We only required calc 1, discrete and linear. I double majored math so went through diffeq. I don't use any math at my job. You would be very successful in software without knowing anything past college algebra.

Meanwhile the tech companies offshore the work to totally untrained workforces... My CS degree was easy, plain and simple. If you can get a B average through any liberal arts degree, you can be a decent programmer, because you can memorize. That might mean an artistic frontend programmer. It's not all highly skilled mathematicians anymore.

Oh I see. It is kind of an extreme subreddit. Gotta be extreme to stand out.

Seems kind of an unhealthy stance to take in life. I've known plenty of guys working min wage jobs and still make it work with the ladies. I'm guessing it's more attributable to your demeanor.

I meant that he didn't directly fire her or give the orders to do so. He found out after the fact.

Holy shit it's real. But not directly the cause. "I learned she had lost her offer for an internship with NASA. This I had nothing to do with nor could I since I do not hire and fire at the agency or have any say on employment whatsoever. As it turned out, it was due to the NASA hashtag her friends used that called the agency's attention to it long after my comments were gone," Hickam wrote

This guy would take his employees out and get a couple $50 bottles of wine though. He had money to blow.

Gotta imagine their first date where he spent $500 was not fueled by love.

Well I guess I gotta change my name to Chad. Sucks though, I was always more partial to "Brad."

I was standing at a bar in Wisconsin grabbing a couple drinks for the guys. While waiting, this decently cute girl walks up and starts with a little flirting. Then she says she's from New York, so she wanted a suggestion of local beer. I just finished signing my tab, took my card, and I told the bartender "she wants spotted cow" and left. Ten minutes later I realized she was trying to get me to buy her a drink 😆

Had this epiphany about a previous boss. He says he's never paid for it. Just took a woman to a $300 dinner and had other elements of the date totalling over $500. Never paid for it huh.. never? Just the one $500 date?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
