OYS #15. STATS: 22M, 5'9", 155.0lbs, ~13% BF. Single. Discovered RP 2018. Fitness stats: Bench: 135lbs | Squat: 145lbs | Overhead Press: 85lbs | Deadlift: 155lbs | Barbell Row: 125lbs | Bicep Curls: 60lbs PHYSICAL: Nothing really to report here. I'm on break so I don't have access to gym, just a bench press and some weights in the basement. I haven't been lifting too regularly, just here and there. I'll be going back up to school in the next week, so it'll be good to get back in the gym. Weight …

Not as good the past week with finals coming to a close. I've had a little bump in diet again, but nothing to significant that lost me weight. I'm getting back up to previous lifts. I've been developing my core more, so it's getting more toned.…

FTFY My man ;) How? If I can get in front of them and to where they can test my frame, and see how strong it is. This will be one way I can gain respect. I will also implement ideas from the 48 laws of power; use my job as a training ground.

The way you will know if you're truly red pilled is if the life you're living reflects the beliefs you hold. If you say you see the importance of lifting, but fail to lift, even if you're capable of doing so, have you really accepted it as something integral in a mans life? If you say you understand frame, but lack it when you talk to women, then has the red pill actually changed you life in this respect or was it really just an intellectual ascent? Most guys will understand red pill concepts, b…

No. Premarital sex is not endorsed on this sub as it is a sin. You can read more about why we believe so here: https://www.reddit.com/r/RPChristians/comments/85wf8w/is_sex_outside_of_marriage_a_sin_an_official/ That being said, there have been a few users who have come in - most likely from secular rp - and made posts where they don't entirely condemn it. Their view is not aligned with ours, and even more so, scripture.

I will write out my short term mission next time. This one includes my plans for school and how that connects with my overarching mission. This is good. Do you plan on posting what you've written? Yes, I usually make weekly posts on my alternate account for r/TrueChristian. The only thing I would add at this point is to look for the leading of the Holy Spirit in all of these things and be willing to adjust your plans based on His guidance. While it's not explicit, my Mission will always be based…

If anything, all it will do is stop it from happening for a little while. You will find away around it, if not give it up entirely. I've been there, it's putting a bandage on a broken bone. Stop thinking in terms of: "I need to turn away from this sin." Rather, think in terms of: "I need to turn towards Jesus." The way you do this is to become something else entirely. Are you producing fruit? Are you living as how Jesus and his disciples lived? Is that the direction you're headed? If not, you're…

I will look to add more stamina, I'm going to look into having a sprint routine in my off days. What needs to be done? And what's preventing you from doing it? Definitely the days where I lose motivation and discipline. How I start my day is how my day will go. If I wake up checking my phone, going on YouTube/reddit, then my chances of falling into temptation later on in the day goes up exponentially. These are days I chose to study scripture and pray. I will take what you have said regarding my…

What are your thoughts on this passage? What are your takeaways? How do you internalize what Kevin Craig is saying? I agree with some of what his website says. I don't think Paul intended Romans 13 as a way to tell us to blindly support all government regardless of the policies they have. If that were the case, he would be in conflict with Acts 4:19-20 and Acts 5:29. Thus the believers in China, the middle east, etc would have to obey those authorities and not worship God. This would be absurd. …

They say we just need to “focus on the gospel”… Is this not true? Is the Church not more than a building? Is it not more than a safe place to hang out with your friends every week while getting free childcare and coffee? It's more than those things and the Gospel is the focus of it. …and cower to all of these leftist edicts and have “worship” in our parking lot trapped inside of our cars. Is it not written in Romans 13:1-14 that every person be subject to the governing authorities, because it wa…

Sounds like you're making some good progress! Especially with taking a step forward in youth ministry. Those kids could definitely use a masculine figure to look up to. Especially when it's a young guy like you. I’m on track to graduate end of the year. But I’m afraid I will end up like my cousin (and so many other guys): 28, working full time, single and nobody on the radar at all. What's wrong with that? If I interpreted your statement correctly. It sounds like your worry is you won't been in …

Failed NoFap three times. Was really disappointed in myseld. I think the bigger problem is that it causes me to “hide” in shame from God One of the biggest things that helped me with NoFap was addressing the root of that shame. In the past, it seemed to be an endless cycle: PMO -> Feel Ashamed -> Plead to God saying I will never do it again -> PMO again. The cycle continued. In my case, the root of my shame was my lack of faith. I hadn't realized it prior to my brother pointing it out. I had bel…

This is a good start. Now think about how you can apply those activities - via resources, knowledge, or connections - to expand the kingdom by making disciples. It's not directly related to your question, but it is something you should look to develop, as most things in your life will start to revolve around it. And that includes relationships.

I can relate to what you’re going through. At the start of the pandemic, I was unmotivated, not working out (I wouldn’t consider pull-ups and pushups working out unless it’s high intensity), lazy, depressed, and whiny because things weren’t going the way I wanted them to. I would make up excuses for why I was failing. “Well if it wasn’t for this virus, I’d still be hitting the gym, studying for classes more, reading the bible more…” The list goes on. When I did this, I would feel guilty for not …

Hoping the church starts hosting services in the building again, just to see everyone again. What’s stopping you from seeing them now? Or at least communicate with them via phone, zoom, text, or whatever? Discipleship and fellowship with other believers shouldn’t stop when the church shuts its doors. I think a lot of Christians have become reliant on Sunday service, to where when it’s taken away, they don’t know what to do. I.e., they don’t partake in fellowship, study, prayer, or discipleship w…

Thanks for the reply! I don't see a problem in setting 'unrealistic' goals. At least I don't think of my goal as being unrealistic. Aggressive? Possibly, but not totally unrealistic. I do agree I could gain more from setting short term, attainable goals, where my focus is increasing lifts and getting stronger now, rather than looking stronger later. As for books I've read: I've read most of the sidebar compendium, though I need to continue referencing back to it. I've read the first few chapter …
