Ethics in general are going down the tube. So many problems, both here and in the WR threads, are along the lines of "here is a law that would not harm anyone if all people were reasonable, but since about 20% of society is composed of die-hard assholes, is likely to result in widespread discrimination and shitty behavior."

No, I just believe that most of western society is based on morality lessons that come from the bible and/or that the bible contains the majority of moral code that was used to found western civilization. What is the framework for doing that, though? The main point of feminism is to advance equality for women, and the main point of MR is to advance equality for men-- therefore each side needs to figure out a way to make it easy for the other to participate (if that makes sense?). Yep. For some people it's worth the trade-off. For me, not so much. I don't like the idea of a bunch of bros ogling my boobs for a few bucks a pop. But it's a great that women can do it and that men can pay for it. Also, men may consider stripping as well. It isn't discussed enough but if you work out you could make a handsome sm.

I disagree that it's feminist pork. As I stated above, I think it's an ill-informed attempt to confront a huge domestic violence problem. The real question lies in the assessors (who are, moreso than the victims, the final arbiters) and their ability to be impartial and rational. Unfortunately social services are so poorly-funded that this is rarely the case.

Feminism, as far as I understand (just, you know, as a feminist) is about the advocacy for equal treatment under the law, as well as the attempt to change certain aspects of de facto society that lead to people being victimized. Most feminists would strongly disagree with the sentiment in the title of this thread, and many (myself included) view pornography as a profession, albeit one in which woman are at liberty to make ridiculous amounts of money for doing basic physical labor. My gender studies course actively encouraged us to consider porn, stripping, etc., as a labor job similar to construction or roadwork.
