Trans Women Disclosing - Hypotheticals vs RealityI guess I think of it like this... If I go to a museum and I pay an entrance fee of 2 dollars, it's quite a bit different than me donating 2 dollars. I think there is a moral difference from being compelled to do something versus doing it out of what I think develops a healthy relationship. I categorically believe that there is no legal right to this information. This is tied up in my personal politics and worldview (I don't believe in rape by deception). As far as a moral right, for there to be… | /r/MensRights | 10/05/11 02:52 AM
Trans Women Disclosing - Hypotheticals vs RealityWell, if it helps you not make broad based generalizations about every single trans person... I personally, would and do always disclose to any partner prior to intimacy as a matter of moral standing. I believe the moral choice is to disclose. However, I agree with the OP in the assertion that both my partner doesn't have a right to that information and that I shouldn't have to disclose as some sort of requirement. But, even if suddenly all of society accepted every trans woman as a woman and tr… | /r/MensRights | 10/05/11 02:29 AM
Should a 'Trans-girl' let you know that she used to be a man before sex? Not according to the folk of /r/transphobiaproject.What point? That it's all based on statistics? And only if the statistics reach a certain percentage does the burden begin to shift onto more than one person? Personally, I think that's a bit ludicrous. You can't take ALL the blame off yourself. What happened to personal responsibility? I'm not saying a transsexual or any person who has had genital corrective surgery (1 in 1000) has no responsibility in such a situation, I'm saying you both share responsibility. If I can breach delicate subjects… | /r/MensRights | 10/05/11 01:26 AM
Should a 'Trans-girl' let you know that she used to be a man before sex? Not according to the folk of /r/transphobiaproject.For perspective, if you live in louisiana it's more likely your partner has an STD than fake boobs. But more likely that she's had genital surgery than an STD in utah. | /r/MensRights | 09/05/11 10:23 PM
Should a 'Trans-girl' let you know that she used to be a man before sex? Not according to the folk of /r/transphobiaproject.Well, I think based on what many men have said those born with nonstandard genitalia, etc should be included. Ultimately, we come to 1-2% of women. But even if we only include those who have had genital correcting surgery we get to around 1 in 1000. The commonality of breast aug is around 9 in 100. So while more common, it's not like so remarkably more common to make that big a difference. So based on good statistics it's really the odds are either bad for both, or good for both. Because on the … | /r/MensRights | 09/05/11 10:09 PM

Should a 'Trans-girl' let you know that she used to be a man before sex? Not according to the folk of /r/transphobiaproject.But for some guys it's a big deal. In fact, if you judge based on reddit, the majority of men find implants to be a major turn off and would not want to sleep with a woman that had them. As such, is it your perceived severity of the "lie of omission" that makes you categorize them differently? It feels like a double standard. Personally, as I said before, I feel like the burdon lies on both individuals to disclose and ask about these types of things (if you think I mean to day to every girl you … | /r/MensRights | 09/05/11 08:26 PM

Should a 'Trans-girl' let you know that she used to be a man before sex? Not according to the folk of /r/transphobiaproject.Should a woman disclose her breast augmentation before sex, or should the person who has a problem with such augmentation that is unnatural be the one responsible for requesting that information? Pre coitus negotiation is fairly delicate, but fairly important for a responsible adult. I personally, have no intention of sleeping with someone who has an STD, so I bring it up. But I also hope that if someone had an STD they'd tell me before we slept together regardless if I asked or not. I personall… | /r/MensRights | 09/05/11 04:40 AM
