I get catcalled on a daily basis. I don't dress in a way that's revealing, I just have a nice body so everything I wear looks good. It's really as annoying as "they" make it seem. I don't mean the more innocent flirtations, I understand that people are looking for love and relationships and just because I'm taken doesn't mean they know that. I'm talking about people entering my personal space and having obvious intent. I live in a suburb but it's becoming increasingly like the city, so that's pr…

I find that putting orange or lemon peels down the disposal does really well!

I'm planning on making him a rack to hold all of his medals! It's going to be painted like the Texas flag and will have a chalkboard portion to write all of his achievements on. Also grey sweatpants lol.

I don't really wear face makeup other than to cover up a pimple but I find that this Garnier moisturizer with SPF in it really gives my skin a glow that makes it look like I am wearing makeup. It doesn't list this as a perk but it makes me look a little airbrushed and I love that the SPF isn't too greasy.

Super simple, inexpensive & hearty Chicken & Rice slow cooker meal, my go to! 2-3 chicken breasts 1 family sized can of cream of chicken (you can also use 3 normal cans of cheddar broccoli!) 2 bags of uncle ben's microwavable long grain wild rice handful of baby carrots 1 cup of water Just plop it all in your slow cooker with the chicken at the bottom, and mix the rice & cream of chicken together. Let it cook for 4 hours on high/8 on low. It's amazing and you won't be able to limit yourself to o…

I'm in a similar situation. A long time ago my boyfriend and I make a homemade pizza and it was really fun, we also made a salad and little finger foods to go along with it. We poured our drinks (probably lemonade or something) into wine glasses which was pretty cute. It was a normal day but it ended up being kind of special. Something about making a pizza is more fun than making say, spaghetti together. You don't do it every day. As hard as it can be (believe me, I know) make an effort to leave…

I always turn on a candle unless there's a really good smell already from cooking. It's not that my place smells bad, it just makes everything feel more home-y :)

high bar squatting targets quads. try low bar squatting for glutes/hamstrings, especially with a wide stance.

One really distinct memory I've always cherished included my grandma. I stayed at their house a lot as a kid and I remember waking up from a nightmare and going into the kitchen, it must have been around 4:30am because it was dark outside but my grandpa was getting up for work (he worked in construction, blue collar, hot Texas sun). My grandma was making him his coffee and breakfast. I remember sitting with them as my grandpa ate and my grandma sat with him and talked. I just think it was very n…

they definitely limit me, I pull sumo so my long nails ALWAYS scratch my quads, specifically my "over" hand because I pull over under grip.

I went through this too! My taste is very mid century with gemstones and natural colors, like yourself. Whereas my boyfriend's was very cut and dry black and white so as not to create too much chaos, and he HATED knick knacks :( Go shopping together, and remember not to take any criticism too personally. I did a couple of times and it did not go so well! Find things you can't really argue with, like certain textiles and picture frame decor. As for hunting stuff I can't really find a way around i…

I've had a similar experience. Always have a back massage ready and keep your home tidy and inviting, with relaxing candles. Be open to talk about his day, but don't bring it up if it doesn't need to be. Remind him that home is home and work is work, and to let the workday end and to stop thinking about it. Give him some time to himself, but be there for him, and THEN give him all the attention he could ever want. My boyfriend had an extremely taxing job that really killed his quality of life, a…

I somewhat agree, but I think learning to adjust to learning how to date, trial/error in your 20's vs. high school would be very hard!

I've always questioned how this applies to college aged people who have been in the same relationship since high school.

I’m a young college aged adult and I’m dating my high school sweetheart. We met on the first day of high school and have been together ever since. We live together, shop together, work out together and love each other so very dearly. We have discussed the only reason we haven’t gotten married is because of norms and finances. The only kids I knew who got married right after HS were knocked up, and I don’t want to be not taken seriously as a couple and have the question of “are they going to make…

My boyfriend’s very goal oriented with powerlifting so his diet is very cut and dry and repetitive. Back when he was cutting weight I tried out a bunch of new recipes for baking and he couldn’t even eat any of them, my heart was kinda torn when I realized. Now that we both went vegan we’ve been able to cook together and try new things which I’ve really enjoyed, but I wish sometimes I could just prepare a nice dinner more often and not just on special occasions because it makes ME feel good to do…

I recommend wearing earrings that attract attention, either by color or size. I love seeing black women who did a big chop and regrowing their natural hair with big earrings, I think it looks very fashion forward. In addition, fake eyelashes always add a feminine touch to any look.

When I used to get my nails "done" I would always choose in season colors like brights for the summer to compliment my tan and darks in the winter to compliment my clothing. I used to get a pretty short coffin nail, but now I keep my nails natural and just polish them. As I've grown out of my teens I've gone for nude tones, like the ones Kim Kardashian uses on her makeup packaging (I know, weird, but I fell in love with that color). I think it looks clean and natural, but still "done" enough to …

Hey there! I recommend curling it! I know it might make it look a little shorter but I always felt way prettier when my short hair was curly, I cut it when I was very young. I recommend taking prenatal or haircare vitamins, and not over washing it.

Hi there! Losing fat will be the best bet at losing any size on your waist. Know that waist size is highly genetic, and to keep your expectations reasonable. That being said, here are my tips! Don't do weighted exersizes that specifically target the abs, because this will grow muscle on the abdomen and make your waist WIDER. The key to a toned waist is to do bodyweight exersizes. Work on growing your LATS! More defined, sculpted lats make your waist look smaller in comparison, this same logic ap…

I don't think I'd ever sign anything like that just because I'm a stickler about the condition of my home, i.e. I always hang up the towels. None of the things apply to me, but I for some reason or another find it sweet because the guy's making room for required quality time on wednesdays and fridays, and in the mornings. If I was presented that specific contract, I'd sign it, but that doesn't apply to all contracts.

I've been with my boyfriend for 4 years, and we just started living together. Truthfully, the whole "you'll never know someone until you live with them" thing didn't ring true for us! The only "issues" that occured is that he doesn't put the laundry neatly in the hamper and leaves the lights on when he's not in the room, but obviously they're super small and not even an inconvenience. As far as "getting pregnant," thanks to the pill we won't have any until we're ready. As far as finances, we spl…

This is gonna sound cheesy but the worst part of Grey's Anatomy was how Christina kept getting giggity and excited whenever patients would have to have major surgery, and how excited she would be when major accidents in town happened because she would get a chance at operating. It was super evil to me.

I feel like modern day feminism really detriments the family dynamic when it comes to this (obv). I know so many women who work all day while their husband's work too, and the children are hauled into daycare or left for the school to parent, which I think is absolutely crazy. There is so much less parenting and quality time in those relationships that I know harms the relationship between parent and child. My fiancee and I live together, and I don't work because I'm a full time college student.…
