So it's evidently ok to only have support for a specific subsection of men on IMD. So does that likewise mean we can segregate for any other day to support people? Happy women's day for only those who are between 5'3 and 5'4 and auburn haired, or some other group of dividing out the populace. You would think they would have learn from past segregation based problems that this is not going to work.

Just was thinking about the fact that females often times get a pass to abuse others mentally. We have the expression for Karen in regards to customer service, not some masculine name. While guys do sometimes do it, especially those that feel entitled to the world no one seems to bat an eye at the fact that the representative for the behavior is Karen.

Keep in mind there is also a sliding scale when it comes to a suicide attempt as to how far you are willing to go. This I honestly think needs repeated for a lot of us guys on a regular basis since some of us rarely ever hear it. I've found most people truly don't understand the pain that you go through unless they themselves have been suicidal. I doubt so much that it is just the single act of playing a bad guy, but more the repeated never ending casting of bad guys. Now imagine a struggling young actor consistently casted over and over in roles where he is the bad guy. At some point it begins to effect a person mentally. So not only are we filling the audiences mind with repeating pattern that all men=evil but we also are reinforcing it in the actors heads as well.

This one pisses me off to no end. My best friend from the age of about 6 to 14 or so was raped by his brother and caused him a load of pain through most of his life. With help he has gotten through some of the damage that was done mentally and emotionally, but to just arbitrarily state that men can't be raped is a bunch of hogwash! Even with a woman I have seen that it is still possible to arouse a man against his will (especially if he doesn't find the woman attractive).

People as a whole objectify each other all the time and gender has no basis on that action. Sadly I hate to say this but it doesn't surprise me. I used to work back about 13 years ago as a 911 operator for a suburb of Dallas.
