I'm not too sure about that. I don't think a woman's "crippling social anxiety" would be anywhere near as big a turn off for a man, as it would be with the genders reversed. The reason is that a women's vulnerability can actually be attractive to men, as it triggers their natural protective instincts. That's quite a simple problem. There is an inverse correlation between wealth and fertility rates. Look at birth rates by country - the most economically depressed countries have the highest birth rates, and the wealthiest countries have the lowest birth rates. The more economically advanced a nation becomes, generally the more liberal it becomes, and the more liberal it becomes the more it drives birth rates down.
