There is nuance here that isn't being acknowledged. Given the history of the world "white pride" has come to be associated with... lets just say bad things, while black pride is born as a counter to racism that said black is shameful.

Properly defining the word and in OP case giving an understanding of what it refers to is probably the best defense against gaslighting. Acting like it doesn't exist and it's just some made up thing. Reality is there are traits among men that we as men need to address.

Just because it's used to gaslight doesn't mean its not a real phenomenon. Identify the origins (even as questionable and cringey as you just did) doesn't change the issue that there are real traits that men exhibit that are harmful often to other men too.
