Taking care of yourself and being employed is a high bar…? I’m not sure I understand the point of this.

Ha your right. Tbh It was a rhetorical question. I really just want her to start thinking more in-depth about her mindset.

I have a question for you. Are you happy?

What happened millenia ago doesn’t matter. What matters is the present; and in the present woman can do what they want. Men aren’t their masters. Woman can be fully independent. No one has a monopoly on a woman’s body. Most couples aren’t considering having children. I want you to understand something, and this is very important so please read this carefully and don’t just skim over what I am typing. I beg you to think carefully about this. FDS is openly transactional. Theoretically if every sin…

No, goofy. It encourages shallow, transactional relationships. If rich poor pursue poor woman and vice versa their will always be antagonism between men and woman based on wealth. If millions of men do this it would make dating culture even more toxic than it already is.

The issue is that theirs a lot of men thinking the same thing, and it encourages gold-digging. The strategy might work for a little while but it’ll just make things worse for everyone.

That’s a ludicrous claim. You don’t know any of them. How can you even judge?

Maybe true, but keep in mind Freakonomics was written well before the global lockdowns destroyed everybody’s mental health.

I wouldn’t know about the casual scene to be honest. I am not interested in it and don’t think about it, only the long term scene. I agree that the numbers thing is death by a thousand cuts, but that’s why I just don’t look at it that way. Honestly I think everyone would be better off by logging on a few times a week, introducing yourself to a few special people that catch your eye, and logging off. I haven’t had any success (oh well!) but I think it’ll pay off one day. But it’s not a destructiv…

it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that a sub full of seismic narcissists that live on the internet are a ton of losers in real life.

I am a male and I think this is too broad a generalization. When you look at things from such a birds-eye view, everything conceivable becomes a numbers game. Odds of passing high school, catching the common cold, breaking your knee cap, buying a winning stock, getting a bachelor’s degree, or winning a video game can all be reduced to being a “numbers game”. I think a better mindset is to say “my odds as a male are XYZ%, but I can take certain actions that bump that up by ABC%” But I do agree th…

This does remind me of a quote: “money talks, wealth whispers” Not sure where I heard this, or who said it, but I think it’s valuable to know. Using wealth to attract others is attracting a shallow person. You may attract more partners, but are they quality people? Not likely. Endlessly chasing others by luring then in with material wealth is a waste of your emotional and financial resources. Edit: can someone explain what this “high value” and “low value” male ideology is? I am not familiar wit…

I strongly disagree that business owners should rule the senate. Firstly, Self employed business owners don’t produce most of the output in the nation (corporations do) despite being a majority of business entities. Having government only dominated by one class (small business) means legislation will be skewed in their favor, not the other way around. They would either use their legislative monopoly to terrorize larger corporations or simply squash workers to increase profits. Second, small busi…

That's throwing away the entire Bill of Rights and Constitution, and replacing it with what is pretty close to martial law. That's literally less than one percent of the population being able to vote, and would have very negative effects for America since having only such a small minority being able to vote would mean the government becomes dominated by military interests. Anything related to the economy, social issues, etc would be rendered irrelevant.

So what your saying is that only military members should be choosing the president????

But why are men less wealthy when in relationships? I don't understand. Wouldn't it be better since the two could pool their resources?

No. It carries too much risk a person should sink funds into. Even though i would advise NEVER touching bitcoin, I would at LEAST diversity and put a very small percentage of your total investment portfolio into bitcoin. edit: Well diversified portfolios like index funds, acorns, and Stash are far safer and are still giving a large rate of return while the bull market is still going. Why waste previous time waiting for bitcoin to miraculously grow while the rest of the economy is doing great? Pl…

I agree large corporations should institute a higher wage, but this is impossible. Corporations must pay for -capital equipment -interest on loans - transportation -marketing - employee training -HR departments -Accountants -Analysts -Land etc, etc The concept of not profiting off of the labor at all would lead to commerce becoming impossible.

Do not attempt a get rich quick scheme to be executed successfully. You should either go in it for the long run via investing in mutual funds or using CD’s or government bonds. Mutual funds = Very safe, long run options. Basically a “set it and forget it” investment. It is already diversified, and is sort of like one big, super stock, for many MANY different companies, investment banks, CD’s, stocks, etc etc. So no need to diversity much! Your friends on wall street did it for you in this case. …

Your free to go by the Rick Sanchez interpretation (ie: “love is a hormone that compels animals to breed, break the cycle, focus on science”) you likely won’t have much enjoyment without oxycontin or related chemicals in life, from a scientific standpoint. These chemicals are only released when your with a partner, so yes love does exist.

The sub is so addicting since it’s based on hate. I may not subscribe to the MGTOW way of life or their interpretation of history or anything like that, but I still visit often every once in a while I agree with a post (like #metoo being a negative force rather than a positive one) and pure curiosity.

Why would you come onto this thread for this question? This is one of the most biased threads in the whole site that features dozens of anti-woman / anti-relationship images and posts. To the naked eye it would seem deep down you want a relationship, you just want others to convince you to reject the concept. See the part of you that wants a girlfriend is the side of you that evolution gave you. The desire to find a mate, to have the most minor chance to pass genes to the next generation. The pa…
