Fuck no. Birth control causes enough problems for women, I can either have a kid, use a condom, or just stop having sex. No birth control and no vasectomy for me

I’m not ignorant to the point being made, but framing it like that is gay and cucked

I don’t get why I’m getting replies that have anything to do with whether a woman is a person or not. I’m just saying that thinking of women in terms of men taking turns with them is gay and cucked
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/25 01:00 AM
-1

It’s cucked because the thought is centered on the idea that someone else has had/will have their turn with the woman in question. Why are you thinking about other men like that? Gay

Not against them being independent, but that’s not what this is saying. Thinking about women being with other men (“it’s just your turn” = it will be/has been someone else’s turn with her) is cucked

Thinking about women like this puts your mind in a perpetually cucked place, no matter the reality of the particular woman in question

The sweet spot is to be both hookup and husband material- being attractive enough to get laid on the first date and being able to turn that into a stable LTR

If you’re trying to have a family and set up your kids with a head start on wealth, having someone that makes around as much as you or more is a good thing to consider. If you’re smart and successful then you want to pass those traits on anyway, better to do so by aiming for a woman with those traits If you’re not having kids and not money oriented then sure, less important

I don’t get this approach, it seems like poor planning. No matter how much money you’re making, more money is more money

Don’t fraternize with women that you don’t already know intimately or would stand something to gain financially or socially from it. Avoid women that have a history of putting out accusations. Shouldn’t be a big deal for your average Joe, but I have seen false accusations happen in my teens and it can be devastating

I could more easily see myself being celibate the rest of my life if I got out of my current relationship and decided to not date after that, but being in a relationship and not having sex is much more off putting for some reason

I just don’t expect a woman to have the same political views as me, and frankly I would be concerned if she did. Hell, my views are a little all over the place, so I don’t expect many men to have the same views either. Anyway, I tend to date liberal women and IME conservative women that I have grown up with have had different issues that I am not equipped to deal with. I’m not going to find perfect alignment with either group, so I might as well pick what I can handle and what I think will make …

I’m “fit” but not movie star or bodybuilder fit. Think dad bod- some muscle, some fat. That’s essentially what I want in a woman as well, and it’s very important for physical attraction (and also how a woman’s body feels to the touch since I’m tactile oriented) but also having a healthy partner long-term and passing on those traits to my kids.

I am. Some of the things that I like about my girlfriend are that she is tall, strong, educated (moreso than me), funny, et cetera. Not only does it make my life better, but it’s good traits to pass down to kids in the future. No idea why other men don’t seem to prioritize these things.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/25 04:40 PM

Yeah me and my gf currently spend on tangible things more than experiences. Doing cool stuff is nice, but we’d rather have nice stuff for each of our hobbies that we will get a whole lot more use out of, it’s a better investment. Also honestly I live my life in a way that minimizes memories- I sorta have bad memory, not too bad, but I don’t take pictures or videos or anything anymore and just try to enjoy moments as they pass. I like going to concerts and such every once in a while, but for the …
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/25 04:33 PM

This is tough to answer because I feel like my gf is a mix of A and B. Has lived in several states, is generally more adventurous than me, but still has a lot of homebody-hobbies and adapts well to me being more of a type B. I guess I would say that I like fit and active type B women, I don’t think a woman having a ton of experiences is a positive in any way for me, I just want someone to match my lifestyle and interests. Plus as other people have mentioned, traveling just for the sake of it is …

Yeah, I would mostly agree with that, but it’s on a spectrum. I’ve had close female friends before that weren’t my type, but after a lot of time spent together I would sometimes find myself crushing on them- still not sexually attracted to them, just kind of obsessed with the idea that my brain was telling me I should be dating them. Crushes are weird and having varying origins and levels of intensity

Definitely. Without going into detail, it baffles me how my parents seem either unable to understand or unable to admit the importance of how they acted in my childhood, and I see a lot of the same issues are consistent in how other people in my generation were raised. For as much as I strongly detest those kinds of parents, though, I have an almost equal level of disgust with people on the receiving end of neglect/abuse that essentially decide to do nothing about it but integrate it into their …

Great analysis. The “putting parents on a pedestal” thing really speaks to me, I feel like it’s hard to find people online that can accurately criticize the parenting of recent generations without slipping fully into therapy speak and fully absolving themselves of any responsibility. It’s a hard line for a lot of people to walk, they either want to push full blame on their parents or radically accept their faults and become a doormat for their parents and their mistakes.

As a man, I almost agree with her. It’s like the hot-crazy matrix but for women, in a sense
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 05:19 AM

Depends on what kind of shame you’re talking about. There’s certainly a strong sense of shame that can come from, say, father-son or mentor-mentee relationships when the conditions are right, and those don’t have to include women
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 05:18 AM

I wonder about this, as someone in their early 20s trying to plant a life together right now. I think that the traits that make people excited or fully satiated aren’t necessarily the ones that lead to a stable and successful life, or maybe I just am one of those that has a hard time having healthy wants and reconciling with that
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 05:17 AM

Yeah but to be fair I don’t think I want lust to last forever. At a certain point of being old and married, I think I’d like to forget about sex altogether
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 05:14 AM

I’m only just coming back to this subreddit after a couple years, what happened to the mega thread that we have to specify what can and can’t be said here?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 05:11 AM

My experience is exactly the opposite, but I also don’t get out much so I can see where this might be true for some
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 05:07 AM

I’m gonna engage with this as if it isn’t trolling for a second. Yeah, a big portion of the reason why men (and women) are on dating apps now is because we’re all conditioned by the way we are raised and the effects of social media to be antisocial compared to previous generations. There are still use cases for dating apps, however. For me, in college in my hometown, the quality of women within my degree program and the places I would frequent were very low or outside of my preferences. Dating a…

I think the better question is, why wouldn’t they be polarized? Or maybe what evidence do you have that they are not or should not be polarized? It seems like most people regardless of gender or ideological position accept that men and women’s interests are polarized, it’s not exactly a hot take

Once again, you display reading comprehension issues. Did I say or imply that English is an American thing? No, I mentioned that you had comments about how English works on that post that pointed to you not being a native English speaker- things like not understanding how to properly use the phrase “I couldn’t care less” are not uncommon with non-native speakers, as well as some other things you mentioned there. Stop trolling and actually read not only what you’re responding to, but proofread yo…

That wasn’t an insult, and yes, there are multiple comments not just between me and you but between you and other people that indicate you have a hard time following along with other people’s points- regardless of their position on any given topic. I honestly took some of the comments about how English works on your post about Americanisms as you not being a native speaker, so… my bad I guess? I’ve had a lot of downtime at work today, so I went through your comment history and noticed other people also complaining about your lack of reading comprehension. Alright, sorry, I was hoping you would connect the dots. The first source shows that more men are single than women, which highlights the aspect of hypergamy in which women select the top portion of men and some men get left behind in that system. We see this in part due to the demographic data but also where women self report having more trouble finding a partner that is up to their standards. The second source shows part of the reason why that happens- the ability to acquire resources has an o…

I wouldn’t ever make the argument that men kill women less than vice versa, that wasn’t even on the table. Once again that goes back to what I said about men’s violence being more severe due to being stronger and often more aggressive, but women still try to get away with violence at a similar rate when they can. I’m not saying they take it to the same extreme. Couples might be formed from the same socioeconomic group, but that doesn’t mean that’s exactly what women desire, it means either that …

I don’t care what women believe or say they believe, aside from the ones I deal with IRL. If a woman I know IRL believes that then generally I treat it on a case by case basis: how real does her experience seem to back up her beliefs, and how differently does she treat me due to said beliefs? The domestic abuse data is admittedly hard to pin down because of how domestic abuse is defined and reported. Generally it seems to range from the perspectives of the classic take on men committing more dom…

I was half-joking, because calling myself a misogynist is funny to me. It would probably be more accurate to say that I try not to be a misogynist because I want to treat women well and believe that they are equals, but based on my life experience it’s just hard to do so. I’ll preface this by saying that usually in this kind of discussion people like to point out that misandry is more justified because men tend to be more violent and present “more real” problems to women. I don’t entirely disagr…

For as much misogyny as there is, I also see a lot of men bending over backwards to white knight for women in ways that you don’t really see IRL. Reddit just contains both ends of the spectrum and the people in the middle are less vocal. Source: I’m a misogynist

It’s not literal, it’s exaggerated. You think an autistic submissive guy has no options? I mean, maybe that’s a bad example on your part, but dating for undesirables is kind of like getting an entry level job in this market, you just have to keep trying and eventually something works
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/25 03:08 AM

I have a friend who’s a basically an ascended incel. Autistic, not particularly in shape or attractive, and in his formative dating years girls just used him for attention and he didn’t pick up on it a lot of them time, trying to get laid or a gf and not succeeding. He’s currently 21 and has a (somewhat crazy) girlfriend that is way out of his league. You won’t hear from him because he isn’t interested in these types of reddits or dating discussion in general

What is the blue pill stance on that? I have seen more red pill-adjacents seem to believe that certain duties that a man performs are just part of his role and they don’t portray it as a burden necessarily but as a gender role to be embraced

Which isn’t that bad, in the grand scheme of things. Anti-MGTOW women should learn to take a win considering those men are (supposedly) leaving them alone irl

That’s pretty much all I was going to say. Being a nerd not necessary but helps, and being relationship-oriented and loyal not only to me but to friends. That’s all a plus as well

1

You’re talking past me, not to me. I am agreeing with you that the men we are talking about can’t get laid or get a date, and yes that implies that they are less desirable. It’s important to note that a lot of what makes them “undesirable” is the artificial inflation of the sexual dating marketplace due to the factors I listed before. I mean, sure, there is some amount of men simping on onlyfans I guess, but there’s also a lot of young men that are failing just because they’re mediocre and being…

A lot of people have broken this down better than I will before, so I’ll keep this brief: some women will settle for their looksmatch, but some won’t. Many that won’t have an inflated self image based on a mix of social media, dating apps, and being able to hook up with (but not necessarily tie down) guys that are out of their league. Sure, some average to below average guys definitely have unrealistic standards for what they’re worth. However, I would wager more often than not it’s the other wa…

The quality of the photos can affect that, sure, but some guys- whether irl or in person- obviously aren’t going to pass your standards for looks regardless of what they do. That’s what I meant by not getting the chance to fumble. A lot of guys are failing not due to their actions but because they are automatically disqualified.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/25 08:50 PM

This seems sort of correct, fumbling is a huge factor, but I think part of the pushback you’re getting here is because many men don’t even get the chance to fumble. An example to illustrate this: I went to a very small community college and matched with the most attractive woman I had ever seen at the time. I didn’t know how to properly escalate that conversation and I didn’t align my wants with hers, so I fumbled. Several other guys never even got the chance to fumble because they never matched…

I agree with this with the caveat that the shame should be internally sourced, not externally sourced. You can’t necessarily rely on your peers and your family/community to model what is and isn’t shameful or even to be respectable themselves, so ideally the onus should be on oneself to be honest about their actions and feel shame when it’s due. I’d rather self-reflect and feel shame for things that go against my values than have shame projected onto me by others that I don’t agree with, but the…

It’s very funny that guys replying seem to think this is exceptional or too high of a standard. I have a very similar build to what you’re describing, which can be achieved by being decent at lifting and drinking a lot in college (aka twink death in your early 20s)
