3	Advice about trade schools I went into a trade school to become a diesel tech after working in factories for a year and a half. School was pretty boring for me already being somewhat knowledgable hands on. Did the trade program for two years and started working as a truck technician after the second semester. Went from making $12.5k a year to $16k within a year of changing careers and now make $48k a year after finishing the diesel program.
