want to know anything identifying but I’m curious about your demo- like are you blue collar? In the west? Of what generation?

Great thanks for sharing! So 1) why do you think that the formal definition of something doesn’t matter and 2) what is the wiki definition and how is it fundamentally wrong about it?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 08:31 AM
1

Okay so yes you get it! So why do you, as a man, think that many men think all women think that way? Or alternatively, how did you come to the conclusion that not all women think that way when other men didn’t? Also what does black pill mean to you? (I’ve seen varying definitions)

I can deduce who the tater tots are but who is fresh and fit? That’s a new one for me lol So I hear you and respond with a challenge- is the problem of a lot of feminism what you described or is the problem with feminism is that no one cares to know what feminism really is so when they see those comments in the replies they think it’s feminism when it really isn’t. Like often the people that are referred to as feminists just are so literally not which spreads the misinformation and I just hate t…

No, you’re completely side stepping the question, meant to spark meaningful discussion, to rage bait. And, based on your history, that tracks. I feel sad for you.

Okay. So thanks for clarifying. In your original post you cited a lot of (completely valid) personal experiences that influenced your sentiments towards what you’re saying is feminism. And I’m not here to argue you down or even change your mind but what I’m hearing you allude to sounds more like the patriarchy at work and not feminism. And to be clear, it’s not like feminism is faultless or a cure all by any means, it breaks down in fascinating ways just like any other ism (another comment menti…

Okay several questions: are you saying that talking about these topics make women angry or bitter? In your opinion are these things like overblown or what? And when you say can’t stop talking about what you’ve listed, are they being brought up in a way that you feel is irrelevant to the topic at hand? And a follow up, you said most girls you know in real life don’t fit the stereotype- so I’m assuming you’re a youth lol what POV do the girls you know have on the things you listed? And an extra- c…

Ooh this pro vs anti SW argument is a hot one that gets pushed aside a lot but I think it’s because it really makes you face some unsavory internalized fill in the blank beliefs that women have. Anywho 1 thanks for answering and 2 thanks for pointing out my last question wasn’t clear. Do you feel like people are using very different definitions of feminism? Maybe not in personal circles but on the internet and in the media?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 07:29 AM

Okay but what is an internet feminist to you?

In re women not actively helping their partners, I can agree that most women don’t feel empowered to say anything but if you are invested in your partner’s pleasure, why wouldn’t you ask? And that’s an honest question there- so much of women’s exhaustion is that we always have to help. Like on the flip side, why don’t men encourage their partners to talk about what feels good to them? And when I say men I mean the majority bc of socialization- I know many men who do that and that initiative is f…

So since you’re talking psychology, you always have to consider the whole picture and in this case, sample and bias. This doc’s sample is women in couples counseling. Seeing as sex is a common reason for couples to go to therapy, that’s a biased sample that can’t be taken as representative of the general population. And treating thousands of women falling into that category would bias the doc as well. As to the diff between men and women, one can’t ignore socialization, which I touched on in a c…

That’s hard to say, so much of a women’s experience is shaped by violence from men. It may sound like I’m exaggerating especially since you’re a man but so many choices I’ve made has had at least a consideration of optimizing my survival. Like a couple of years ago go I opted not to wear a sling after surgery so I don’t look like an ‘easier’ target. Fucked up aint it? That’s the patriarchy for you. And it harms you too. Moving past violence for a bit. There’s something to be said about the orgas…

You’re missing the very important part of sexual intercourse with another person which is consent. That’s really scary for the women around you
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/24 06:51 AM

That’s a really….uninformed thing to say…have you actually talked to a woman about this before?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/24 03:37 AM

Well why have a child if you can’t support it? if you want a child to act as ‘accountability’ then child support is the same? why do you require only women to be held accountable/punished for having sex? Or do you just want to punish them for not having sex with you?

Just because he didn’t get it doesn’t mean he didn’t need it. And this isn’t just a sad thing like a breakup or lost opportunity- it’s a laundry list of harmful thought processes that clearly are hindering his life. Therapy isn’t bad and needing it doesn’t make someone bad. It’s a treatment as is insulin to diabetics and inhalers to asthmatics. If you can improve your quality of life with a well substantiated treatment, why wouldn’t you?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/24 11:38 AM

Is it? Seems central to the point to me
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/24 10:26 AM

You seem very angry
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/24 10:16 AM

I saw this genuinely, have you ever considered therapy?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/24 09:15 AM

Right the world as you see it. You’re projecting your views on to the world and women and when women are telling you otherwise you tell them to ‘stfu and address the damn argument’. Idk that’s not very likable behavior
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/24 09:14 AM

I mean to be so fair, I’m not convinced straight people exist so if the mommune is soft launching bi women to the main stream I still support it 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/24 10:31 AM
3

Well them not being scalable because you’ve never heard of them isn’t a fair take but in your defense it’s a slight misnomer bc what it means atm is two single moms living and raising their kids together. So two fams living together, not like. Compound situation. And in general I’ve seen the trend towards more intentional village building so that would help this cause

Women don’t have to do it alone. Look up mommunes!

A+ response. That is all
/r/ExRedPill10/02/24 06:39 PM

Fine if that’s how you interpreted it but if you’re not open to the fact that maybe you missed the mark here then idk what to tell you.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/24 06:23 PM

If you’re this committed to misunderstanding despite people trying to explain it to you, then you’re gonna have quite the time in your relationships. Godspeed to whoever you try dating
