Oh no no no, I got fooled into listening to this guy last week. Never again.

I can’t fkn believe I watched that. I need to rethink everything.

My sympathies are limited. When you are mentally disturbed, you are still expected to work on that until it’s in remission or otherwise in check. This person is an adult who is clearly used to operating as a child. She needs this and more.

Lmao. “I’m not a defrauder.” Then the next sentence is, “This happens all the time.” Like, your repeating how often this happens is not doing what you think it is.

Additionally I'm pretty sure damaged hearing isn't death. Pretty pathetic to attack someone then blame the bodily damage you received in a single retaliatory strike on that same person. If you don't want to risk receiving potentially permanent damage, don't start fights.

The most predictable and pointless of all possible responses. Knew it was coming when I made the comment. I'm not "still here" (whatever the fuck that means- does to unsub mean to never post on?), I have unsubbed. I'm committing my opinion to the thread, which is that this post is shit and the overall shit-to-quality ratio on this sub in my mind warrants abandonment at this point. To whom the opinion will be valuable, I am unsure, but that comment plus this one took about two total minutes to wr…

Yeah, this tweet's rise to the top is making me unsubscribe.

Ohhhh you want her to run. Me too. But for whatever reason she's decided it's not time yet and she's kicking ass where she's at. I can't fault her for not rushing in for the promotion.

Because she has a career serving those same voters that she needs to very carefully consider.

Nah, Warren is legit. You can't expect her to step into the Hillary/Sanders bloodbath and start taking sides. She has her own job to think about, and she's already gone on record some time ago calling Hillary's record and integrity into question. It would have been nice to see her oppose HillDawg but we need Warren to do what's right for Warren in her political career.

I often hate this sub but I just have to comment. I don't make very much but I'm pretty decent looking and intelligent, tall, well-read and spoken, very friendly and respectful, I'm told I'm pretty funny, but I've been single for years because the girls my age who are still single (28-30) either have children, are total trainwrecks, or like this thread discusses, if a guy doesn't pass one of their several criteria, he's auto ruled out. I run into this a lot- I don't have a degree, so often girls…

No, I'm saying it should and we're incorrectly rationalizing the fact that it doesn't.

To me the "they're such a small country" explanation seems backwards. The United States aggressively built the most powerful nation in the history of the planet. In my opinion, the smaller countries should be the ones coming up with excuses for why they can't give their citizens the power and the high standard of living that the US is able to provide for its citizens, with its's vast wealth and power our ancestors and forefathers fought tirelessly to build and defend.

I understand it to a degree. I don't have kids but most of my friends do at this point. I've watched them grow up. My little brothers were born when I was a teenager. I changed their diapers and now they're going to college. I've gotten some small glimpse into what that's like. So I kinda understand the "my daughters are the most important thing in my life" mindset or the "I'd do anything for my little girl" mindset. But nobody else in the world cares about you or your kids. It doesn't mean anyt…

Maybe. I've seen these types decide to try to assert their dominance without any motivation from their wives/daughters. Just their presence is enough for them to puff their chests up over inane shit sometimes.

Exactly what this is. His life is so pathetic and boring that stuff like this is his excitement. Harassing RC aircraft hobbyists in noble defense of his perfect, precious, soon-to-be spoiled brain-dead brat daughter. The suburbs have distorted this guy's perception of reality. He thinks he's in control. These asswipes are everywhere. A couple years ago I was pulling into a suburban Bass Pro Shop (to get a gift card for someone for Christmas) and a father and his young daughters were crossing at …

I'd rather take my chances with the out-of-shape soccer dad than police. You never know what the hell you're gonna get when you bring the police into a situation.

I'm not saying it invalidates it. The argument against circumcision has inherent validity. But how someone says something can make it infinitely less or infinitely more persuasive for most people. Saying someone isn't altruistic enough to grasp what is a relatively simple concept is not going to endear them to your cause. It is dismissive when you are seeking to invite people to side with you. Being kind is way more effective. Especially when the subject matter is the male penis, which attracts …

The Old World includes quite a bit more than just Europe, including Africa, which has a sky-high circumcision rate. I don't know why Europeans don't do it, because I'm not inclined to care. Europe's involvement in an old tradition is not a prerequisite for it to be considered either old or a tradition.

I never said old traditions are great, and you're about as likely to put an abrupt end to burkas via angry rhetoric as you are to circumcision. Perspective change doesn't come from being adversarial and abrasive, it comes through education and constructive dialogue. This is the reason atheists get a bad rap. It doesn't matter if you're preaching a more moral or intelligent perspective if you're being nasty about it. That is my point. Not that the tradition is worth keeping.

You have missed my point. I'm not defending anyone. I'm illuminating how needlessly contentious people become over this issue.

I understand it, but it's ground zero for a lot of people with obvious penis issues. Supporters from both sides get very weird and angry about it (see: the commenter below who essentially insulted you for lacking altruism because you made a statement expressing confusion), very fast. I can get with the idea that it should be someone's own choice. But it's also quite an old tradition that many people are very comfortable with and very few take issue with once it's been performed on them. The side…

There's no need to be rude about it. 11 is not a great age to make a lot of the decisions you might wind up being put in a position to make at that age. It's not an ideal world we live in. I had to essentially chose between my father and mother at age 11. It's shitty, but sometimes that's the way the cookie crumbles.

This is actually kind of a rehash of an older one that was pretty well executed. I don't recall it having a comparative side with the man abusing the woman, but it was a couple in a park and the woman began abusing the man and it elicited the exact same amused reactions.

Semantics. You're not bemoaning the suicide statistic itself, you're finding fault with it's label on arguable grounds.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
