What about the last one who cared about you? Why wouldn’t you choose to li e and care about her? She was also loyal to you…. Even if you could not see or believe it and needed to tell yourself she wasn’t loyal and wasn’t good enough to be loved by you.

Have you ever had these trust issues with other girls? Or just her….Were the other girls feelings also hurt by the suspicion or not? Do you have any issues trusting non-women as well? What if she broke things off just to break things off…. Without having any new guy in place? Would that also be tragic to you? Or would that kind of loss be acceptable even after your investment in the relationship, so long as there’s no other guy causing the leaving? Bc you know…. A woman could also leave just to …

Really? You wouldn’t leave her? Can we ask you this again in 14 or 15 months, after the novelty is further gone? What is the thing about her that makes you so dedicated, anyway? Is it just the loyalty? Haven’t you ever been with anyone else before who had not eyes for another?

Maybe she is just playing the “hurt feelings card” to try to blame shift it back on you… make you drop your vigil so she can get away with some deed? Seen it played that way more than once.

Siighhhhh I tried all that (reasonable convos and understanding)… back when we were still together. He went through a divorce b4 me. Got screwed financially. I feel for that… but I didn’t do it to him. Any attempt at reasonable conversation would inevitably lead to him blowing his top, changing the object of the discussion, talking in circles, and eventually leaving and blocking my number for weeks. Meanwhile he would quote the dogma of those sites the way a bible beater quotes scripture, also m…

Why? Because men are not exactly seeking a woman who is 4’8”, 320 lbs, with a face full of bad skin, somehow still flat chested, the voice of a bleating goat, zero potential for employability, the personality of wet cardboard, size 14 feet full of bunions, brown-grey crooked teeth, and a tail. Now maybe one or two fellas would actually LIKE to date a gal with an actual tail but they are talking about a pretensile monkey tail and this unfortunate lady had a full whisping broom of horse hair sort …

Nothing wrong with being educated or having a food career! Its just not good to obsess over those pursuits or to be pompous about it. Being a well rounded and kind person is way better than career obsessed any day no matter the gender.

You are right. There are even dating apps for older women who want to date their own age and the older people/women are pairing up at better rates than the younguns!

My mom’s advice to me as a teen: “beware of Roman hands and Russian fingers” and “if you ever come home pregnant I will KILL YOU” Her advice to me in my 20s: “well…. He sure seems like a real nice guy” (about ANY MAN within shouting distance of me… repairman, clerk at the local airport, waiter…. Anyone) In my 30s: “well just finish your graduate degree and get a good job then someone will come along and marry you” In my late 30s: “i don’t understand why you cant just FIND any man and get him to …

Ok. Well you are entitled to your opinion but you do not know anything about me my situation etc. If you asked me a few years ago Id have had to agree that sure some of my male friends are orbiters who want to or would if given the chance sleep with me. Something happened that caused me to remove those “friendships” from my life. So no. I am not delusional. Something specifically happened that caused me to evaluate and pick those off. And yes you are correct. I AM hurting. You would be too if yo…

Why dont you take her out drinking and dancing at a club and invite her friends along and some of your own so you all can have fun together instead of allowing the frat boys to be the only providers of the “let your hair down” venue she obviously wants to enjoy?

Really? All the stuff u are saying is peeled right out of all the trp sites. So… if my male friends want to sleep w me so bad, then why haven’t they ever tried. Not talking about the ones who have tried and failed ( or tried and succeeded) Talking about the ones who in 10, 15, 20 years have never crossed the line. Really you are telling “young dudes” to stay away from the likes of me bc I am friends w a handful of people like that (and their wives if they managed to acquire one over the years)? …

Lol! “Drag your sister INTO this”? Lolol! Nope. I will make no apology for illustrating my point. When my partner uses trp-tard mentality to say i may be “secretly in love w” my platonic friend? That makes me feel equally as skeeved out as you do now! It also made me beyond frustrated/bummed out bc I was so so so in love w my partner and not anyone else and he totally ruined the most amazing moments of my life w these jealous tirades and the constant reciting of “factoids” ripped from his “youtu…

As I’ve stated numerous times in this discussion, yes. I am currently in a relationship. And before that I was married. And before that I was single by choice for a while and back then yea, I had both platonic male friends and orbiters. And suitors. And know the difference. Maybe some women don’t. But that is not my point. My point is that connections between the opposite sex which are not fueled by sexuality can and do exist. Im sorry that you have not found one yet. Btw, its not always the man…

Well… I’m almost 50. So I am not “most women”. I am me. Id hope that by my age though? That “most women” (and men) have figured out the difference between a platonic friend and an orbiter aka prospective suitor. I am assuming that you are male? Do you have any friends who are female that you have no interest in dating or sleeping with? Do you have a sister? Do you think she would sleep with you if you offered? How did that question make you feel? The feeling you might have gotten is now my few p…

Nope And also- I’m not offering. The few I am thinking about, it would be like kissing a brother or a first cousin. Ick! You do sound peculiarly like my boyfriend who also can’t accept that there ARE male/female connections in the world that aren’t about sex or dating. My old crowd tends to be a little more artsy/bohemian and the guys are sort of stoners so maybe that has something to do w the dynamic. Some was a typo from another post As i was trying to say- used to have some orbiters around in life That was b4 i was in a relationship tho The few male friends who i kept around were certainly NOT orbiters My ex husband was never phased by them, we split up over very different reasons. My current partner is extremely jealous of them. So I limit contact out of respect for boundaries. Not that they are an actual threat to he or me. Maybe some day he will realize that. In the meantime no one is of…

Like I said. I used to have “orbiters” around too. Then I got married and defended/deleted those all. Ive since divorced but didnt rush out and hit up all the old orbiters. I started dating an acquaintance after the divorce. Trust me… none of the guys who I consider real friends would sleep w me if approached. It would actually probably offend them as most are paired off these days. It would certainly be seen as creepy. We just aren’t like that. One of them I even went on a vacation with- slept …

How do you know that? You don’t know the people or the dynamic. And you really think we can’t tell the difference between platonic and an orbiter? We can. At least I can. I have had those in life too. They are not in the classification I am referring to here. I do not keep orbiters too close or even at all when I am committed to someone which I currently am. Some other women might. But I am not those women.

“R/relationshipadvice” would better be called “post your partner’s annoying trait or recent foible here, if you’d like a resounding echo chamber which will exaggerate and twist it into abuse of some sort or witchery/bitchcraft and you want to be convinced to end it all” Honestly. Never do you hear advice on better communication or constructive ways to get along or better understand someone. Its a chorus of “dump her…. Dump him….”

Not allowing one one one dinners or sleepovers is not controlling. That is reasonable. Want to hear ridiculous? Calling a group outing to a sports arena a “date” w the person who didn’t even do the inviting to the event- and calling it infidelity after they broke up with you two weeks prior at that. THAT is ridiculous. So is calling pandemic era “checking in w friends in other states by phone” an emotional affair- when you’re checking in w both male AND female friends.

I have a lot of make platonic friends. Always have. Even if I am avoiding a lot of contact w them right now because it makes my partner uncomfortable, they are still my friends. They have their own love interests, most of them and its sure as heck not me! None of them want to be my “guy”, and if they did, that was 10 or 20 years ago and long over it. And I will never date any of them. Ever. That is what platonic means. I was single for 8 years and did not “elevate” any of them then either. If I wind up single again, I will be dating new people I have not yet met. Not my platonic friends. Again. That is what just friends means. Also when I am single and I do start to like someone they are the only one I am interested in… until it either works out …

Whats this concept of “backup guys”? It seems to be a trp origin thing. Cant speak for “women” as a whole but me, if I like a guy? He is The guy. Anyone else I might talk to is just platonic meaning friends I’ve no desire to date now… or ever.

Because feminism is a movement which has been in America since at least 1792 and has absolutely nothing to do with the “redpill”. What “redpill” paints feminism as is anti-male sentiment and the fact that some men feel the tables are turned against men these days via family law and other court systems as well as super-picky women who will not date certain men who wish they could date those women. True feminism is NOT “man-hatred”. It is not a concept that female is superior to male (as some of r…

It is not the same for every “women”, as we are all individuals. The “chad face” (i imagine u mean chiseled looking, prominent jaw, etc?) is sport of ick to me. I do not have a “type” just tend to find unique faces of one sort or another if they’re attached to a decent human…. A lot of ladies do get attracted or interested to some sort of talent if its not the traditional looks or success or status or whatever it is. Great personality is a sort of “talent”. A lot of girls dig musicians.

But… I also have a track record of not suing for support or alimony- once when I was 25 (the guy wanted out if the marriage from day one, it was annulled, he had been pining for his high school gf and promptly reunited w her after), the second time more recently, at age 42 (my more recent ex was a drug addict, quit his job, started plotting to sue ME for support) Neither time did I go after the guys for money just signed p…

We were not talking about working mothers we were talking about sahm’s who aren’t working after being left by their husbands who go “off the grid deadbeat”. Those moms’ children, being of zero income homes, would qualify for state healthcare in every single state. Good job mr trp “life coach” whichever you are. Now the guys here having a bad day will begin to gravitate to your alternate sites (magically, as if by SEO keyword searches) and some may even begin to give you monies for your “advice”. Some of those will even drift into narcissism, eventually lose whichever relationships they’ve managed to get, and one or two? My guess, might stab or strangle some of those “wretched, lying, perpetually unsingle, yet always “desperate” to be “wived”” women!

Ive been a “sugar mama” to more than one man (not by choice, they sorta freeloaded after i fell in love). Ive never sought out a “sugar daddy” scenario in my life. The only time ive ever dated a guy who out earned me is currently and it actually had been getting uncomfortable for me for several reasons. Sometimes I wish he would lose his job so that he would be forced to take a pay cut and we could be at a level field earnings wise.

People outside of reddit and other venues for the internet addicted are not thinking “value” when they date. They are thinking “do I like this person”. Most people in the US like to date near their own age group.

Hmm. That is interesting. Anxiety is sort of my “relationship default” as well. It only goes away by the guy’s actions proving to me over time that he will stick by me and won’t ditch me and that he cares. Providing is not really a part of that for me. Thanks for putting it so succinctly. The “cherrypicking” and one way bias is my whole issue with it too. There ARE equally bad women and men out there. The other thing that gets me though- is hey- we gals have been burnt too. If there IS an equal “female red pill” out there? One with scores of man-denigrating youtubes and thought leaders, etc? You don’t think women get “fuckstruck” too? (Great word btw) Happens all the time. More often than it does to men actually, I think. Women often fall legitimately in love and stay as that w whichever guy they were most recently with. Most often the guy doesn’t feel it in return or at least won’t for a time after we feel it.

That has existed (with less than 100% accuracy) for over a decade: Centrifuge. Genetic material with less mass separates from that with more mass. Ivf. Done. Many couples going that route are purported to choose female, statistically less chromosomal abnormalities for an older couple (older in baby making lab years means anyone over 35. Yep. Its sad, bc I know my guy is just doing what he is doing to avoid being hurt. And we HAVE a great chemistry and connection- but the more “fake aloof” he gets, the more I am losing my attraction/attachment to him. I think part of it is that trp says to “like a girl less if you want her to like you more” so he is forcing himself to cut off his emotions. Now, without the full circuit of emotional connection? My side of it is fading a bit too (reluctantly…. Sigh) One thing I can say though, is …

Im pretty sure that the point of marriage IS that this sort of “trading up” is not approved upon by society. I personally think its a bad move and anyone who leaves their spouse for you or cheats on their partner/spouse with you will most likely do the exact same to you as well. Its a different story though, if two people are simply not able to get along at ALL and decide to part ways, then one or both find someone new AFTER the decision to split up has been made. Granted, one partner of the div…

That is the most dipsh_t opinion I’ve ever heard. BOTH men and women have more of a drive toward curiosity when younger and BOTH mature and are thus more apt to maintain stronger relationships as well as have had much more of their curiosity fulfilled as they grow older. Plenty of my girl friends who dated (aka slept) around quite a but in their early twenties were married, raising kids, and NOT cheating or trying to in their 30s and 40s.

Yeah. I get that he is trying to avoid pain and getting financially taken again… but I was 100% totally into him- liked him more than I’d ever liked anyone- and told him so. I have also been hurt and he knows all about it- even helped “rescue” me when my ex was trying to break back in my house and terrorize me. Eventually he got on this TRP sht and sort of turned the whole thing of my ex turning on me all around on ME! I do not hate my current guy, I do hate trp- and I am just… sad. Heartbroken …

You can’t appeal to what “women” want 100%, because each wants something a bit different. It will work better if you just find activities you like and then meet people (some women) who are into the same activities.

Thanks for sharing from your experience. You didn’t say how old you are now but that you were in school when you bought into it all. There was actually a similar book (w similar mentality and game sht) for women when i was college age. It was actually called “the rules”, lol. But it was more aimed at “rules” that would magically help any woman corral a guy and get him to marry her. Just because something ended doesn’t mean it was bad. People graduate or change jobs. They move away. They reach a different place in their life. Or sometimes try as you did, the other person does, and no matter how much you love them? You eventually need to accept that and let go. Yeah. It sucks at the time. Eventually you stop crying that it ended and smile that it happened.

Do you know what the true meaning of hypergamy IS? Its not just as simple as “choosing someone desirable”. It does not apply to animals either, because animals do not have social class/caste systems. It specifically means to raise one’s social rank or caste via a marriage or relationship. To say “all women are hypergamous? That implies that all men are therefore of a higher social rank.

Men are a lot more visually inclined in attraction than women. There are studies about this. Or….. how about not getting married without a signed prenup agreement? Oh but then there could be mo debate about how unfair various laws are?

Oh of course you did not say something so crass as “put out or get out”... just generalizing the situation and trying to show the extremes.

Well... good point on the “no entitlement” clause. No one is ever entitled to any relational situation with another. Perhaps though, one person wants to build the “freindship” part of the relationship not to drag out some dog and pony lineup of ex mates, but means they want to cool things down, work on the foundational part of the relationship a little while before heating things back up so to speak. Or if they are not yet involved maybe the person likes to be a little acquainted first before al…

Yes. The “dominance by intimidation or fear or conflict” is known as “unauthentic authority”. Its a sign of insecurity to those who know. A truly self assured personality tends to influence without conflict. Combativeness gets tiring.

“Start doing some serious relationship cpr”?? You can’t wait til it’s failing to do that! Next time, know you have to work at it to make it work. If you put in the work and still get ditched? That’s how it is sometimes but there’s more than one person, find one who likes you.
