I didn’t realize I just “got” pregnant. Seems like my husband “got” me pregnant just as much as I did.

It’s because it’s wrong to directly and intentionally kill an innocent and defenseless human being.

1: if we allow abortions only in the case of rape and incest, are you okay with banning all the rest of them? 2: the reason we shouldn’t allow people to intentionally kill innocent and defenseless human beings seems pretty obvious 3: the world is not remotely overpopulated 4: conservatives are against homelessness and high costs of healthcare. That’s why we support serious restrictions on drugs, mandatory rehab as a part of the procedure to address vagrancy, and sit-lie bans. We also support fre…

“Abortion doesn’t hurt the baby” Being dismembered or having an induced heart attack definitely hurts. “It’s not even a baby until the last month” What is it? A turtle? “Equality is giving everyone the chance to make their own choices” Except the human being in the womb? Except the father who may not wish you to exterminate his child? “Stop forcing people to become parents if they’re not ready!” Mandatory child support seems like forcing a responsibility on a father who ‘isn’t ready to be a pare…

This person just makes things up. A baby in the first trimester is not remotely “brain dead”. Even if you use the “it’s okay to pull the plug for brain dead people in comas” argument, why don’t we actually consider a similar circumstance rather than two totally different situations? What if someone was in a coma with a brain injury that resulted in limited brain activity, however, you were advised that the person would be completely healthy and normal within 9 months time? I think most people wo…

“They have access to more lethal options” Oh I forgot how it’s illegal to buy a gun if you’re a woman, I better go turn myself in. Another, well-supported reason that women attempt but do not succeed more frequently is because they are not actually trying to kill themselves in many cases but rather crying for help.

That “particular female celebrity” is transparently lying in court and in the court of public opinion trying to destroy an innocent man’s career and reputation. Nobody likes liars, especially liars who try to ruin honest people, it doesn’t matter if they are men or women.

Women are more salient to men than other men are - we grab attention. When they appear or speak, we tend to be memorable for men. Either way, I showed this to my husband and he said “you know I’ve been thinking you girls are really outnumbering us in this family.” There’s two girls and two boys in our family :)

It’s amazing how the “feminists” want to erase all the women who disagree with them. I certainly do not want myself or my daughter to be enslaved or treated like second class citizens. I just don’t want my husband or son to be treated like garbage either.

Well, I don’t particularly care if you like or dislike how I phrased it. I am not going to apologize for calling it like I see it. It was a limp-wristed little slap, watch the video for yourself. She could not possibly have broken his nose with that strike.

He clearly does shove her first in the arm before she gives that limp-wristed little slap on the top of his head. She did start it from this video because he was walking away and she dragged him back by the book bag, but he does push her before she slaps him.

I turn 33 in a few weeks and my husband still thinks I’m pretty. We’ve been together 10 years and he had a crush on me when we met 20 years ago. It’s not about having the audacity to age. It’s that you should have settled down in your youth so that you’d have a man who makes you feel beautiful because he still sees you that way. This is just your bitter regret; not something men are doing wrong.

You haven’t provided any evidence of what your claiming, and you did lie about early onset preeclampsia and placental abruption. It’s not a matter of opinion, it’s not a disagreement - it’s a flat out lie. It’s not narcissism to notice someone is lying to you, but it is gaslighting to call someone a narcissist because they call you out on it. How many babies have you had? How many high risk pregnancies? How many cancers? I am a Hodgkin’s Lymphoma survivor who has had three pregnancies, two of wh…

You obviously didn’t read any of the links I gave you. The one regarding cancer specifically said most treatments don’t need to be delayed, and that not delaying in most cases won’t cause problems. Of course they all say “most,” this is science, not your weird feelings about how it’s fine to kill babies. We make tentative models based on evidence and it changes over time. You will not see a single medical condition that gives outcomes based on ALL, even if it is the case that virtually nobody ha…

You are literally incorrect. At the first doctor’s appointment, even a cancer diagnosis doesn’t guarantee the woman and her baby will definitely die and turn into a countdown to their inevitable death. You can even read about it here. “In many cases, cancer will not result in the need to terminate your pregnancy. However, in some cases, you might have to deliver your baby earlier than planned.” There is literally nothing there that indicates you have a death sentence unless you kill your baby. T…

I am currently 7 months pregnant with my third baby. Your scenario is like, imaginary. The only complication I can think of that would fit this bill is ectopic pregnancy, where the baby has implanted into the tube instead of the uterus. In that case, the tube very often has to be removed to save the woman’s life. This is not the intentional and direct murder of the baby - the baby dies as an unfortunate result of the procedure. And you definitely CAN NOT take an abortion pill with an ectopic pre…

What is a woman?
/r/AntiFeminists26/03/22 08:37 AM

Right, in your culture it’s unusual to hear it referred to that way. I understand how that is confusing if you aren’t used to it. Perhaps like if a person who smoked marijuana said they were “baked” and you were confused because you’d never heard it before and thought they were baked like a cake. Or if you hadn’t heard of vocational training or athletic training but you were most familiar with dog training and that’s how you equated the word.
/r/AntiFeminists26/03/22 01:49 AM
1

Oh, yes, I can see where the confusion was. No, it’s not at all like training a dog.
/r/AntiFeminists26/03/22 01:26 AM

Okay. I find most people are unfamiliar with Judaism generally, so I assumed that was why you thought I was talking about dog training.

Okay, well I regret that my choice of words for “teaching your children how to behave respectfully” offended you because it is a common way to describe it in my religious tradition that might not be as familiar to you. If you feel that makes me beneath your respect, then I guess there isn’t anything I can really do about that. Take care.
/r/AntiFeminists26/03/22 01:12 AM

I’m just trying to reply to you - you approached me first, sent through many snide comments, and then ironically said you’d teach your possible future children to be respectful. I can’t imagine how, if this is the behavior you model for them.

You haven’t been very respectful to me during this conversation, I’m sorry to say.
/r/AntiFeminists26/03/22 12:45 AM

Well, everyone I know calls it that. Scripture says to “train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it”. So we talk about training a child in appropriate behavior in the home. What do you teach your children?
/r/AntiFeminists26/03/22 12:39 AM

Huh? You need to teach your children. Many parents do not. It’s not just dogs that need taught, do you think you were born knowing how to behave?

You sound like a feminist tbh - men and women should be equal in every way? The only women you respect are masculine women who perform male roles? You think men should be in the kitchen cooking and caring for children while the women are drafted into war? Yeah, sorry, I just don’t agree with your premise at all.
/r/AntiFeminists07/03/22 07:46 AM

Yeah, I’m sorry, I just don’t respect your view and I disagree with your premise but I do understand how the present times make it easier to feel this way - frustrated and angry (righteously so in many cases).
/r/AntiFeminists07/03/22 07:37 AM

I disagree - men and women can’t be equal because we aren’t equal. We have different roles that are both important. Society has just completely destroyed the dignity of men and women so much that it’s hard to see. When we choose to live our lives as nature/God intended, and eschew the degenerate norms of the present times, I think everyone is much happier. At heart, I don’t think men truly want to see women coursened by men’s labor, and women don’t want to see men softened by women’s labor. We s…

I can understand your frustration because you assume I am a feminist when I am not, and many women who wanted “equality” are now ironically espousing traditional views. I am not in any way diminishing the sacrifice and bravery of men overseas fighting for their freedom. We should also not slip into the trap of diminishing the bravery of mothers protecting their children alone. There have been a lot of fundraisers for the Ukrainian fighting forces and I don’t begrudge mothers sharing used strolle…

The men who are fighting are brave and important, they are getting a lot of positive press, too. There’s nothing wrong with also sparing a thought for women alone carrying their babies to depart their homes and not being sure if they will see their husbands or homeland again. That’s brave too, just in a different way. It doesn’t have to be a competition.

I find it interesting that there are certain behaviors that are associated with being a garbage person, and that those behaviors are different between men and women, and everyone acknowledges the behaviors of a garbage man, but there is so little acknowledgement of garbage woman behaviors. The crying, accusations of sexual assault, vacillating back and forth between pathetic/helpless and vitriolic/violent, these are all behaviors of unpleasant women. Not all women are like this, but ones that ar…

Most research in this realm disagrees with you. I conduct some of it. The reality that most women are happier in the “traditional” arrangement in no way criticizes or negates your happy non-traditional orientation. There is a quite strong defensiveness that arises whenever this is brought up from people who elect different lifestyles and it’s not warranted - especially when your conclusion is that you feel most people are happier and more benefited in non-traditional roles, which is the opposite…

I am also a woman, and I am a cognitive psychologist who does persistence and sex differences research through an evolutionary lens. I’m really glad that you are happy with your situation and it works out well for you. Obviously when we talk about generalities and averages it doesn’t fit every single person on earth. However, the general rule is true for the vast majority of women. It is not the case that nobody “in their right mind would want to be a financially dependent SAHM.” This is actuall…

What a stunning lack of biological education. Sexual reproduction is part of why human beings are so successful. Check out the Red Queen Theory. Edit: let me explain. There is technically not a requirement for there to be males. Females possess all of the required equipment to produce another being all by themselves. Indeed, there are many female-only species that produce exact clones of themselves. So, this raises the biological (not moral/value) question: why do we have males? One explanation …

I wanted to get married and have a family. I married my husband and we have been together for 10 years because he also wanted that same thing. We are best friends and I couldn’t imagine growing old or raising children without him. He is an amazing dad and husband and I try to be a good mom and wife. Idk if this answers your question but I love him and that’s why I dated and married him.

Great point, having sex as a minor should be illegal, that way the young woman will never be in a position to have custody of a baby, since she isn’t mature enough to raise it and you aren’t allowed to just kill people you don’t want.

Doubtless they allow men who call themselves women to come in, so it’s a pointless virtue signal anyway. We can’t even have strictly female-only restrooms.

I never said anywhere in my remark anything close to “no pleasure,” and the crux of my entire comment was that it does not matter THAT FGM is more severe. I never downplayed the severity - except to point out that not every single female circumcision includes clitoridectomy or infibulation. The premise of my comment was that even if FGM is more severe, that doesn’t make male circumcision acceptable and one can still oppose all unnecessary genital cutting. Perhaps you should read my comment again…

Anybody who writes a book specifically about one sex should expect to be asked about the other sex, especially when the practice impacts the other sex comparably more frequently. To use your analogy, it would be more like someone writing a book about men who are raped and then blocking anyone who asks anything about the rape rate among women. It’s a perfectly natural point to make, and someone who is looking into a field should be well able to discuss it. This author is not personally the victim…

….which is also an incredibly important issue if you care about child genital cutting and one you should expect to be asked about, particularly if you are writing about the kind of genital cutting that occurs in a comparably minute proportion of the population. Also, blocking someone for “discarding your hard work” (which isn’t what I think was being done, just a very obvious point being made) is incredibly childish. FGM doesn’t always entail clitoridectomy. I said it was fine to have a focus, I just don’t think it’s logically consistent to oppose genital cutting for females but to be ambivalent toward it in males. For example, I think it’s okay to write a book about murders of women, but it would be really strange to build a platform around the idea that it’s wrong to murder women but it’s a personal choice to murder men, even if the contexts around the most common scenarios for murder between the sexes are…

I’m so incredibly baffled by the people whose primary argument is that FGM is worse than male circumcision. Even if that were true, which I am not convinced it is, who gives a shit? It’s still UNNECESSARY GENITAL CUTTING. It just doesn’t make sense to build this platform around the idea that because FGM may be more destructive of more parts of the vulva that this makes MGM just fine. The severity of the mutilation is irrelevant to the issue of concern, which is that the genitals of children and …
