Also, remember that HR is there to protect the company and not specifically to protect you.

My mom would always complain about this too me, so I started to just put the lid down too. That way everyone has to do something to use the pisser. She got pissed about that too.

Nothing is wrong with talking about work for most people but I have a job that stresses me out and even thinking about it can ruin my mood, and I know that when I start talking about work I start to sound like a bitch, especially to anyone who hasn't worked a similar job. Also that topic can easily become a rut that I know I will have troubles getting out of, so I just try to avoid it. I know it's not bad to show that you have hustle and make money, but not if it makes you sound whiny.

yeah, probably, but I do like knowing that I have someone to fall back on if things aren't going well. Most often when I go it alone, I only manage to talk to the bartender, but I am going to give it an honest go tonight. Thanks for the input and reading my ramblings.

I agree totally, and try to embody this thought. I talk about what interests me, try to relate to shared experiences, and as a lover of comedy I strive for a nice call-back whenever possible. I guess, what I was wondering is more along the lines of why these women that I manage to open, talk, text, and set up a date with all seem to flake in the last 24hours prior to the scheduled meet up. I'll keep pushing forward and trying to get past all this flaker business. Thanks for your reply, no sarcas…

Sorry for the long worded comment. Wish i had read this a week ago. I"m still struggling to find my way, but I'm putting in more effort and things are working better(I know it will always be a struggle but all the best things are) Met a cool girl last friday, we both enjoyed each others company, but all of my friends kinda made us the center of attention and really killed my ability to interact with her, so I kinda shut down, they were trying to help I think. Anyway, I texted her and we shared a…

Yeah. Wisco resident here too. 10k peeps with another 10k right across the river, and all they care about is their 4 wheelers. A bit of hyperbole, but very little culture. I love Wisconsin, but often find it lacking.

this is something that I cannot get over either. Why the fuck do i care about what other people think about the women that I spend time with. Seriously, I have passed up so many willing women, and girls (when I was younger) just because I didn't think that other people would approve, or worse that other people would laugh because I spent time with someone who they thought they were better than. I still find myself thinking this way. It is a problem and I do not know how to resolve it.

you are right, I went to her business under false pretenses, had I not wanted to meet her, I would have went to the other very similar business I frequent often. I chose that shop because of her, but I would have gone to a similar shop because I was in the market for what they were selling. Yes I did purchase, because I wanted what they were selling, had she not been there I still would have purchased, because that was why I was at a shop. (if not that particular shop) Maybe it was a dick move, …
