doesn't an education immediately put you in a higher class, and so result in marrying within your new class? Anyways, less sex probably comes from stress. There was some study I saw recently that showed both men and women in situations with no constraint described similar ideal mates - but when asked to consider the real world, men wanted a young pretty thing and women wanted financial stability. Seems pretty tradlife, no?

It did but I think it was a smaller proportion of the population in London than the countryside, right? The 20th century was the migration from the countryside into the big city.

Actually japan is experiencing a massive issue with hikikomori - who to me seem like the somnambulist rats from the experiment, who would simply go about their business without engaging in dominance displays or dealing with the ladies. It seems to me like there's issues on both the male and female sides in the city - but I have a feeling, too, that it has a lot to do with a lack of opportunity rather than some kind of innate conflict.

100 years ago, you didn't have most people living in big cities. Gender issues still remain less pressing in the countryside. Coincidence? I think not.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
