I second this. I slip into baby voice out of anxiety or when I’m deeply disconnected from the person. Especially if this is a change from before.

I don’t think you should suggest anything at all. At the most I would say that you’re proud of him for sticking it out empathize by saying he’s a strong person for dealing with the environment for so long and then throw in something like “you always know the right decision to make and i trust that you will know the right time to move on and they won’t know what to do with out you”. Suggestions in my personal experience should not be made unless you are asked.

Thank you for sharing. Congrats on pursing nursing. I’ve been a nurse for 10 years and can honestly say the profession is not much different from other professions. There is a lot of corporate culture, competitiveness, physical work, management demands and much more. I now work from home for an insurance company and many people can’t understand why i prefer this pseudo stay at home role. I think you’re fairly young and recognizing these traits in your self is a huge accomplishment in its self. Congrats to you! I would Try to evaluate trends in my own behavior, things that trigger you or even days of the month or times of the day. Get to know your self as you are as much as you can, that may help you to curb the behaviors that you want to change.
