head down, no eye contact "I just disagree with that" Typical form of someone who knew quickly that they got on the wrong side of the argument, but can't back down now.

"It appears that she started to slap him, and that's when it escalated. He slammed her to the ground..." NO BITCH, SHE ALREADY ESCALATED IT. Get a story straight. If it was a small dude and a big ass chick and the roles were reversed, Huffington would have had a full page dedicated to the "Powerful girl who stood up for herself and beat the crap out of some guy", but not when a guy stands up for himself. I wish the news would have reported this incident the way the police did. This is just blata…

She went too hard in her facebook post, she can't back down now. This is classic Backfire Effect. She can't be wrong, and nothing you can say will change her mind. You could tell from the facebook post that what she experienced in her own head is reality, and anyone elses' opinions of the events (even locals that know the poor man) is just wrong.

That first one in the quotes was obviously an exaggeration, but that incident with the woman and her child and the 5 seats DEFINITELY happened. That is one story I am not making up or exaggerating. 5 seats. 2 by the kid, 3 by the woman. That shit enrages me so much it is burned into my memory. I take the bus to work for an hour every day and an hour home, so I have the opportunity to see some really.....awesome.....things.

"Saw a woman putting her 20 bags on all the bus seats, so I threw them on the floor........... ......and was promptly arrested" I do actually ride the bus every day, and see more often than "manspreading" (which virtually never happens, and even if they did, most normal people move out the way so someone could sit) women putting bags on bag on seats all around. I one time saw a woman with her small toddler aged son taking up 5 seats in total. The son was laying on two seats, she was in a differe…

I would like to see her fairly taken down in court. Aside from politics involved and gender issues. I would never, NEVER, bring down someone who is working on themselves. Why would you, at a gym, where people are working out, body shame someone? They are trying to fix their problem, and these types of things only add to it. Make fun of a fat person for ordering 4 big macs if you NEED to fat shame someone, for crying out loud, but not at a gym.

op·pres·sion əˈpreSHən/ noun noun: oppression; plural noun: oppressions prolonged cruel or unjust treatment or control. "a region shattered by oppression and killing" Hmm, interesting how it doesn't mention anything about race, gender, or sexual orientation. It takes a lot of courage to go up in front of the entire country, to make a mockery of your graduation ruining it for others, and especially to ruin the life of an innocent person, to stick to a lie.

An important caveat to this is if you do stay, you need to be ADAMANT about upward movement and pay increases. Businesses will usually give in if you make a big enough stink because adding $2,000-$5,000 to your yearly is definitely cheaper than going through a new hire process. So I don't want people to feel like staying somewhere for a while is a bad thing (It looks good on resumes), but in the long haul, demand what you deserve or GTFO.
/r/MensRights21/06/16 05:39 PM
15

That is actually common and probably not sexist. I work for a large company. When you start greatly impacts your pay. If you started 5 years ago at $14 and work your way up to $15 and $16, great, but that doesn't mean that a new hire making $20 is a slight to the OP. I just trained a guy who is taking over for me, he is making $55,000 a year....I made $14/hr. It all has to do with the creation of the position and the justification. I bet if OP had taken that same job today, he would be making $2…

Totally, he uses their same form of attack to get right back at them, which I like. It's just hard sometimes to tell with Gavin where the satire ends and his real feelings begin. I am sure he means well, but I was just simply pointing out that stating things the way he does can further certain agendas inadvertently.

Ok, I agree to an extent, but Gavin is way too often too loony. I have never beaten the shit out of nor have I ever had the shit beaten out of me. Growing up I was a big kid and was laid back. No one tried to fight me because of my size and I never fought anyone because I'm not an ass hole. I am disqualified from being a man then? Ignorance. His sentiments put men back 100 years and back on to the ship of the Titanic last because men are the "tough" ones. Feminism isn't good for men, but perpetu…

I mean, I don't know, do people not know that jail, probation, house arrest, all those things are....what is the word....a PUNISHMENT!?! It isn't "Rehab" it is punishment and a deterrant. If we start letting people like this walk, what's the difference? 1 year in jail and 5 year probation is INCREDIBLY leniant for someone who almost stabbed her baby to death. Had the baby been a random stranger on the street, she would have been in jail for MUCH longer. Just because you have been "good" while se…

"Moral" and "respectful" are keys here moving forward. You can hate people, not agree with what they say etc. but you can respect that that is what they believe. There are conflicting religions, but they respect one another and don't show up to each other's sermons to blast their agendas to everyone. Respect needs to be had.

I totally understand. It's also really hard to get your whole argument out there so it's sometimes frustrating (for me as well) to get into it and no one is really understanding what the other is getting at. I do try to be as unbiased as possible, and in that, attempt to bring people to the middle with me to see both side, even if I am on their side to begin with. You always have to see both sides of the double edged sward to understand the whole problem.

That did strike me about how he did clearly break "character" or whatever you call it. Either way, we cannot prove anything. It's possible he was threatened, but it's possible he wasn't threatened as well. I just don't think it is wise to call this a "violent protest" based on these miniscule bytes and general assumptions, you know what I mean? I'm not trying to defend anyone. I did see that clip, and there is no evidence that he threatened to hit him. Milo even said "I think he threatened to hit me so that's nice, if University would do anything about that..." I think he wanted to create that "violence" atmosphere to kind of shove it into the campus police's face like "Hey, they are being violent and threatening, but the police won't do anything". I think it was probably one of those like "you better watch what you say" and Milo was like "Oh are you threatening to hi…

I don't know if other people do this, but any time I do see a picture like this, or some sort of situation similar, even if it isn't some sort of social experiment like this one, I have a few VERY quick thoughts, then I think about it (I'm a typical over thinker). for risk of being over simple again, blue-collar workers are viewed as tools (something that can accomplish something, not someone who works on something), and a lot of feminists think that's what men are anyways, so those are the jobs for them, to be tools for society. Higher ed creates not just people who work, but people who join, organize or lead organizations or societies, and there is a big shift in those roles as well.
/r/MensRights18/05/16 08:19 PM

I was speaking to the outside pressure, not the actual outcomes. Women are encouraged to take on office jobs while men are encouraged to take on more blue-collar jobs. I was just paraphrasing, basically, how social pressure swings decisions. I obviously know people are not telling women it's too hard to be an electrician.

If feminists want to do things like this, it could get much worse if the roles were reversed... "Labor day for equality! Women have taken the most days off, so only the men will get off." "Health care for equality! Men will have every test done to make sure everything is fine! women will essentially need to guess what is wrong with them, or just 'toughen up' because it's just the flu" "Education for equality! I had a lump checked out by my doctor. I have been hospitalized many times for a disease so Doctors and medical care is nothing to me. He looks at the lump and goes "ok, we are going to have to take a scalpel and make a large incision...." and goes on. If you are a public figure, there will be people who dislike you. That is a fact and apparently they can't get over that. Women want same positions men have. Women encounter same struggles men have. Instead of sucking it up because it knowingly comes with job, makes video about how it is mean. TL;DR Get over it ladies, men go through the same things. Issue 1: More Men in jail, more fathers in jail, than women. Fathers face longer and stricter punishment. Issue 2: More mothers in prison need to give their child up to foster care because they choose (often times) to not give any custody to the father, or keep the father in the child's life. Custody was more shared, less mothers would need to give up their children to foster care. Issues 3: Courts already EGREGIOUSLY favor Women and specifically mothers in any case across the board. Another issue might be that CPS workers are hourly, LTE workers, meaning the scope of their employment is very sketchy. LTE means it is a 6 month appointment and can be renewed. Basically, these people only have 6 month jobs, but people renew the positions. If the actual employment of the services sucks, the services provided will reflect that as well. This is more an issue with how mental health is handled these days. I have studied numerous Psychological disorders (Schizo being one of them) and it always bothered me that the law was more lenient here than with actual, premeditated murders. The point I make about this being more serious than someone who premeditate murder, is that the mentally unstable person killed someone they loved, without knowing it; that is a more dangerous situation than someone carrying out a murder for a specific per…

You know what I love? Feminists are big on the "NO GENDER ROLES" thing with families, but as soon as money is involved "It's the man's job." Feminists hate family gender roles, but this quote proves they don't care what they say, they just want it better than men, not the same. One parent prioritizes paid labor while the other (typically a mother) prioritizes family labor. This sharing enables the couple to enjoy a home and family; it also benefits the primary wage earner by allowing him to maxi…

Correct, but, whether you want to accept it or not, it is the law that the bar must be held responsible if the person is over served. I agree with you, the bitch is a stupid idiot for getting so blitzed and then driving, I totally agree. And it is also not 100% the bar at fault (I think it is a 50/50 thing) But it is also the responsibility of the bar to ensure she does not get to that point, and if she does, ensure she has a ride home, or call the police. Ok, one word reply Nazi. REPEAT OFFENDERS can lose their license. However, the staff/bartender can be held liable if someone is over served, is kicked out with no safe transportation due to intoxication, or fails to report the individual to police. The Bar should be the one in trouble, unless they did actually cut her off and the man continued to buy her drinks. If that was the case, then this is technically the correct outcome, unfortunately. It is not a Men's rights issue, it is an over-serving issue. If the bar cut the woman off but the man continued to serve drinks, then he should go to jail. If the bar did not cut her off, then the bar should lose their license. This is a common chain of responsibility. It is hard to tell if the rever…

The whole video (if you click on the video, it will play the whole thing) shows that it was mostly just bumping around that started it. Everyone was too close together and some people bumped into each other. The girl got mad. But I will say the dude did probably punch with mucho gusto. That was VIOLENT

I just don't want to see this sub turn into women bashing or hypocritical views to our own issues, you know? cheers.

I would argue the problem starts at the beginning. Women are encouraged NOT to engage in engineering activities (like the whole boys build blocks and girls play with dolls). The problem with that is, some of the most brilliant female tech minds may not ever enter the tech field because of implied stereotypes. Gamergate is a BIG example of why women are not seen as welcomed in the tech world. You are right that not every job is equally suited for both genders, but how can an IT job be male domina…

No offense, but that is pretty narrow minded. If IT were 99% female, men would have a fit. Every professional field should be leveled out (when it is physically possible). I can't even begin to address why it is a bad thing for professions to be gender dominated one way or the other. You are now arguing against the opposite end's problems. Females are having a harder time with professional jobs than males. You can't sit there and beg for male equality when you are saying "why should females even…

I understand what they are doing though. There are virtually no females in IT with combination of low female interest and high male work dominance. Basically if you are female, chances are you do not want to work in IT. These programs help build female IT employees as this field NEEDS to be leveled out. However, simply stating "female discounts" is bogus and needs to be exploited.

"It was like I was raped on the mattress one more time before I left." I can see the headlines now, "University rapes victim one more time, before she leaves campus." Edit: None of this was ever said, I like playing voices

She could have pissed on the Dean's face and they would have been like.....this is fine.... Anything to please this sociopath.... I still cannot believe she is not in trouble in any way shape or form with officials, the university or anything. She is, in fact, still being touted as a hero, by many outlets.

I should add, I am not sure if he did attend. But that was his major point, was that he could walk and not have to look at the mattress or have his family have to look at it, obviously with the intention that it is directed at him.

I always held the position that someone who committed such an act, regardless of state of mind, should be punished or removed from society. I disagree that, because someone was in a different state of mind, that they should be treated lighter. When someone murders someone else, it is usually for a reason and the person is targeted. If the person encounters a psychotic episode (which I am not demonizing, not something you can control) and proceeds to try to kill or kill people (randomly or helple…

she knew she would lose. If I was Paul I would have urged her to try me. "No, seriously, If i raped you, try me". Because as soon as it goes to trial she would be made a mockery of, and she knew it. She is dead wrong.

There are subsequent articles on her slowly being dragged down, but she still does not give up her "idgaf I am right and you are a rapist" agenda. Soave had tweeted "I am just happy this horrible thing never happened" and Merlan tweeted back "sure you are." This woman is more of a threat than anything. How brazen. The thing I see a problem with, is when someone commits a violent crime, at "random", and if they are found clinically/mentally insane/unstable, they can have a lighter sentence. I feel that if someone is mentally incapable of conceptualizing how abhorrent violent crimes are, we shouldn't be giving them lighter sentencing, because they are more dangerous than the person who committed premeditated murder to someone for a specific reason. I agree jail might not be the best thing for them, but defi…
