The difference between the West and many third world countries here is how exploring your sexuality is promoted/ suppressed. Even for those predisposed to be homosexuals, you could say that a society prevents that exploration, teaches heterosexuality, and keeps people moving. Such is the case in more masculine third world countries, resulting in less self aware, practicing homosexuals.
