| 1 | r/MensRights should not just be sub for hating on feminism.I'm a little newer to reddit. It's one of my first times really participating in any social/political discussions, so I apologize for not getting the chance yet to post on any more topics. As a woman, I'll be glad to defend MRAs who are really advocating for men's rights. I've gotten hate before for saying men have been discriminated against too. Anyways I'm getting shouted down by you right now but still willing to discuss however this doesn't seem to be going anywhere. I hope you have a good d… | /r/MensRights | 10/12/18 02:37 AM |
| 0 | r/MensRights should not just be sub for hating on feminism. As for your added edits to your comment, I'm sorry about your bad experiences with so-called feminists. However, do you really believe it's right to box all people who call themselves feminists together and only focus on the bad ones, in the same way a select number of self-proclaimed feminists having a few bad experiences with a men run around spurting "all men are pigs?" It's the same idea. | /r/MensRights | 10/12/18 02:26 AM |
| 1 | r/MensRights should not just be sub for hating on feminism. But that's what I'm saying! A lot of feminists bash men and I'm totally against that! I absolutely detest the people that call themselves feminists and spur hate against men when it's so counterproductive! I think this sub is important because it brings up a lot of important issues. I feel like you're missing my point that both sides hating on each other is counterproductive, where there doesn't need to be sides at all. | /r/MensRights | 10/12/18 02:03 AM |
| 1 | r/MensRights should not just be sub for hating on feminism.I am not silencing anyone. I am merely discussing. Isn't that what we are doing? Everyone is within their own right to believe what they believe. My thing is that I don't care whether you are a feminist or not, whether you hate the ideology or not, I do think that putting down that movement is counterproductive to MRA. Think about it this way. If you are someone who is advocating for men's rights, but you are simultaneously putting down a movement that advocates for women's rights, you are going… | /r/MensRights | 10/12/18 01:49 AM |
| -1 | r/MensRights should not just be sub for hating on feminism.I agree wholeheartedly. But what I often see happening is that feminism is being perpetuated as being anti-men. There's an "all men are pigs" trend, similar to the whole "you're white so you're automatically racist" trend, and that just pushes many men away from the movement. It's simply an ugly side to feminism and I don't believe in it. I don't think it's real feminism but it's what seems to create this divide between men and women when it comes to the sociopolitical climate. | /r/MensRights | 10/12/18 01:34 AM |
| 2 | r/MensRights should not just be sub for hating on feminism.Oh trust me I criticize a lot of other people's versions of feminism. Every ideology or movement has it flaws that need to be worked on instead of being backed mindlessly and radically. Not sure what I myself can "do" about feminism other than as an individual to try to be open-minded, listen to all sides, and then do my part or at least partake in civil discussion. And I'm not sure what laziness you're talking about as I do read about other topics, both women's and men's health and political is… | /r/MensRights | 10/12/18 01:19 AM |
| -1 | r/MensRights should not just be sub for hating on feminism.I still consider myself a feminist, believing in the definition being the movement to achieve equality for both sexes. That being said, I think BOTH men and women have their downsides and their privileges. In modern day society, women's rights are always being brought to light, while many who consider themselves "feminists" shut down any ideas that some men can face discrimination. I just hated this whole anti-feminist thing because it just ends up divided people into sides, men vs. women, which… | /r/MensRights | 09/12/18 06:39 PM |
| 1 | New dating app allows height filter but no weight filter.I feel like the height issue goes both ways. I'm a 5'10 girl and I'm sure a guy who's 5'6 wouldn't want to date a tall ass girl like me who also loves wearing heels. I'd prefer a guy who is my height or taller cause I've tried dating shorter and he was always very insecure about it and I hated the fact that I could never be the little spoon. I like feeling small. So yeah, I feel like a height preference is a good thing, but girls who are like 5' tall and asking for 6'+ guys are the ones who ruin… | /r/MensRights | 09/12/18 06:21 PM |
