Losing weight is not really her issue. Maybe 10 pounds? Maybe. She dresses a little dowdy, could improve her posture and presence, her hair is thick and shiny, makeup is simple yet nice, but her face is very plain. Maybe 5 or 6/10. They got together as teens. Maybe their tastes... have developed.

Yes, I was just curious about how a RPW would handle the situation. I don't advise her (nor anyone, actually) but was thinking if she were my daughter, how could I point her in the right direction? She's a sweet girl, but very insecure and his off-the-cuff remark certainly is not helping. The more I think about it, he probably let it slip because his friends really got him thinking. I've never met him, but the photo she showed me makes me wonder if they're mismatched. He's athletic and outgoing …

Yes, it was just the two of them. I think she writes him letters because she is super emotional, and doesn't communicate well face-to-face. I'm not sure about the quality of their relationship, she makes it seem like they're usually just doing their own thing and meet up occasionally. I don't know, I'd be worried that my partner doesn't respect me, my feelings, and our relationship by saying something so hurtful to me that is ultimately inconsequential. I don't think she was necessaryily compari…

This is a cross post from Red Pill Women. It didn't get much response over there. What would you do if you were the girl? How would you advise her if you were her mom (or friend)? I heard a troubling story the other day and wanted to hear what RPW think. A coworker shared with me that her long-time boyfriend told her that his friends thought the girlfriend he had before her was prettier and had a better body. She said she froze up and didn't say anything. Eventually she gave him a letter explain…

I would, too. Does anyone read the blog What Women Never Hear? It reminded me of how Guy talks about the difference between commitment and devotion. He sounds committed, since he's been with her so long, but not devoted since he lacks basic respect for her it seems doubtful he treats her with adoration otherwise.

He responded with a letter basically denying having said that and flipping it around on her, asking how she could believe that and he mentioned that she is beauti…

I was thinking about SMV and its subjectiveness. I came to the conclusion that men generally select women as long-term partners whose SMV at minimum complements their status within their specific community, but even better if it raises their status. Examples: I'm objectively pretty, but I possess physical qualities that are generally not deemed attractive to men within my community, such as extremely fair skin, curly hair, and being slightly taller than average. However, in my husband's communit…

Phantom, you're the coolest :) Thanks for taking the time to really vet the situation with me. I adore my husband, and he adores me. Which is why I'm here! I wanna make him feel happy, safe, and secure with me! I'm going to take your advice and leave gender out of the equation from now on.

Well, the guy's comment was bizarre, and I kind of ran with it. It's really not all that off-color compared to the things I see and hear from customers and waitstaff all the time. I'd say it in front of the owners. I have 0 male friends, I never go out alone, I have no desire to go to 'single' type places, no FaceBook, and when we go out we are side-by-side holding hands. ??? I guess I just have to not mention men, at all. It's confusing because I try to be pretty transparent with him. ETA and I…

I was telling my husband that I had a tough night at work, and 2 tables made it hard on me. This was one of the tables. The guy made a lot of little demeaning comments, but the big ones were, "Where is our bottle of wine? Is it going to walk over here and pour itself?" And then later when I found out we didn't have an appetizer they wanted, I asked if there was something else I could get them. The guy said, "A gun." I was like, "A gun???" He's like, "Yeah you don't have one?" I said, "No but I w…

Well, I work in a restaurant and I was telling my husband about some customers o had. I had a table of 3 people: 2 women, and 1 man (about my age - late 20s). The guy was harping on me and harping on me and giving me a hard time. He finally said something and I snapped a little and he finally let up. My husband thinks he was flirting with me. I don't see it at all - he never complimented, tried to touch me, etc. He was very rude. I think he was trying to impress the ladies.

How do you handle the situation when your SO/husband gets hurt or upset when he thinks another man was flirting with you (but acknowledges you did not initiate or encourage)?

My parents were uneducated, blue collar workers. They pushed, and pushed, and pushed their 3 kids to get an education. I now hold 2 degrees. One sibling dropped out of college, one dropped out of high school. Their argument held little water because they didn't do it themselves. And, also because the onus to pay for it was on us. Here's where my husband finds value in my education: above all else, it shows him that I was committed to something, struggled to achieve it, found ways to overcome obs…

Oh I do this too! I was using a melon baller to make a little snack and it took me foreverrrrr to figure out how to make perfectly round balls. Once I did, though, I filled his cup with the perfect ones.

I ruuuun to the door to unlock it when he comes home, and greet him with a big smile and a kiss. I have a healthy snack prepared for when he gets home from work (he works second shift, so something light). I have a stack of pre written post-its that I leave in random places, at random times. At first they were in English, now I'm stealing lines from songs in his native language haha because he adores it when I speak it for him.

My husband always tells me he likes that I wear very little makeup... The thing is, I wear quite a bit, but I use a light hand and subtle techniques. My goal is to enhance my features. My everyday routine: - Tinted lotion Concealer Thin liquid liner, slight cat eye (my eyes look huge!) Mascara Slight contouring (for a sun kissed look) Little bit of highlighting Coral blush Muted wine lip color, touch darker than natural lip color, not too shiny It takes just under 10 minutes to do.
