She seems like a real pleasure to be around.

This is a fine example of how any two people can put their heads together and come to a conclusion about something for which neither are experts nor have all the data and then share with everyone how they've solved a major problem. It's not just Harris and Cooper that do it. But in this particular case it is.

I have personally experienced where passing on any information at all was labeled as "mansplaining."

Kind of a "he dead, she said" situation now.

Just the general idea that one consenting adult is not "permitted" by some in society to have a relationship with another consenting adult because there are perceived differences between them is ludicrous and just emphasizes the whole idea that people should just mind their own fucking business. It screams of fake outrage to me. Just because you call something "taboo" doesn't make it taboo. STFU already. I don't need anyone's permission or consent other than mine and the person I'm with. Fat/thi…

The struggle is real. As a 50 year old divorced cis male I hear so much of this. And I only ever hear it from women. Attraction to another person doesn't limit itself to +/- 5 years of your age. As if what I want from a relationship isn't limited enough already. Sheesh.

You are clearly with a woman whose self worth is defined by being acknowledged sexually. You cannot fix that. She will need therapy. You can either stick with her and help her get therapy or leave.

Thanks. That's a generous compliment.

What you are experiencing is called brotherhood. It's really not difficult to befriend another man. You barely even need any more in common than just being a man. I once had a friendship start from a conversation of how we liked the same beer. It's good that you are breaking down these barriers that others have built for you. The man that you are needs these kinds of connections, no matter your sexual preference. Many men are much more accepting and forgiving than society gives them credit for. …

Personally, I have learned to express myself to women, but with the caveat that I don't give a shit what they think about it.

"I support you until you need to be supported." "I am fine with you having time to yourself or with your friends until you want to have time to yourself or with your friends." "I want to do the thing that you want to do until the time comes that you want to do the thing you want to do." I have been through it myself. I'm now happily divorced.

My immediate answer is that we're men and we're expected to be able to "take it like a man." I think too it's retaliation or backlash against the historical threat some men have posed and that we are, therefore, guilty by association.

Young (ages 22-30), childless women outearn young, childless men by 8% because those young, childless women are strippers, pornstars, and camgirls.

I am male and typically only observe the posts in this subreddit, but wanted to comment based on my own experience. This is just my two cents. Perhaps he is being harsh. Perhaps he is not. Without his side of the story we really cannot tell. So I have to go on your own words. The things you have done (by your own admission), though, (exerting independence and/or contrariness even over the littlest things, being inconsiderate of your captain, not following agreed upon guidelines, not keeping or b…

Well, it appears the solution to not "staring" at women in the workplace will be to no longer have women in the workplace.

Guy here too. This man is in no way a RP man. It sounds to me like he's read bits and pieces that sound good to him but ultimately he is misinterpreting the concept and pushing everything off on you to make it work. I understand that a pay cut is a huge slap to one's ego, but no reason to exert dominance over your spouse. Likely what is happening is that he is a weak man and realizes that you are in a much more dominant position than he and he is taking advantage of you. His attempts to get you …

Agreed. This advice feels off the mark. Seems like a good way to get a homeless guy to want to fuck you though.

What's the likelihood that she got 25 years more for being a "homely" pedophile than one of those typically "pretty" ones? It seems to me the relatively attractive female pedophiles get far lighter sentences.

The idea that you could meet "secret hot friends" is not exclusive to rowing. You could run into secret hot friends at the grocery store if you were so inclined. It seems to me that there is some insecurity on his part that he is reluctant to admit to. His fear may be unfounded in your relationship, but is probably rooted in some uncomfortable past experience. Having not told you specifically why he doesn't want you to go, one can only assume. I hope, for your sake, that he doesn't act this way …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
