So, I tried it today and it was a blast. I met cool people there, mostly dudes lol, but they have my same vibe and it was cool to meet people alike. They were very friendly. When I got to the venue I greeted everyone with a fist-to-fist greeting saying “hello nice to meet you” “are you running?” just small talk. I felt my social skills showing up again. There were three pretty ladies, who may have gazed at me, I don’t know exactly, but since I was the most jacked guy there honestly, I believe so…

I will totally try volleyball! I used to play when I was a beach lifeguard

People at my gym don’t even look up or face you, so you don't have the opportunity to say hello. I think I will have to take the first step and say ‘Hey Hi’ even if they haven't noticed me or don't make eye contact first.

Thanks for the insight. I’m Trying to step my feet on the door with this. Any practical advice?

The situation is the opposite here in Mexico. I’m taking 1000 USD (18000 MXN) a month. Government here pays peanuts to lifeguards. Which is decent here. But I get you, girls may be thinking the same as you.

I do, and I do it pretty well. As I mentioned before, I don't plan to do shit risking someone's life or my job

Not trying to be one lol. I really meant it. I can't play games trying to get the hottest girl around when I’m at work, on duty, or not. So the fallen apples will be the best options, already showing interest I don't think they are going to complain if I hit up.

Great advice. It suits perfectly to my situation perfectly.

I even worry about girls complaining to my manager about me being pushy or idk. So, I’ve never approached clients before, even outside working hours… until yesterday. As other commentators say, the best way is to hit up only those who show interest.

What you mean by hit up other guards? Female lifeguards don’t exist in Mexico, lol.

Sure, always do. That’s why I haven’t got a pick up in 10 years of lifeguarding. I worry too much about my job. But now loneliness is getting me.

Clarity helps a lot. It's like opening Pandora's box; a lot of things come out of it. I mean clarity in what happened to you, and what happened to her. In my specific case, it helped me not to spiral down so hard into guilt.

Sorry you went through that. That's what I wanted to avoid, looking back at life and feeling like I wasted my partner and my potential. And thanks for sharing your story. It gave me a picture of what could have happened if I would had stayed.

Bro, I was a kid… One doesn't come to life knowing everything about relationships or oneself. Don't you think I wouldn't have married if I knew I was going to fuck up? I thought she was the one. I feel miserable. A damn disappointment to her, to my family, and everybody who thought we were a happy couple. I know all that is my responsibility and that's why I'm taking action. I just wanted to get off my chest and thought maybe some Divorce Men could get me. This is not the first time I've dealt w…

Thanks for your openness. Tbh, I didn't know the majority of this group are in that situation. Do you know of any subreddit for pricks like me? I mean I don't wanna be it anymore, that's why I divorced and kept distance. And I promised myself I won't play games with girls anymore. Been breaking hearts for a long time and I didn't know how to stop. I just fall in love and then it dies inside me. It's time for me to be alone and change the way I relate to women.

Yes, and amongst other problems. But a new independent life was the decision maker. I’ve been in relationships since I was 13 years old, and hadn't been single for more than a year since then. Sorry for the lack of clarity.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
