1	Another woman is not the answer The movie kinda glossed over it, but the book was less about masculinity in general, and more to do with fatherhood (or the lack of it) and how that affects your view of god. This particular quote, in context, is all about how not having a father can fuck you up. It certainly was about masculinity in many ways, but it didn’t have as much to do with how it relates to society as it did spiritually. Really recommend reading the book. There’s a major difference between what can be done and what deserves to be done. It wasn’t based off lies; his testimony was pretty condemning.
