I refuse to date any guy who uses Viagra. I'm bisexual, so I know for a fact it has nothing to do with my pleasure. If a woman can please me without a dick, a man can too. Does he use Viagra each time he masturbates? Obviously not. It has nothing to do with my pleasure, it is purely to fulfil his fantasy of being a "stud" - the Venn diagram of men who take Viagra and men who think good sex is jackhammering for a long time is basically a circle.

Yeah women should be virginal and ideally have never seen a penis before, but know exactly how to please one in multiple different ways (even if they make her uncomfortable, because that's what the penis-haver wants) with a moment's notice. Basically they should be a brand new sex doll. Ick.

While that's technically true (Although only truffles, not fruiting bodies are legal in the Netherlands) it is unrelated to the point of my post. Hookup culture is unrelated to the criminal/decriminalised status of drugs.

Then you're asking the wrong question. PEDs are illegal for the same reason psylobin containing mushrooms or cocaine are illegal. I'm not sure why you think the hookup culture changes that.

Are you talking about anabolic steroids and similar drugs?

Do you think it’s more likely that men are somehow immune to the physiological effects of hunger or they’re just less likely to acknowledge it?

If a man gets off on being raped by a woman he finds attractive, that’s fine. If a man gets off on raping a woman, that’s really not ok. Doing something illegal =/= having something illegal done to you. This is not at all controversial and it’s odd that you don’t spot the obvious flaw in your logic.

The whole point of that genre of erotica is that you insert yourself into the place of the woman, and then you enjoy a sexual fantasy with the kind of person you would want to do it with anyway. Women aren’t going to want to sleep with a man they aren’t attracted to, so why would they want to fantasise about one. That’s also not the reverse fantasy either, the reverse fantasy is that a very attractive woman rapes or kidnaps a man.

When it comes to dating, most women cite inappropriate behaviour from the opposite sex as a rationale. I haven't heard that men do, as in the examples I gave above. If you'd actually had a contradiction to that I would have been interested to hear it. But you don't, so what is your point? Just that a man hypothetically could have an experience to the contrary and you're sure I would disregard it if he presented it? right.

Women can stop shaving regardless of what men do. Pornography has brainwashed us into thinking that shaving away our adult sex characteristics is somehow normal and not gross and vaguely pedophilic. Fuck that and forget men who expect that you shave and also suck their hairy balls they probably haven't even washed.

I have friends of both sexes and the topic has come up a few times. But if you're so sure it happens all the time, I'm asking you now: Have you ever avoided going to a particular bar because you were worried that you'd be groped by women there?

I mean I have actually asked but either women are harassing men on the reg and they've successfully created such a climate of fear that none of them want to speak out ever, or this is a pretty universal experience for women (changing their behaviour in response to repeated harassment) and not for men.

Ah yes, only men can truly know suffering.

You can say it's just women blowing stuff out of proportion but your opinion on my reaction to my experiences isn't going to change it. Guys send me abusive messages and unwanted pictures on dating apps so I deleted them. I've reinstalled a couple but I don't use them to look for guys. Guys have groped me and said wholly inappropriate things to me, so I avoid bars where that sort of thing is likely to happen, and I'm generally less likely to stop and chat to randoms. I've never heard a guy say "…

They have the same options doesn't mean that they will get the same outcomes from those options (although every time a straight woman sleeps with a straight man, the reverse is true, so you do the maths on that) The fact that there is a range of outcomes for men and women on different platforms is exactly why some are better options than others. We don't disagree on that principle, I just think it's interesting to dig into that. Men very rarely get harassed when looking for partners. On the othe…

That's not an argument against OP, who is stating that one of the reasons OLD is a bad option for women is harassment. By definition, men and women have the same routes for meeting each other since if a man meets a woman in a bar, a woman meets a man in a bar. The difference is that while women seem to put more effort into going out (doing hair and make up, picking out nice clothes and stuff), men seem to spend more time on OLD. Both complain about their experiences despite having other options …

There's an entire movement of such men and they occasionally do stuff like shoot up college campuses. But we have to have a debate about women's inflated egos even though they never do that. Men are just offended that women they don't like have standards.

These aren't facts. You are making value judgements on possible outcomes of a situation. If you felt that long term relationships were more likely to be successful you'd come to a different conclusion. If you felt that the possible benefits were more important, or you felt that breakups were less bad, you'd come to a different conclusion. Your feelings about variables that you can't possibly know the truth about (what is the likelihood of this relationship working out) or which are subjective (w…

Most of my friends are married to or long term dating people of equal education. I haven't asked about prenups but generally both partners work so I'd imagine it's less of an issue.

Okay, but less abstract - what is it that you want and what are your terms? And I guess just as importantly, why should someone give you those things on those terms?

Everyone has considerable amounts of collateral damage from the end of a relationship. Even comparatively short relationships can take a massive emotional toll if you get emotionally involved with the other person. That's as true for women as it is for men though, and it's the 21st century so we all have assets and whatever else on the line. Have you considered that people might be unwilling to get emotionally invested in you because they can sense that you are the same? You're bemoaning that wo…

What does “winning” a relationship mean to you?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
